How do I raise my Geartronic for the 2.5T?
Hello Moose Driver I don’t have a P2 car (more), but the new V70III and the S80II both as 2.5T with GT. Since this engine configuration is not very widespread with the new models, I would like to get rid of my question in this forum, since there are some of you who have a petrol turbo with GT… Question: How can I educate the GT so that it uses the good speed band (3000- 5000 rpm) and not from 5500 rpm? Unfortunately, the automaton switches a lot to the 2.5T. The turbo works especially efficiently in the middle speed band. How do I have to drive so that I can get the GT back up at 5500 Umin at the latest? Thank you all! All dear Armand

Speed-dependent power steering XC90
Hello dear XC90 municipality, since I am currently configuring an XC90 and I would like to order it next week, I would like to hear opinions on the speed-dependent power steering. Since there are no explanations in the catalog, and the dealer could not explain to me in a plausible way which are the advantages now, I ask for information, test results, etc. The question with me is now: will the steering with the price-dependent speed-dependent power steering direct and sport Does any of you have this in the XC90 ? WHEN with what experiences. Thank you very much in advance Ocean Race

Cruise control is sporadic (850)
From the kFkA thread: Quotation: @schweigers96 wrote on 6 September 2022 at 09:22:12 h: Would attach me here (also 850). Tempomat sometimes works perfectly for hours, then suddenly no more and sometimes at the beginning not at all. Sometimes it falls out when I drive over a Huckel. Presumably, either one of the electric pedal switches or one of the pneumatic pedal valves holds “just like that” and is sensitive to Wackler. (manual transmission, therefore switch/ve) ntile at clutch and brake.) The units have already been withdrawn with the method and pedal pedals are adjusted, which did not bring any improvement. There are also no error codes. Concrete question: Who has an idea of how to limit which of the four shut-off devices is to blame?

Stupid rims/tires Questions
Hello together! I have to admit, I have no idea at all about the subject of tires / rims, for me tires were so far just black and round Therefore two short, hopefully not all too stupid questions: (1) I am currently riding a set of winter tyres 205/55 R16 on my original Volvo rims. In summer I ride on the same rims 215/55 R16 tires. How can this be that 205 and 215 tires fit on these rims? (2) I also have the thread ” V70 I rims on V70 II” and don’t really look through it. I also read through the document of the German Federal Road Transport Agency for tyre registration. Therefore my second question: Could one be purely theoretical, if all values are identical (e.g. 205/55 R16, 6.5Jx16 etc.) also tyres of a Mercedes, a Ford or VW Passat mounted on a Volvo V70 II? Wouldn’t it be the same sizes, hole circle etc. I think about my already existing aluminiums with winter tyres a set of aluminiums with summer tyres. Does anyone have a recommendation for a few good & cheap aluminium wheels or complete wheels (205-215er)? I drive about 50-60 tkm per year – 75% BAB – 15%Land – 10% City Thank you for your explanations!

XC 70 AWD D5 eats water, someone ideas ??
Hello , have an XC 70 AWD D5: the following problems exist there…who has ideas where to start my search: 1) were traveling 2007 and 2008 with caravans in Croatia, on every longer mountain he became regularly too warm, so up to 3/4 of the display, on normal track he then went back quickly to the normal area over , or with the help of the heating inactivation it was under control… ..but only with caravan, otherwise never occurred 2) now for about 6 months he consumes water, a uf 1000km so far 1 liter – water is nothing in the oil – despite the pressure at the dealer to detect no exit up to 3 bar – machine runs flawlessly, no jerking or the like, according to. dealer can not get water into the combustion room, would immediately jerk etc. the machine would be oversensitive So big question where is the water ???? Has DA JEMAND IDEEN, or could it be the head gasket … could it burn through the heater, there must also a heat exchanger sitting, could that be ??? About help I would be grateful

V70 – Snarling in the rear
Hello, my highly appreciated V70D5 AWD from 10/2004 (MY05) annoys me with its characteristic in the rear area. This actually only at outside temperatures below + 15°C. In addition, there is the well-known roof buzzing exactly in the middle, when the basses come a bit deeper from the audio system. Because of both I was already at least 3 times at the . This was tried, but it could not turn it off anyway. I am close to the despair, even if by fellow drivers I’m sure the one or the other here in the forum has already experienced similar things. Thanks, LG Hans

Steady heating Removing runtime restriction
Moin, have the SH active in my V70 D5 EZ 02. Since I do now also from time to time holiday tours in areas where it is partly still quite cold in spring and autumn (a small selection on my side ) and I spend the night in the vehicle, I also use the SH sometimes at night. However, this switches off by immediately start or by timer after a certain time. That is quite annoying if it is short minus degrees and then one somehow the night over by means of timer 1, timer 2. I have a good sleeping bag that keeps you still warm even in low temperatures but with SH it should also be different. I have now learned from an acquaintance with VW bus, which can be lifted by a small change in its standard SH the time limit. Is there such a thing also with the “elk heating”? I know very well, that then probably the battery and fuel monitoring will not work anymore. ends in the mountains of Serbia and Montenegro for mountain biking – but only in autumn

Should I dare again? XC90
Hello forum, I have been reading with you for a while and with the idea to buy an XC90 again. Until about 2 years ago we had a 2.5T Bj. 2003 when this then occurred with approx. 100TKM again and again small and bigger various problems, we sold this. However, we still mourn the moose, because it is in itself a nice and practical SUV. Now Kind No. 3 is available (the other two are 3 and 4 years old) and we definitely need a large 5 Sit The choice is really small in this segment, from all the ugly typical family bombers (Touran, Caddy, Sharan, Zafira, Multivan, Vito). Used Mercedes R or GL are still available. Q7 X5 and ML are, in my opinion, too small (seat width). We would be interested in an XC90 D5 from year 2008 with automatic and semi-good equipment. What is your opinion, again Volvo XC or yet a Benz? I know this completely ve Different characters are, but we like them anyway. The newer XC90 should not be as vulnerable as those before Facelift models. How are your experiences. Thank you for your help and many greetings XC90MS

S60 headlights
Hello to each other, I have removed the left headlight of my S60 from 2002 and would like to remove the headlight glass from the housing, as it is always fogged from the inside. I have removed the metal clips connecting the glass and housing, but the glass does not leave easily. I do not dare, however, because I fear that I will damage the glass. Has someone successfully and without damage the glass separated from the housing? Is this possible at all or si Is there a typical flaw in the humidity in the headlight? Neither the glass nor the housing are damaged. Greetings from Braunschweig Martin
