Moin moin, for two days my moose likes to remain idle over 1000 revolutions. Sometimes even up to 1500 high. The problem can be solved in the short term by stepping on the gas. If it falls off from a higher speed, it does not exist this problem. I have already looked up the vacuum hoses and sprayed brake cleaners on it. He did not react. Then I cleaned the idle switch. Unfortunately, this did not work. If the engine however in idle so fast spins and I pull the plug off from the idler, the speed drops. When I plug it up again everything normalizes. Sometimes, however, it reacts extremely late on the plug. Do you have some clues?

V70 high oil consumption
Hello, my V70 (BJ 98, MY1999) 2.5T (141kw) worries me. The oil consumption is about 2l per 1000km, trend rising. Current mileage 121500. I had already asked for this in the workshop at 90tkm, since the consumption was still about 0.5-1l per 1000km. The master thought this was normal with such an “old” car and the short distance (daily 2x 20km) does its rest. The engine probably does not lose oil, neither to house nor at the office are the ugly spots in the parking lot to be discovered. Is there a general problem or where you can start there? My workshop thinks you have to take the engine apart, sounds to me something “we are looking for the needle in the haystack” and not necessarily coordinated. Engine compartment squirts at operating temperature
Moin moin, And I have the problem at the moment that if I drive my elk at operating temperature and then stop that my engine room starts to smoke and stink as if someone was grilling. Engine damage Volvo V60 D4
Hello dear user, yesterday after our holiday in Italy my Volvo was divorced from life. Overall we drove in the last 10 days 3,000 kilometers by car. Yesterday on the return trip the unthinkable happened. We drove down from a rest yard after we made a short toilet break. When I then drove on the acceleration lane and accelerated, the car accelerated quite normally up to approx. 100KM/h and at once took no more gas a n. When I looked into the rear-view mirror I saw a black smoke cloud. So we saved ourselves with the engine switched off and waited for the ADAC. Today we got a call from the Volvo contract workshop and the nice gentleman on the phone told us that the car has a motor damage and we have to get an replacement engine. Cost point : 10,000Euro After I talked to the Vetragwerkstatt at our place today, he only said, Is that okay? I think it’s a bad performance for Volvo, because the car is just 3 years old and has a checkbook. It only has 79,000KM down. Furthermore, the car has been lying down four times in the 3 years due to problems with the turbo and every time again had problems with jerking during the ride. For 1.5 years now, the car has been running at the same time. n was quiet until yesterday… Here is a short list of the changed parts in the period from 14.08.2013 to 15.01.2014 – Charging air tube Turbocharger – Charging air cooler Turbocharger – EGR valve – Turbocharger control valve – alternator Can it be that these things were already harbingers? Engine room wash yes or no?
Moin in the round of the moose drivers, how do you stand on the topic of engine wash? Does this increase the longevity of the components in the engine compartment or rather result in consequential damage due to water in places where it does not belong due to the high pressure when washing. Steering suddenly difficult – what cause?
Moin, with my XC70 EZ 09 D5 GT AWD 221 tkm since today suddenly the following problem: car parked in front of the supermarket. When driving off a more than heavy steering. The servo support is definitely no longer available. I then tortured myself with the car to my nearby workshop. Error messages were only shortly before the workshop. Battery symbol and red triangle. I want to get distance disks for it to look harmonious. The tire hinsel said, I should take a water-wag and hold the at the upper edge fenders and then measure (tire hub to the water-wag) then I have about the size I can take. Gasaget did. The result is about 55mm per page,if I now get 50mm slices, do I have to pay attention to what? 50mm slices is already a lot. Or should I rather measure inside fenders/wheel?
