  • V70 III – Retrofit electric seats?

    Dear Moose Community! I and my wife want to look at this car soon Click The car would be very nice to us and has almost optional equipment except for (you will guess it) the electric seat adjustment with memory! My question would be if you can retrofit it with manageable effort? Should you call it: old seats out, seats from a scrapper in, possibly unlock software, ready. Is such a thing possible? What would the actual effort be? Mfg Ben

  • New presentation V60 T5 Summum

    Hello together After almost thirteen years and almost 350’000km in my beloved V40 2.0T Nordic, I have become proud owner of a V60 T5 summum (EZ 01/2016). During the takeover there were only 43’070km on the clock. Meanwhile, there are already 90km more… After the first longer ride I’m just thrilled. Of course, the car can’t be compared to the V40 in any way anymore, although in my opinion it was also a great car in its time. At the moment I’m still a bit beaten up by the infotainment system and the whole setting possibilities… I’m absolutely thrilled by the DAB+ reception. That’s absolutely impossible to compare with the FM radio in the V40. Especially because the analog radio reception in Switzerland became continuously worse. I couldn’t hear any more noise-free radio over long distances. Now: crystal clear sound, just wonderful. Besides the impractical shelves for me, I somehow have the feeling that j I’m going to have to get some more advice from the Routiniers here in the forum until I have some insight.   • Volvo V60 BJ 2016 Summer tyres – 225/45 instead of 215/50 R17 possible? (because of tyre selection)

    Hello dear forum members, I’ve signed up for this post, I hope I do everything right – give my best and hope to understand any errors. I’m driving a Volvo V60, Late 2016. I didn’t find rims directly in the Volvo document (commissioning permit, homologation). These are these here: https://arena-wheels.de/…c-v90-cc-xc40-xc60-u-d-wheels-et50-new.html …only as 17 inch rims that require 215/50. had even called Volvo directly and my workshop, but they always referred me to the Volvo document (manufacturer’s certificate).The question: It only remains for me to choose 215 / 50 R17 tyres, correct? Or does anyone have 225 / 45 tyres on their Volvo? (legality is the A and O!) Thank you for reading, your time and answers! Best regards!

  • Glass damage Windshield

    Hi together, My V50 parked outside in wind and weather and unfortunately survived the storm on Saturday not completely harmless. In any case I have since been on the driver’s side at the lower end of the windscreen (in the black area) star-shaped cracks, one of which reaches about 8cm in the transparent area and is also visible from the inside. The damage was probably caused by a wooden block (at least that was still on the ventilation grid). Neither from the outside nor from the inside is however m I’m not sure if an exchange is really a good idea after the experiences I’ve been doing with workshops for the past few years. And if so, rather to the friendly one, who knows how to remove the claddings, but has less experience in bonding or to a glass specialist, who has a lot of experience in making them look good, and who knows how to remove them.   • V50 stands at the Volvo dealership for over 2 years

    Good evening! It’s about this car: https://www.comparis.ch/carfinder/marktplatz/volvo/v50/15185853 The car is currently on an uncovered stand at the Volvo dealership. It would also have a certain warranty (but I’m not sure if it would still be valid after the 29 months…). What would be special when buying it?   • Volvo V50 2.0 D BJ 2006 – “pocken” while driving (back right)

    Moin, first of all the data about the car: – Volvo V50 – 2.0 D – BJ 2006 – 130.000k KmNow to the problem: For about 3 weeks I have heard a “pocken” from the rear right when driving. At about 40kmh it starts to become well audible and the faster I drive, the louder/faster it becomes. I then looked at the tires and could not notice anything, but since they would have been up this year anyway, I bought new ones and had them raised yesterday. What else can that be? My ideas: – Wheel bearings –> that should be more crunchy, but my sound sounds as if you have a bump in the tire that produces a corresponding noise on the ground and in the vehicle at every turn. Also, it won’t get worse/better in curves – rim –> That should have been seen when the tires were balanced, or? – Brake disc –> Can such a thing happen from a minima, if necessary? l crooked brake disc coming? For me it looks good, but I don’t want to rush out anything, but I really don’t believe it. More ideas? I still tend to the wheel bearings myself, but videos at youtube show a different sound than mine.   • Volvo C30 – Suitable for beginners?

    Dear MOTORTALK forum, a little something to me: I will soon be 18, have the FS since Nov ’14 and drive since the regularly accompanied almost every day a T5 Multivan. I want to have as fast as possible own car and also have the luck to have a job next to the school to afford it ;-). But on the subject: I am very impressed by the Volvo C30 with the 1.6l machine. I have already researched in detail what a used one costs (car + insurance + tax + tax + tax + tax + tax + tax + tax + tax + tax stop + maintenance). The question I ask myself: Is it suitable as a first car of my own? Can I expect that it can achieve 200,000km and more without having to put in more than it cost? For qualitative answers I would be very grateful 🙂

  • C70 2.5T 193 PS Automatic – Tuning?

    Hi! I bought an Audi TT with K04 conversion, larger injection nozzles, stainless steel from turbo in 3″. other LLK, other gasoline pump etc. and it is really fun. I gave it to my friend because he is too small for me. Now I bought a C70 2.5T 193 PS automatic EZ 3/1999 with 101.000 KM for fun because I am an old Volvo fan 🙂 Before that I had a C30 D5 with 210 hp and 510 NM – very horny but unfortunately with diesel sound…. I had this n 2.5T engine already in the V70 and in the C70 convertible – but as a hand switch. The V70 got a different chip soldered and thus reached 204 hp at the test bench and approx. 350 NM torque. It goes quite well and clean but could be of course even better 🙂 Now I want to get a little up with the coupé with the power! I thought of: 3″ downpipe with metal cat (would the tuning company in my vicinity make themselves) 2,5″ ferrita stainless steel from Kat The exhaust is done anyway (Auto st This combination would then be adjusted by means of software on the test bench. What looks out about power and above all – does the 4-speed automatic last without any problems? What would be the next step? Does a different loader fit the serial manifold? Is the charging air at the C70 sufficiently cooled or could you change something? What do you think of the open air filters like BSR etc.? I am grateful for your tips! LG

    Hello, the last years I have been able to enjoy the growing number of visitors (thanks to you for your coming). As Markus already wrote in his thread, everything is different this year. So I finally wait for the further development in relation to Corona. I hope the best. Date collisions are already excluded thanks to Markus Terminansage. I would like to put my crickets on September. The exact date is not yet set. But think about mid-September. Willkomm As always, I put grill with necessary heating material, seating with tables, 1 box of water and a box of beer. Planned is a small exit. Look forward to numerous guests, many Volvos and a great day/evening.
