Hello here is my first post in this great forum. short introduction: I am since Nov.2002 proud owner of a V70 D5 manual transmission (yes — already another ?!) EZ 04/02 leather, royal blue, combi luxury package,… (previously 850Kombi 140PS – also satisfied). Unfortunately, the following problem arises with me for a short time. At the cold start I have to “gurgle” the engine about 5sec until it starts. The outside temp. plays a smaller role. Also with or without preglosses sets no difference. Maybe someone already had a similar problem? I only checked the fuses so far and could not detect a defect. My dealer wants to read out the error memory today, but I think that doesn’t do anything yet. Thanks for every answer.!

one more tire question
Hi, the change on winter tires is on. I will need new summer tires for summer 2011. Now there is a lot of information about tires, but sometimes very old. ADAC tested (03.10) and in my size 225x45x17 (S60, D5, BJ2007) there is the following recommendation – Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, ContiSportContact 3, Dunlop SP SportMAXX TT, Michelin PilotSport PS3 and Pirelli Cinturato P7 (all especially recommended). I have read a lot of bad things about Conti. Dunlop convinces So stay Bridgestone or Michelin – I didn’t find any reviews about Pirelli. Has anyone had any experience with it? Is it recommended? According to the test, it should be particularly good for wear, comfort and fuel consumption – can anyone confirm that? Another question – do you buy summer tyres for 2011 now (offers) or rather at the beginning of the season? Thanks for the answers Jaro

Tyre damage at 150 km/h on the motorway
Recently on the highway I had a tire damage at 150 km/h. First a slight vibration, we thought it was the road, then it was fast to the thing and it was quite unbalanced and a hit to feel…. As fast as I went I drove to the right. It smoked and smelled terrible. Tyre damage to the right back. Dunlop 235er , 18″ about 25000 km at the hump, only 2 weeks ago I had my Pickerl inspection in Austria….in D that would be the TÜV (everything ok!). , it was external circumstances, nail or something like that. God’s thanks nothing grosser happened. However, it’s reassuring to sit in a Volvo when something happens.

Hey coolest Kommjuniti up in the world This morning I complain to my colleague, my V70 just doesn’t get warm anymore. The temperature indicator is almost on the middle after 15km and still only cold air comes out of the side nozzle. Ok I have now driven relatively much in the dark and was always happy when the windshield had not started.. Thought if I can read something with Delphi there, after the car gets warm. Today when I drove in daylight, thought ic h me, why is the fresh air flap actually open, so the rotary knob on the left of the nozzles above the center console. I turn up and see there, WARM had to turn down the heating after 5km, despite 0 degrees *eek* Ok to my excuse, with the S80 and XC90 you only set to automatic Oh man!

Expulsion in the gas acceptance
Moin, I need your help with the diagnosis. I changed the condenser of the climate about four weeks ago and had to remove the fan for this. I was extremely careful with all cables so that I would not break anything. After everything was assembled again, I connected the battery again and started the engine. It then stuttered just in front of it, the fault lamp for the electronic throttle went on and then it is already dead n. I had forgotten to connect the suction tube pressure sensor again, so the plug, the vacuum hose sat on it. Since then it has not been reproducible so that (in my opinion) the motor control again and again quite extremely throttles the power. This is expressed so that, e.g. in the third gear straight ahead at approx. 2500 revolutions can hardly accelerate, the motor tortures itself really high. And a second later the full power is there again. Dependent, even full or partial load does not seem to matter. Otherwise the engine runs very quietly, without any jerker. The throttle valve was overhauled at ecu four years ago, cooling water sensor is completely new, BPR is new. Errors are unfortunately not stored. Does anyone know which sensors are installed in the area of the fan so? Maybe someone knows the error and can help me there on the jumps.

Water coolers exchange instructions at 850 t5
Moin moin to the species, would have to replace a water cooler at t5, switch with engine oil cooler. Question: how does it work with the hoses from the oil cooler? Can’t understand a clear attachment to the water cooler. Is an extra tool of necessity to solve the pipes on the cooler? Do I need afterward which parts to reseal? How much time could it take. Moin together, since questions about the equipment, color codes and accessories are asked over and over again, I thought a data collection with original documents would be useful. In addition, every thing like original configuration and purchase price can understand. I personally always find something very interesting. At the V70/S70 I have at least for the model year 00 all documents like brochures and will summarize this immediately in a post. Price lists from 1993 until construction end the P80 platform was sent to me by two users from the general Volvo forum here, thank you for that! But with some more documents I would need your help then.

Hello together, I have a ’96 V40 (1.8L 16V) with now only 163 tkm and am at the split prices at the consider whether I have a gas plant installed. now I have asked a few more questions and namely: whether you have good experiences with or not?? how expensive is the installation or can you also put on your own hand that it will be cheaper ?? or does one of you know one of the installs ?? Volvo S80 II Dynaudio Front Speakers – What possibilities exist?
Hello dear community, now that my Volvo dealer has found out that the two front speakers of my Dynaudio system are defective (low driver) and this is not part of the VOLVO SELEKT used car warranty, is the question for me whether there is a possibility to have them exchanged more cost-effectively than with the dealer or to exchange them yourself? It is the DYNAUDIO system with 12 loudspeakers and 5×130 Watt digital amplifier, which a b the model year 2007 was installed in the S80 (probably equal to the system from the V70III). Is there perhaps also loudspeakers of other manufacturers, which can be integrated into the system and fit accordingly under the door panel into the corresponding devices? The exchange should cost about 570,00€ and I would be interested if there are not perhaps more affordable alternative options, as regards the exchange? Maybe someone has experiences? Which diagnostic software/tester is suitable for Volvo?
I am looking for a “reasonable” OBD diagnosis with reading/lossing function for the moose. The “simple” devices (universally) have proven to be of little help. Wrlches OBD handheld device or software (except Vida) offers itself then?. Vida do not get on the laptop to run, moreover, it is too cumbersome for me to carry a laptop. Wolf_o
