  • Which shock absorbers for the front axle at S80 2 2,5T

Hello, the shock absorbers on the front axle of my S80 2 2.5T are over. How can I find out which shock absorbers are currently installed with which code? I tried to read out the “vehicle information” with Vida, where it is supposed to be, which code the built-in shock absorbers have. But that’s not possible. There is an error message that Vida wants to access something – maybe a server on Volvo? – which does not work. How can I get the information about the code ode r which shock absorbers can I install if I don’t know the code? Thank you for answers! Friendly greetings Put

  • Reliability and service costs of the C70 I

Hello together! With my current car the leasing contract is running soon and I don’t know spontaneously what I should take as my successor. An old love came into my mind again, namely the C70 Coupé. In the used car exchanges they are offered with 3k – 6k, where I have not seen one in particular yet. I already realize that the reliability always depends on the respective car and its previous history, but how is the reputation of this series so generally? Annd weaknesses or solid technology? I would also be interested in the service costs (known as expensive or normal?) as well as the spare parts situation. From the area of application this would be my car for the daily work path, about 40km to +retour city+motorway. As a family car we have a new Ford C-Max, so the Volvo would be the second car. Thanks in advance for all comments and suggestions

  • T5

For three months now I have my 850s. Unique car. Eternally family-owned. According to the latest version 375000 KM. I am so satisfied with the fact that I want to give it away to someone special. My brother always wanted this 850 before, he currently drives a Nissan Terrano II and is not very happy with it. He has soon > birthday. Well, enough background story. Personally I love the 20 V aaber… He has honestly told me too little g. If I leave the 850 then I would like to buy either a 850 T5, a V70 I AWD or a V70 I T5. I have the following models in mind: http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=251826229&asrc=fa http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=252625673&asrc=st http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=252966505&asrc=st http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=2519755983&asrc=st Yes, uh… What do you say to them?

  • I did it…

… and now bought me a C70 convertible. Will be allowed on Tuesday and the rain can come 😉 It is the SC 900 installed with a 3x CD changer. I have now pushed in three original CDs but the radio does not read them. The apparatus rattles and rattles but does not play a cd. Besides, nothing happens when I press the “sound/mode” button. Can you fix it or only a new radio remains as a replacement? In addition, the belt is too short for my wife. Because she is right The seat has short legs, the seat has to go to the front and so the belt no longer fits. It can put it on, but has no more freedom of movement. I have already read about the problem in this forum. The vehicle got an oil change before 8Tkm. What do I have to refill if necessary? 5s, 10s, mineral, synthetic? What is there to consider with regard to the turbo? So with warm and cold driving. The car is moved, if already BAB, normally with 120-140 km/h. Greeting Martin

  • Volvo XC90 never ending story

Hello dear Volvo community. My third Volvo is now an XC90 D5 BJ2006 136TKM The vehicle was top a few months ago and without any defects. After the determination of a somewhat spongy driving method, the crossbar jacks were detected when the wheels were changed in the spring. Didn’t bother me in itself. But if it’s defective, you switch too. Had I rather let it. After the exchange of the crossbars and measuring the axle by a Volvo workshop I have a The car was picked up in the evening. It was all right. 2 days later, when we parked out of the garage with wheels hit over the edge of the board, a “klong” from the VA on the left and the steering wheel was a bit crooked again. Immediately the factory noticed the wrong steering wheel and immediately complained. So back to the workshop and let it be straightened. A few days later, the 150TKM inspection was on. Cross handlebars were, of course, found impeccable. The suspicion was expressed that the drive shaft and/or cathedral bearings could be. Drive shaft was allegedly glued to it. No improvement. So I was advised to exchange cathedral bearings on the left, including coupling rod. Said-do. When driving out of the workshop garage backwards over the edge “klong” – everything back to the old. Volvo-Mechaniker achselzuckend “woh Tomorrow we try SEM screws. So much for the history. Now my real question comes. This “Klong” comes to 90% when driving slowly backwards over unevennesses with beaten-in wheels. From time to time even when braking abruptly until the stop e.g. before the traffic light. After that there is rest during the whole journey. Also during the load change. Until the vehicle is switched off for min. 20-30 min. The curious thing is that since the change of the transverse handlebars and the appearance of the “klonk” noises the steering wheel repeatedly turns wrong in other directions. So sometimes to the left, sometimes to the right. Hard to reproduce itself. But imagine that this fits after a “klong”. Cross handlebars were meanwhile found OK by 2 independent workshops. Did anyone ever have this from you? Greeting Alex

  • Oil on a hose near the cooler!!?? V70 2.4 Turbo !! Help !!

Hello, in the engine meiens 2001er V70 2.4 Turbo there is a hard plastic hose. It goes from the cooler (below the headlight on the driver side) to the middle of the engine block and then runs (I suppose) under the engine. A hose from the same hard plastic material also runs directly across the engine block. At first mentioned I found an oil film directly where it is flanged to the cooler (beside / below) from the driver’s headlight. What is this for an S Chill or pipe? Does the oil film belong there? Looks like engine oil!?!?!? Thank you !!

  • Dry and/or replace insulation mat footroom

Hello, I had until yesterday a leaky heating heat exchanger. The part has changed and as it looks dense. At the exchange it turned out, that was not the exchangeer itself leaking, but only the two sealing rings. So the repair could have been done a little cheaper. Well, it’s just that. Now of course everything has to be dried up. The carpet on the driver’s side is already 2 days in the sun and dries away. Unfortunately, the expansion is The insulation mat is a bit more complex. Is not the big problem, but the drying time is very long. I also found a topic here on motor talk. There is talk of several days drying time. But I can’t do without the car for that long. That’s why I wanted to buy a new insulation mat. But I can’t find a dealer for this. Is there really no longer a component or can’t find it? The same applies to the carpet. Floor mats can be purchased. The carpet is not; neither at Skandix nor at polar-parts. If the insulating mat is no longer available as spare parts, what do you use as a replacement? Does anyone have an idea? Do the insulating mats from a 850s fit? With friendly greeting
