Finally the XC90 gets competition, at least with regard to the flattening of the passenger seat. the Chevy Captiva can also (and the almost identical Opel Antara certainly also). So long Christmas trees without the bended tip are thus no problem for the 7-seat Captiva, so far only the XC90 could. By the way Captiva: You don’t have to find it beautiful, but it is practical and variable and the used materials and quality impressions are better than I would have thought. For around 35,000,- Euro you get fully equipped a 4.65 meter long car and in the third row of seats (small) people are also not worse than in the Q7. I’m curious how Opel wants to make the only 5-seater Antara successful against the 7-seater Captiva, especially since the Antara costs at least 2,000 euros more than the Captiva. Un in most dealer showrooms both stand side by side. So for someone who wants to have a lot of SUV and only wants to/can spend a maximum of 35,000,- is d he Captiva with 150 hp diesel certainly an alternative. rolo

Screw size ABS SG
Hello together…… I want to change my ABS/Tracs SG (BJ 96). I need a “innertorx” nut for my ratchet. With a normal nut I can’t get the four screws out. Someone know what size this “innertorx” nut must have? VG Bird

Low-priced tyres
Hello, I would now have to have 4 new summer tyres and think about buying the Nankang NS2, or the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in size 235/35 ZR 19. Has anyone already had experience with the “Billigrafen”? The price differences are GEWALTIG compared to Michelin, Dunlop or Continental. Had so far always Contis and Dunlop on it, but was not so enthusiastic.. Had had read somewhere also that falcons is especially recommended for Volvo.. a falcon seen on a Volvo. Drive a V70 D5. BJ. 2006 Thank you for your opinions. PS: and please don’t bring the sayings like: “If you can’t afford reasonable tires, then don’t drive a Volvo!”

Warm air flap with two mechanisms
Hi, it’s my first post here in the forum. I’ve recently been driving a V70 BJ 99 (motor B5252FS/S with mechanical throttle flap) and have a question about the hot air flap. I know that there are many threads on the topic at different places, but I couldn’t find satisfactory answers so far. I noticed recently that my hot air flap is always a gap open. I then looked at this more closely and found out that in my car two different mechan On the one hand, there is a vacuum hose that is controlled by a thermostat valve at the top of the air filter box. This part seems to work. Then, however, there is also a stretch element on the flap itself. This no longer works properly. It does not come out far enough at normal summer temperatures and the flap is always half open. I took the part out once. If you blow it, it pulls out completely and In the built-in condition, however, this never happens. I checked it in mid-summer with a warm driven engine. Unfortunately, in this construction, as far as I can see through it, the stretch element is not replaceable, since it cannot be taken out as with previous or later models without destroying the housing with the underpressure mechanism. Does anyone know why two different mechanisms were installed here at all? I don’t understand this so properly. My attempts to I am now considering whether I can clamp something behind the stretch element so that the flap is closed in warm weather but can still be opened in the cold by the vacuum hose. Does anyone have experience with this? Alternatively, an older air filter box could also be installed, where you can easily buy the thermostat from Skandix for 26 euros. But I don’t know if this would fit at all and I want to understand for the first time what the two mechanisms are supposed to do before I expand it. I am grateful for any help!

Volvo C30 2.0 Diesel smokes when accelerating black in strong quantities
I have a Volvo C30 BJ 2006 with a 2 LITER diesel engine. The car has 180,000 KM on the clock. I can’t say much about workshop visits etc., because the service manual was only run up to 100,000. The car is not in emergency run mode and when reading out in the Volvo contract workshop there were no results. I try to describe the problem as well as possible: the car starts and m As the driving time increases, the output of the tailpipe is increasing. One sees a more or less black cloud when accelerating and taking the gas away. In addition, it is sometimes very much jerking (acceleration and even with the same position of the pedal). On gradients, the car goes into the knees by leaving a huge cloud and the engine gives the noise of the flap (like the lid on the exhaust pipe of an older truck or tractor). You will find pictures of my intake bridge and injection nozzles. I see an increased accumulation of oil there. I suspect that my problem comes through a leak (sucking in or turbo hose). I hope you can help me and tell me what it is. The car has been moved only about 50km since the first symptoms.

What kind of idiots are there in this world?
I can’t stand it!!! I have to park my car in front of the main road at the moment because my garage was torn down. At the weekend he is standing behind the house in the parking lot (which is actually meant for our customers), during the week in front of the office (I have to go from home to the office 200m). For three days he is standing there. This morning I come and then that. Some xxxxxxxxx (here please use the power expressions of your choice. Several!) has a balloon filled with a water/gips. What kind of xxxxxx are running around here in the world? Is it still possible?!?!??? Is the world going completely crazy now? I can puke! I then got it down with lots of water and then washing system. Luckily no scratches. But does that have to be? My moose is now parked in safety on the yard. Now our customers have to look where they park. The frustrated Mike

Headlamp wiper arm on the right
Good morning dear moose community, before I ask here, I looked only in the search function, but there I found unfortunately nothing exact. When I operate the disc cleaning system, the wipers of the headlights run with. approx. 3-4 times. It is also ok. Only the right one stops, if he gets no ́signal (current) from the steering stick lever anymore. So if I operate the steering stick lever, all wipers sit in motion, I let it go, should all still a few times nac This is also what everyone, except the right headlight wiper, does, which stops as soon as the steering stick lever is no longer operated. In order to get the wiper in the basic position, I always have to operate the steering stick lever easily so that the short power gets and thus is transported to the basic position. The relay can not be, otherwise the others would also stop if I no longer operate the steering stick lever, it will not every So, before I expand the wiper motor, I’d rather ask here what causes this mistake. The wipers are stuck, nothing shakes. Never had a wiper for the headlights, I don’t really need them either, but they are there and they are also on the move. Spring greetings from Düsseldorf

Door locking driver side
Hello together, somehow my V50 just seems to develop a few quirks… The newest thing is now that the door lock on the driver’s side does not always work. Sometimes the buttons of the front and back doors stay up and the car stays open and sometimes not. The typical closing noise can then only be heard from the passenger side. Did anyone have the problem here and know what that could be? See it already coming, that I stand and then everything again Good evening, Pooh.
