Hello Volvogemeinde… last year I had my V70 D5 MJ 2006 unlocked the heater and could use it cheerfully in the last days. At the beginning I always used the timer function. But because we drive a lot of short distance I took away from it due to the running times (40 min) and activated the heater manually (20 min before the start of the drive). The car was then always sufficiently heated. switch (after approx. 3 sec) with a 10 second long pin. GrrrkdaGrrrkdaGrrrkdaGrrrk…. During start-up and during operation, the heater is well audible, but even. sounds a little like the fans (outside) from the Combi market in our area 😉 Can anyone explain what the pin is about and whether I can/must live with it or possibly cause bigger damage? MKL Rule Probe Strange
Moin, we have run a V70 Bj 99, 165hp petrol, 217,000, automatic. In the car the MKL burns/burns. Also I noticed that it runs particularly in low-tour driving (curves) restlessly and wants to take bad gas. We read error with VIDA : ECM 2100, ECM 2120, ECM 250A. Air hoses controlled, seem fine. Air filter renewed, DK cleaned, intake tract was however clean. LMM optically also good. Then have replaced the control probe, via Volvo bes Now the faults are gone, but there is a strong, white smoke/Qualm development. Out of the back, and also in the engine compartment in the KAT area. There we look again more closely where it comes from. I actually exclude water, because the car was not moved further, and this smoke development occurred immediately after the new probe. There is also no water in the oil recognizable, and no oil in the cooling water. Also the exhaust gases rather smell “wax-like” chemically. He’s gone, in VIDA you can see how the probe works. Does he press in too much fuel? Why? Clean nozzles? Leakiness BEFORE the control probe gets a false oxygen value? He’s running quietly now, as he’s not yet registered. Appearing to be on all five paws… Thanks already…

Radio locking works only badly
Hello It’s a V70 year 99 2.5T the problem lies in that my remote control only from about 0.5-1 meter funtioniert beyond nothing goes. I have now 4 remote controls because after 8x batteries was changed I spoke to the friendly and with the one, he possibly meant it is on the remote control possibly at the receiver or otherwise where with the antennas. The technician of these could look however for 100€ per hour. Now I have new for the option e Remote controls decided unfortunately without success The most dubious thing about this is if I give in a new battery works 1 day also times of 3 meters Does someone have a solution ? V70 D4 Geartronic Exceeded Service Intervals
Hello, I think about buying the V70 III D4 year 2016. Unfortunately, service intervals are not met. 1. 32 Tkm 2. 75 Tkm at ATU Now it has 95 Tkm so the 90-ger is already overdue. Factory warranty does not have it. I didn’t notice anything during the test drive, ok was my first drive with the V70 🙂 Is it worrying? Thanks in advance

Engine sometimes runs “unround”, has bad, tough gas adoption
Moin, my popometer has been showing an occasional “jump” for some time now it seems to get worse! In the past a short gas surge was enough, now it seems to be a little bit more unwilling. Simply speeding up is only viscous when the phenomenon appears. Detach, short full throttle and everything is clear again… In the AI (Tacho) no errors are shown, in the engine control unit (Fenix) nothing is also stored! Does anyone have a tip where to start troubleshooting? and Lambdasonde (Original) have not yet run 50 km! Before about 1500km I have renewed the spark plugs (Original Volvo), a new ignition coil (Aftermarket) built in. In addition a optically very good but used original Volvo-Zündkabelset (blue), as well as a good distribution cap plus fingers. Oil quantity rises, diesel pushes in
Dear My C70 D5 Bj 07 “produces” increasingly engine oil, now 1 litre within about 7-8 weeks… Apparently this is a well-known problem with the D5. But where is the place, where do I have to look? Driver profile: work path 27 km, fast over road, short distances we rarely drive, on the WE we drive almost always over 1 hour in the mountains. The injectors were replaced times, according to information from there the engine would have to run uncleanly if they ran. Gspump and engine apparently still works, said the friendly one. Is there a main suspect in this well-known problem of oil reproduction in the D5 engine? Thank you already.

Soot when starting, clacking under load
Dear forum, I am a newcomer here and have no idea of cars. – I drive a V70, year 12/2004 with currently approx. 170 tkm mileage. – A fantastic car, as I find it. Unfortunately, in recent times I noticed that the good at driving under full speed in the middle speed range on the one hand is rusting relatively strongly, on the other hand (is now the right season) from the engine area gives a slightly clacking noise of itself. Inspection (not with Volvo) is only v or 3 tkm, after that I drove him on the track a little (about 300) km full speed with otherwise rather moderate driving. – Since then I noticed his changed behavior, which worries me, because I want to drive the good one a little bit. Turbo blows very loudly….
halöle… about 3 weeks ago I noticed that my turbo (car: s60 mj 05 d5 163ps 160 000km) quite loudly abbläst (kissed) once you notice that twice as much and you always pay attention to it… I actually didn’t notice any difference in performance and it is also normal that the turbo a bit whistles and hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssings but as strong as this is now I can’t imagine that everything is normal… 3 days ago also came the error message “motor maintenance” but this one was gone after the engine started again and didn’t come anymore… now my questions: -is the turbo easily accessible so that you can look for torn down hoses?(I came in front of the turbo behind the engine block and so very unfavorable) but I didn’t explicitly look after it yet… -how would your remote diagnosis be? wish all still nice day/evening and thank me already

permanently defective cross joint
Hello! Can anyone report about problems with the XC70 II D5 with 186 hp and automatic (until 2007) with the front drivetrain (differential transmissions/joint shafts/cross joint), repeatedly reappearing strong metal flapper noises from the drivetrain at the front left. I have now (at km stand 178.000) for the 2nd time a defective cross joint (after only 40,000 further km with the first new part), have slowly had the nose of VOLVO, own a real “mountain car”!, was in the last 2 years approx. 20 times in the workshop and have (in addition to the prescribed inspections, all performed!) had about 2000 € of repairs in addition to this vehicle, my predecessor (V70 D5 , 5 gear gear gears) ran over 230,000 km impeccable, seem to have real quality problems, never buy a VOLVO again…:-( CYGNUSX1

BC message “Safely stop, restart engine”
I turned the ring for the information of the on-board computer. Shortly afterwards the message “Sure stop, engine restart” came on the BC. Since I was at home anyway, I parked the car overnight in the parking lot. When I started the car this morning, the following symptoms occurred: cruise “Cruise” does not turn off and when repeatedly pressing the horn goes with it. When I press the rotary switch always remains the same angle. The flashers don’t work when I do the lever. The driving light does not turn off. That was the first thing I noticed.
