  • Price stability XC90 vs. price decline V70?

    Moin! I would like to hear your opinions about my observations regarding the prices of the V70 and XC90. I got a V70II summ in 2009, year 2005 and almost 90,000 km on the clock, for quite exactly 25,000 euros, which was at the time a kind of reference price for a fully equipped V70. A not even initially equivalent equipped XC90 I would have got with the same Bj./running performance for approx. 27k, a summum for well over 30k. A few weeks later set with Volvo the P and mine had exactly the same V70 standing on the farm, only 1 year younger and with over 50,000 km less mileage. This V70 went horribly away for under 21k and that gave at the time a “wasting premium” of 6.000 euros. So I would have had to spend less of the proceeds from my old 850 of 1,500 euros still 8,500 euros less for a car, which had almost half of the mileage. The prices for the V70 did not have to t recovered, the prices for the XC90 remained stable. Now I would still get just under 15k with 105,000 km of mileage for my V70 summum, but would still have to lay minimum 24k for a reasonably usable XC90. My search agent on mobile.de unfortunately says the same… can you confirm that? And if so, why is that so? Greetings elchleder

  • Start/stop automatic V60

    in the manual it is explained that with the start/stop automatic also the DrivE functions are activated at the same time – it is done so, so whether start/stop includes DrivE. However, I do not want to have these funny fuel saving devices turned on (more tougher gas assumptions etc.) – now my question: all models have with manual transmission Start/stop automatic – but only one model is called DrivE. So the D5 has this DrivE stuff though in the model name not so or does he only have the Start/Stop automatic? 2. if he only has the Start/Stop automatic: do I still have a button at the place where the DrivE button is otherwise to deactivate the Start/Stop automatic? and which message appears then in the display (in the instruction is always only the “DriveE Logo” 3. if the D5 has the DrivE stuff – can it be deactivated (if necessary by the dealer) so that the Start/Stop automatic works but the other stuff peeled off is it?

  • XC60 181 or 190 hp?

    Hello, I’m thinking of buying an XC60. Now I’ve closed two in the short choice. Once with 181 hp and once with 190 hp. Is there a clear recommendation? The driving performance is almost identical. To the vehicles, both have 60,000 km on the clock. The 181 hp version 1500€ is cheaper and only three months older. For that, it is better equipped with 190 hp. What do you think? Is the jacket like pants or is a motor better or more stable than the other?

    Hello your Volvo pros, the car is now 4 months in my possession, and still many questions have piled up. 1) 5W30 or 0W40? A5/B5? C3? 2) Of all the gears the 2nd is the hardest.   • Brake disc thickness measured

    MoinMoin and Hello, I would like to be the new one at the Volvo XC60 Forum and intend to buy tomorrow afternoon an XC60 model 156 D5 (220hp) with only 45,000 km on the speedometer, EZ 2016, for at least 33.800.- €. On the stage the brake disc thickness was measured at the front with 27.5 mm, at the rear with 21.2 mm. My question, how strong are new brake discs and what strength is considered as a wear limit for changing? As the price seems a bit happy, I would like to judge how short-term (of course This is due to my driving style and other factors) the replacement of brake discs and possibly brake blocks, oh yes, residual thickness of the blocks 6mm, to come to me.   • Window lifter cable pull switch C70 convertible

    Hello together, at my C70 Convertible BJ 2003 the days of the rope hoist for the window lifter passenger side have said goodbye, of course just before a thunderstorm broke off. A new window lifter costs with the friendly 650€ without installation! A rope hoist repair set at eb** only 50€. Has someone had experience with it or is there perhaps even something like a guide / assistance for something like this?   • How long does your SH take to heat the car/consumption??

    Moin dear moose community, right away – the SuFu showed nothing really meaningful! The following event, the stand-heating ran with my young used some days really well (always morning and evening before the ride) until early a smoke cloud and a cold engine witnessed the failure. The SH was then completely replaced. Now I am not really happy with it anymore, right the next day after the repair she jumped at -8 degrees (Display cluster instrument) n I already wanted to scream guarantee, but after starting the engine the heater also started to run and after turning off again again also… Now it runs again regularly, but I find it somehow has no power. The SH runs its time until the automatic shut-off through nevertheless warm is the car mE not really! Today tomorrow (-3 degrees) it ran through almost exactly 30 minutes, it is warm in the car – compared to outside … But according to coolant temperature I have the impression that it was much better/faster/heater before the repair! Can you please tell me how long your SH runs on average and how warm the cars are then? Then I would still be interested in how much one hour of SH consumes of diesel. I only filled yesterday and came to 11,7 (BC 11,1) with the thick one. That’s 70-80 km and each Because 35-45min early in the morning and evening what the SH is running. If I beat that I can’t even get a liter a day, so the BC says it is true! Can that come?

  • Activation driving beam / light horn

    Hello, just had another case that required me to draw attention to me with a light horn. (A parking car immediately leads from a parking bay to the left lane of the car) And once again I activated the main light when the light horn was activated. I find the solution with the main light activation at Volvo extremely wrinkle.   • XC70 215hp from 2.4L displacement

    Good evening, Why buy the 163 hp variant if you can get 215 hp? Is the 215 hp engine even recommended or is it overloaded with the BiTurbo? Is there some kind of purchase advice for the XC70 based on user experience? Have a look at the WE possibly a 2012 engine with 215 hp. What to pay attention to? I am grateful for every meaningful contribution.
