  • C30 1.6D DRIVe recommended?

    Hello, I’m currently interested in a used C30 with the 1.6 diesel with 109 hp from 2010 (Facelift). I think the car is quite attractive and represents an alternative to a used one from the VAG shelf for me. My question is what it looks like about the reliability of the model, especially with the 1.6 diesel. Is there any experience there? Is it really so economical? I called a friend who works at Volvo. He rather advises me about the diesel (turbo damage, expensive spare parts). But he also admits that nowadays all turbodies would be vulnerable…. He also thinks it would be a Peugeot engine. I thought that would be a Ford engine…. Since I intend to buy a warranty extension anyway, it wouldn’t be that bad. I can also buy them as a second owner, right?   • Air conditioning spins on my Volvo C70 Cabrio Jg 2001

    Hello I have a little problem with my air conditioning on my Volvo C70 2.0T Jg 2001. Start the engine, the climate turns on normally, after about 10-15 minutes the climate turns off and brings only warm air. After a few minutes it turns on again and cools down for 5-10 minutes and then it turns off again. This then goes on all the time. Since we in Switzerland do not always have over 30° I could do without the air conditioning but today I was on the road in continuous rain and there constantly all the windows run on and this is then very tedious. Who knows this problem? The friendly means it could be the climate compressor. Before I have a new installation for Fr. 900.- I ask in the forum if the problem is known. Is it really the compressor or can it be something else? My convertible has a climate automation. Thank you for the answers.

However, I had the last time the subjective feeling that the passage is already quite sluggish. In the petrol operation the elk runs for a long time not quite smooth. However, I did not attach so much value to it, because I only need gasoline to start. Also with the idleness behavior the elk has its problems in the petrol operation. Driving and then decoupling means that it already needs a little bit, until the correct idle speed number has fed in. Since the jump of the MKL it also does not turn cleanly high in the petrol operation. Yesterday I turned out. Error code on A2: 2-3-1 I am quite happy to accept the problem.

Then the difference 140 to 144hp. The 140 is probably a castrated 170hp engine and the 144 is rather the more robust older engine. Corrects me if I’m wrong….come out of the Opel shelf 🙂 Automatic is obliged-will no longer have a switchcar. Which one the car is more recommended to me?

  • Hand brake linings are loosened
