First of all, a “hello” to everyone. Now to my request: At the moment, I drive another Opel Vectra. As this one slowly blows out his life, I am looking for a new “needed”. Like chance, a neighbor just sold his V50. It’s a V50 BJ. 2005 2.0D with 50,000km on the clock. The car is checkbook maintained and also the optical condition is 1A. There are even floor mats over the foot mats have been laid…. Since I find Volvos long time ago it is really in the fingers. Well, my question. I already have a little googled and find all the opinions: From Super Car to Total Scrap. Especially, the reports about engine damage and similar capital damage have scared me. Of course, I don’t need that if I now claim for a car, that he will have a motor damage next year. (Guarante has one of privately purchased ones). How do you see this? Are the “individual cases” or is here a serial greeting.

After transmission damage now a defective climate……
After 40000 the PS gearbox on the board***** my climate loses the coolant. Was filled up about a month ago (was down to almost 300g). Today only warm air came again. Compressor doesn’t turn on anymore. So think that it is empty again. Really to break slowly the box. Car is just 1.5 years old… that’s not a lemon but a whole lemon tree…………doesn’t really have any fun anymore. I also hoped that the flapping at the higher temps will be less. was probably nothing. like a children’s rattle……….. Am already a little disappointed at the moment.

Optiflow Intake and additional instruments V50 T5
Moin, so I would like to know if anyone has already had experiences with the BSR Optiflow Intake?! I have already looked at the system of K&N, but I am completely averse to it, because the control unit does not get any “fresh air” in any way and could therefore possibly overheat it. I like the system of BSR already more, because the air filter is still shielded by a complete box which is roughly identical to the original part, also the connection for the fresh air supply is guaranteed. I would like to install something like this, however, because the control unit is usually cooled by the flowing air. If anyone has had personal experiences with it, I would be happy to hear if a cooling of the ECU is actually guaranteed. Point 2 Besides, I wanted to build additional instruments, mainly oil temp and oil pressure, but charging pressure would also be nice to thank you. These new cars have something that is no longer in it, actually something that is really useful!

Problems with my C30 D5
Hello to all friends of Sweden. I have my C30 D5 Momentum with all the extras except body kit since March 07. (price approx. 35T€) I find the car is a small but very nice blender. After about 8TKM and half a year I can report the following: 1. Low power, subjectively at the level of approx. 120 – 140 Diesel-PS 2. Consumption between 8.3 and 9.5 l/100 Km after “Software update” in case of two complaints with the dealer (before 9-10,3 l/Km) 3. Top speed is not reached – max. speed approx. 210 km/h (but only after a long start) 4. Rugging in gears, especially when switching down in the small gears 5. Kick-down is only reluctantly assumed 6. Cracking in driver’s seat during cornering 7. Wind noises in the driver’s door starting from 160 km/h 8. Disc wiper motion on the brake pedal is noticeable 9. Vibrations in the disguise. rear and on the sliding roof with open roof. As a small criticism, I would still perform the seats without sides. If the other D30 D30 or the car can not keep quiet with the D30 or even with the driver’s.

Volvo V50: detailed specifications (especially for Geartronic)
Hello to the Volvo models (especially V50) detailed specifications on the Internet, i.e. with transmission ratios, brake sizes etc. – I am particularly interested in the automatic transmission in the V50 in connection with the diesel engines. Is there any data/specifications on the Internet – or experts here in the forum?! I am particularly interested in: – Is it an automatic converter, or a double coupling gearbox (DKG)? – If DKG, which manufacturer? (Always still the carrier gearbox, as Ford is built? – How does the manual mode work? (We automatically kick-down in “M” prevented?; Are there additional switch swabs?) – Which transmission translations does the automatic transmission have? (incl. final translation?) – Does the transmission have a start-stop automatic? (Has anyone practical experience with the automatic?) Greetings from the South!!

V70 I Petrol 2l 10V 93 KW
Hello, I have a question about the performance of the 126 hp 2l 5-cylinder petrol engine. My V70 from 1997 with 271,000Km mileage has become quite lame especially when climbing climbs. Since I bought the car used, I don’t know myself how the engine ran before, but from an acquaintance who had possessed the same model once again I know that the engine had at some point dropped significantly. Does anyone of you Volvo connoisseurs know what could be responsible for it? The idle running is impeccable. A Volvo master told me on the phone what about an air volume meter that could possibly be the reason, but since I didn’t find any in my car in the area of the air supply, I assume that he didn’t have any. In various engine talk posts it was also to read that only the turbobenziners have such an air mass meter. Will be like that,or? Did anyone find the same problem with the weaker engine power and a solution? I have developed the intake temperature light today and did not feel good inside?

Help!
Hello everyone! What I was afraid of (battery too weak ), came in. When I wanted to start today, nothing went any more. I now hanged it on the charger and the battery takes on power, BUT: The immobilizer does not stop blinking when I plug in the pen. It continues to flash and a start is not possible. Does anyone have a tip? I can’t go any further. I have to say something about it: above the passenger door, inside, behind the “fear attack” (handling handle ) is a small rosette with a small hole in the middle. There comes out, as soon as the ignition is switched on, a very strange noise, a kind of clatter. It stops when you turn off the ignition again. Could possibly have to do with the central locking. I had often gone after this noise unsuccessfully. Today I found it by accident.

Contact plate (Zündschloss) Volvo 850 Kombi
Hello together, some time ago I asked here about an electrical fault and got help immediately. I was pointed out to the contact plate in the ignition lock at the Volvo 850 Kombi. Yesterday I was finally at a Volvo dealer near us (after the error now permanently occurs) and wanted to buy the part. In the forum it was written that the plate costs 35-50 Euro, and when the dealer then yesterday wanted to have 152,- Euro without installation I was quite surprised. Therefore my question… Is there different parts or is this perhaps different from model to model? 152,- Euro for the contact plate was too expensive for me and therefore I ask here again, maybe someone has an idea what went wrong… Didi

Sports exhaust on 2,4i
Hi, today I gave my little one in the hands of the friend and his doctors for less than 2 hours. Now the double tube system of Heico as well as the appropriate air filter is mounted. I can only say I am thrilled. I liked the sound of the 5cylinder before but now it is simply HAMMER. In the area of 2000-3000upm it roars something in the interior that can disturb a manchma but from 3000 it sounds more like V6 than after 5cylinders. The workmanship is of course also Top and a body kit Volvo with only one tube looks somehow unfinished . I take the days still photos and try to somehow make some good recordings of sound and upload them.
