Moin together, this morning the moose let me down. Driven off, after 1.5km drive the engine just went off. No error message in the speedometer, after 5min wait again started, jumped briefly at > speed into the cellar and again. By chance I had my reading device with me, exact error code I can not get together anymore but something with fuel pressure. Will first drag the car home tonight and then post the exact error codes again. Someone ev already an idea where I can start troubleshooting or whether a known problem?

Volvo philosophy: coverings and discs at the same time?
Hello together, As someone with “dangerous semi-knowledge” and the C70, I would like to understand what the philosophy of Volvo is about braking wear. If I am not mistaken, the car manufacturers proceed quite differently in the design of their braking system (please let me correct it). Supposedly there is the possibility to wear brake discs and pads at the same time or just to get the energy destruction during braking mainly at the expense of the pads Is there a rule of thumb, especially to our C70? So e.g. “After 2 sets of coverings also the discs have to be renewed” Thank you for your experiences. Greetings, Cesiezig

205/50 R17 to V60
Hello, I have the opportunity to get a Volvo V40 wheel set. The rims are original 17 inches from Volvo with summer tyres 205/50 R17. Can I drive them on my V60 D2 (MY12)? This combination is not included in the manual. I have already written to Volvo Support, of course no response In the PDF attachment, this rim/tire combination for V60 is also not listed. Is this perhaps because the V60 is too heavy for this tyre size? D anke in advance!

Where is the realistic selling price for the S60?
Hello together, as you probably have already read, I am currently considering a V70 due to a relatively good offer, with the sale of my Volvo S60. Now, of course, I’m wondering where the realistic selling price is. And realistically, I also think it’s acceptable for both sides at the same time! I could have tried the usual car exchanges but because of the low running reading I don’t have any comparison options there. The following car is for sale: Volvo S60 2.4 with 170 hp as automatic version First addition: 11/2001 Color: satin-silver metallic Condition: very well maintained condition, vehicle is continuously checked, last inspection in 01/12, accident-free TÜV: until 01/2014, last TÜV report “WITHING MÄNGEL” Kilometer level: approx.51.000 km Equipment: – Audio package HU-603 – automatic transmission, adaptive – on-board computer – parking aid rear – wood decor equipment (part of the design package) – air conditioning – metallic paint – leather handbr emslebel (part of the design package) – Leather steering wheel (part of the design package) – Leather selector lever (part of the design package) – Light alloy rims “Lysithea” – Multifunction for steering wheel – Fog headlights – RTI DVD navigation system – Part leather seats with sports seats (part of the design package) The car has a total of 8x tyres, whereby the winter tires have only been renewed in February this year. So, now I would like to have an approximate price indication from you for such a car. LG from North Rhine-Westphalia

V70 D5 tensioner defective at 104′
Hello all, yesterday at my V70 D5 (AWD Bj 2006 km 104′ the tensioning roller broke, almost paced, the engine went out immediately. The car is now in the workshop, a first compression measurement was ok except for a cylinder (#4) with 20% less. Tomorrow a new timing belt is put on and tested again. Who has experience with this? Can I trust the engine, should it run again? What about the water pump, should I change it precautionly? Thank you for feedback!

Volvo S60 T5 – Question
Hi you moose driver My name is Tom, I am 32 years old and new at Motortalk. At the moment I drive an Audi A4 (I hope you can read the data in the signature), but I am looking for something faster.Shortly to my driving profile: I am a relaxed driver, my way to work are daily about 30km expressway, my travel speed on the BAB are quiet 150, from the age of the traffic light sprint GTI fraction I am out, I just want a car that on my long highway rten (I travel through Germany a few times a month because of work, but fuel costs are irrelevant) offers a few more reserves than my Audi. I came across the BMW 330i E46, of course, also A4 3.0i meets the criteria, but somehow the Volvo S60 T5 appeals to me. I always liked Volvo, which radiate calm and serenity, and 250hp Turbo-PS are also very nice. Since the main reason for the change are as said more reserves, I am primarily interested in d It’s driving performance. (I’ve been fully informed about the reliability and weaknesses) On YouTube you’ll find many acceleration videos of the S60 T5 and it’s pretty fast for everyone, one of them is here:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sCVFmvjluR4 I’m surprised that it’s so fast from 100kmh on, it won’t really slow down in the next 20kmh sections up to 200kmh, which makes the suspicion of a dynamometer video come up. Is the S60 T5 with 250hp really so fast? Thank you and good ride! Tom is very similar in the video and the flasher is set in the video (no one will blink on the test bench to simulate a freeway ride).

Mini-Kat 850 10v switch EURO 2
Hello, I have to roll up the sorry re-encryption topic again, since I have found no relevant answer in the forum even after a long search. The thing is: I bought a mini-cat after I have informed myself which engine types (with me B5252S) installation and control reduction are possible. At the workshop appointment you go through the ABE booklet with me and notice that the transmission type also plays a role. According to Appendix 2J/02 supplement 02 to the test report And this is only possible with automatic transmission. So, I agreed with my workshop man that the exhaust gas values are hardly influenced by the transmission. So the entry is missing, because it simply no one tested (vlt. has Volvo sold this model mainly with automatic transmission?). I have now already written to the company, which carried out the tests, whether there is a supplement for the manual transmission, but have not yet But I think I have read out in some old threads that people with a 850 model like mine have already made this conversion successfully. However, the formulations and information were always somewhat inaccurate. Is there someone out there with the 106kW 850er with Minikat and EURO2 despite 5-speed manual transmission? And if so, how did you get there? Please and thank you and dear greetings! PS: in the appendix my execution of the ‘Approval Document’ which I received from the company Walker to my cat was sent along

Questions about the XC90
Hello Elchgemeinde! Currently I drive a 2008 MB C 320 CDI 4matic T-model. Actually I am very satisfied, but the car with two kids is just big enough. We “work” currently on the 3rd child. So something bigger must come! Since I have always liked Volvos, I immediately thought of the “Dickelch” XC90. I already know that the Dickelch drives quite differently like the C-class. But I now have other priorities. Place, place and place. So and now to my questions: D5 : Will there also be the new D5 with 200hp in the XC90? Just like the XC60. All-wheel: The C-Class has a permanent all-wheel. So when starting in winter there are no spinning wheels. How fast is the all-wheel system reacting to the XC90. Do you remember a spin until the rear wheels are switched on? For information: I do not drive offroad. I only need the all-wheel on snowy mountain roads in the “Ösi-Land”. a baby seat (class 0), a class 1 seat (with H-Gurten) and a class 2-3 (which uses the vehicle belt). I want to buy the 7 seater, however, should not always have to sit down one of the two “big” at the back. What if the trunk is needed? For example for the child car and the purchase… And there is still a good argument for the XC90. With us in the Ösi-Land there are 2 business packs that rely on the kinetics equipment. In the Prinzep you need so nst nothing and has a really great equipped car. So that’s it! I’m looking forward to your answers!

V70 T5 see V70 R
Hello ! Since a friend of mine bought a V70 II AWD with 2.4 T-engine (209 hp) and I could drive it already a few times, I am now interested in a V70, but with me it should also be a bit more “toxic”, not because the 209 hp would not be enough for me, but because I prefer it a bit “exclusive”, so I noticed that besides the 2.4 T-models (i.e. with 200 resp. 209 hp) also a T5 (with 250 hp resp. 260 hp), and also the further The T5 with manual transmission is obviously rarer in the offer than with automatic (I prefer to switch). I read that there are problems with the hand brake cheeks at first (although V70-General), but from the T5 engines one does not actually read too much of special flaws or problems here, unfortunately there is no AWD. Therefore I would be interested in experiences or tips, what you should pay special attention to with the T5. The R was also available with manual transmission, this model would also appeal to me, especially since it was delivered with AWD, but apparently there were some engine problems with cylinder head or engine block, which often only occurred in the year 2004-2005 ?? excessive. It is clear that the R plays from the maintenance over the T5 in another league, but the T5 and the R in offers of Fzg. with lower mileage m. E. after not so hugely apart, so that the R maybe nevertheless, especially since it probably also not so often sold in the Federal Republic of Germany, interesting appears. Therefore, I would be interested here also, if available, experiences and tips regarding the R. Greeting! Stefan
