Good evening dear motor-talkers, I have a little problem with my dear 97-V70. For some time now the carpets in all four footrooms are not really wet, but still a little damp. I didn’t notice that at first, since the floor mats are dry themselves, only it smells something now and the windows fogged when it is cold outside. But the air conditioner cleans this relatively quickly and thoroughly free. At first it doesn’t seem to be serious, but it irritates me and Once there were drops in the area of the switch lever. But up to now only once came before. Next weekend I wanted to look in front of the windshield and check the drains. I also change the air filter, which is ordered immediately. I hope I can do that, but with the contributions on the topic here, this should be feasible. Do you have another idea what it could be? How can I just check if the door seals still have their name all Is there a trick? Could they become more dense with Hirschtalg or something else? Otherwise, I am grateful for every tip that could help a Greenhorn in terms of car like me.

Volvo V70 R / T etc. – best “base engine” B5234, B5244 or B5254 ?
moin ! is just about to give me a v70 beautiful spinning (or I know that it is beautiful, I mean of course the purchase). base should be a v70 of the first generation, so fl after 850, 5 cylinder turbo, i.e. 2.3 or 2.4 ltr. lifting space. with a healthy starting base I want to give the engine even more air or steam, i.e. downpipe, exhaust system etc. which of the 3 mentioned motor variants is considered as stable or has the least bitches ? whether lpt or hpt is secondary, the mo tor should simply run freer, have a little more horses and do this for a very long time. most interesting combi I would find the first xc with the engine power of the r… you will probably still be allowed to spin ah, hand switch is mandatory.

Subsoil treatment
Good evening dear elk friends. I was a few days ago at the workshop of my (still) vetrauens for an oil and brake fluid change and the nice Mr. KFZ-Mechaniker said I should drive my V70 still 2 years and not put in anything (thinking) since the underfloor has already rusted. He showed with the places and it was not rusted through or similar only two metal pipes were already well rusted (possibly for the front brakes?). New underbody protection ? Has someone done this before or knows someone who had it done ? I find here in Essen no real workshop that does that but only make it on the net to myself. Thanks already for the help.

Removable AHK does not go down
Dear Community, my 850er Kombi Bj. 95 was delivered with a detachable coupling. Unfortunately, the hook cannot be dismantled. At the coupling side right is a lever, which you only have to turn down, then the thing should dissolve. But I failed despite all efforts and fineness respectively roughness. In a post I read once that there were problems with these AHK passports, and that the AHK were therefore fixed by the workshops. Can someone confirm this, knows the “problem” or has a tip? Thank you and thank you very much, Bernhard

Diesel engine goes out in case of cold / Abroad / Volvo Assistance
Hello, everyone, I have a V70 Diesel automatic, 130 hp, 2004 year, checkbook maintained, so far perfectly run. But I am currently in strong cold (-14 degrees) abroad; engine starts perfectly, but goes out after about 10 seconds again. This happened 7 or 8 times in a row, only the 9 or 10 times the engine ran through. Do not dare me now to drive longer distances, because I could stay lying down. What does it usually cost, the diesel filter or the Dross And: Has one of you had experience with the Volvo Assistance service, how fix they help with foreign problems? Thanks for the answers!!!

Request for purchase advice V70
Hello! After long reading I decided to register and join the forum. I am thinking of buying a V70 gasoline with 140 hp. BJ should be between 2003 and 2004. Currently I have an Alfa 166 2.4 jtd as a everyday car, an old Alfa Spider as a summer car and a Lancia Kappa Coupe Turbo 20V as a lover car! Since I have family, all this becomes too much for me and I sell the 166 and the Lancia. After a long study of the forum I have myself for The 140 HP petroler decided, because I live in Austria, and so I can never drive fast and the tax and insurance is measured after the performance. My usual distance in and to work are 15 km mostly rural road. My annual output is approx. 15,000 km. Diesel I don’t like any more, because I had a turbo damage in my 166 and thus got to know the very big repair costs. Since there is practically no V70 petroler in Ö I will probably get one from Germany ho However, since I am Volvo Laie I ask you for your tips. The following vehicle would be in question for me:http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=b1m4jfg1qwwk Does anyone know the vehicle? Is that something or is there an absolute exclusion criterion? Would I be pleased about your help! Thank you Luigi Risotto

New XC90 or something else?
Hello, the leasing contract of my XC90 runs out soon. Now the question is: What do you do? After 2 x 3 years XC90 you could get along with something else, but our Dickelch is clever. Who has chosen an XC90 in the last 6 months, and if so which equipment line? Does someone have the R design? How is the chassis compared to the XC90 Exec? And to the Ex-XC90 drivers: What do you drive now and how is your experience compared to the XC90 Exec? C90? I have a choice of XC90 R-Design, BMW X5 3.0D (is unfortunately a little expensive in leasing, as well as in the “money-value advantage” or a new E-Class CDI250 T-Model (if it doesn’t become a 7 seater). I’m a bit torn back and forth. Maybe you can help me with your experience a little bit. Thank you Langer02

Clutch over ? Or something else
Hi together , my moose is slowly coming into the years I’ve been having a distinct clonk noise for some time when inserting the first gear. I can actually shut out the drive shafts, because the noise has nothing to do with load wobble/driving operation. It has the following effect: 1. I step in the clutch and put in the first gear –> Klonk! (from the direction of the gear) 2. I take out the gear and put in again –> no noise (I hold the whole gear) 2. I take out the gear and put in again –> no noise (I hold the whole gear) Time the clutch pedal kicked) 3. However, I hurriedly walk off the clutch and then re-enter and insert the gear again there is the —> clone. The noise is considered dependent on the first pedal pedal pedal. What can that be ????? Thank you!

Filled the wrong oil?
Hello everyone! I drive a Volvo XC70 D5, Heico Tuning 140kw (actually 120kw), built on Feb. 2004, 5-GearTronic. The following: In the case of the previous insp. (20.000km, 40,000km, 60,000km, 80,000km) only oil of the quali. A4/B4 5w-40 has been filled in. The 100,000 km insp. was carried out, because of the change of residence, at another friendly. This other friendly has at the 100,000 km insp. (according to invoice) a Castrol Magnatec Prof. A1/B1 5W-30 light running oil filled. Wa But now I’m so surprised: In the Bertieb manual of the vehicle, however, it says, quite clearly, that an oil of the quality of B4 is “prescribed” for the diesel. Unfortunately, I only noticed it too late (now standing just before the 120,000 km insp.), when I recently sorted the invoices. The shock was great. How can this happen to the mechanic/mechatronician, because to fill in the wrong oil? He should actually see that this is one of Volvo’s I have heard that there are supposedly more light running oils of the Quali. A1/B1 are used. Do I now, by the wrong oil, have a problem with the engine? Or am I now completely mistaken in this case and the friendly has acted correctly? Greetings. Dickerhase

Volvo 850 2.5 10V runs too fat
Hi men, my moose has the following problems, if the car is standing for a long time so if I make a cold start then it jumps directly on but starts the first minute extremely restless. So whether it does not run on all pots. After a short time it runs like a clockwork. Another problem is the crippling gas acceptance. It assumes gas etc. But is not as splashy as it should be. In general I have a considerable power loss in the overall speed range. light. Fuel consumption is also exorbitant And the exhaust gas smells strongly of gasoline. I used the symtoms to expand the spark plugs and they say quite clearly: too fat! Have the whole ignition system overtaken so that leaves out as a source of error besides it has nothing to do with the fat run. Only where is the fault? If the lambda probe should be the culprit then the MIL should be on. But that’s out. Note: I have the Fenix 5.2 Does any of you already have such Had problems ? Lg –
