Today too, today again one of the stupidest situations you can have… Mummy calls: “Can you come to me to work and help me get started? I let the light on…” Innerly joy that something like that doesn’t happen in the Volvo and promises to happen. With keys to Volvo, pressed on Unlock. Pressed again. Unnerved with keys unlocked (as I later noticed only the driver’s door…). Locks in ignition lock, clutch kick, keys around and… silent. Dead nstille. I drove the last time on Wednesday and also retrofitted the Yatour, then the moose stood there until this morning. Doors were closed, so interior light didn’t pull out. Otherwise he always managed to survive more than 2 days without movement, so I push the black Peter to the Yatour interface. How did I install it? Quite simply, fuse out, radio out, permanent plus with current thief on A12, CD changer plug on it, radio back in again, fuse re in, radio code typed in, worked. Strangely at least: if one turned off the ignition in Yatour mode, the radio remained still so 5-10sec. and continued to doddle until it turned off after all. Any idea what I can do about it or what I could have done wrong? Oh yes, what I did with my SC-805: soldered the AUX-In. But this has been working smoothly for a few months now, so I actually exclude it as a cause.

Rims for C70 searched
Hello together, As you may have noticed, I bought a C70 II T5 summ about a year ago. The car is really good in shot and extremely well maintained. It has already 8 years, but not yet 100’000km on the hump. During the fall the front right shock absorber has given up (was still ok when buying, then has suddenly started to make quite bad bitches during a ride in the summer, much less traction, rumbling, etc.) so that now the soss dampers sam The car is still really good to the way and basically also very well maintained. Only with the rims the previous owner has not handled absolutely carefully. They look like Ar… Besides, I don’t find them so beautiful from the design. In the summer Sadira with 235/45 R17 tires on it and in the winter Castula with 215/55 R16. The summer rims are simply scratched (on the edge of the curb). The winter rims broke out really bad dents inside and sometimes small pieces. My dealer and the type from the MFK (in Germany this would be the TÜV) meant, safety technical no problem, but it is ugly after all. Since the winter eggs are only suitable for this season and are currently mounted, I had thought to dispose of them directly after the next change in spring. I then wanted to take the current summer rims with new tires for the winter. I think the car looks really chic (I have exactly this painting like the car on this picture). But now I have seen that the 17 summer tires are really new (Pirelli with DOT 1114 and 8mm profile). The tyre set alone has a value of almost 1000.- Fr. Somehow I find it a pity to dispose of a new tyre set. What would you do? Is there any new full-size wheels for me? höne Alternatives from third party manufacturers that would fit the existing summer tires? I know, it’s still a few days until spring, but somehow the topic doesn’t really let me go right now… Gruss Christoph

Drallgate, injectors, ECU…
Hey Ihrs Meinem C70 D5 Bj 07 isn’t well… There’s already a mistake on the bus 1. No heating and no climate on the driver’s side. The other day I brought him to my screwdriver because of the already for a few weeks broken throttle. He called me the next day, three injectors went out, two are stuck.. he had to take him to a diesel specialist. Maybe besides the flap also the one or other injector would have to be changed. Couple days later call again, can the other two were tested and are still ok. The new ones were programmed and he is driving well, better than before. Everything would have been lost at the throttle valve, by the way. I was very happy and picked him up. On the second drive he suddenly ran restless. Error message in orange: ESP needs maintenance. Shortly afterwards in orange: transmission needs maintenance. Something later in red: engine maintenance DRINGEND. I let myself from the towing service from the Autob One of the two didn’t swap. Okay… then hold out the same old ones, replace them. Everything ok. Pick up. On the first ride after 5 km the same game… same error messages ESP, transmission, motor DRINGEND. I had to pick up from the screwdriver, he said, probably a mistake in the electronics… check out and get in information etc etc… wire harness? ECU?. Great… I calculated sc hon with having to export the moose for pocket money after I had already put so much money in and constantly new problems appear. Somehow enough, better an end with horror. The other day I was with the IT lunch with which I had built the Bluepower device. He meant that can almost not be… that gets broken where has been repaired.. there is probably only one plug not really in or cable broken or something stupid, problem of few cents un un un d Damage of a few thousand… Don’t you want to look for yourself? He is quite well equipped and a tinkerer.. now we look in there ourselves. And because of the error on the BUS 1 we also look. First we see if we can find a workshop manual of the C70 D5. Can someone help us there? What are your thoughts about the history? Did someone have similar problems?

Incandescent lamp Stand light defective
Hello guys, I have an S60 MY04 and it seems there’s a wobble contact somewhere. The BC writes to me that a standlight is defective, but both light up. . Standlight are the two right next to the dipped light in the main headlight, or (the small lamp) both lights and are apparently ok. (light switch POS1) What can I do now, except to drive into the workshop? does someone have a tip? lg, PinocchioS60

Single-sided inside worn tires – need repair???
Hello to all Elk experts, recently I found out that with my Volvo V50 1.6 D (2010; 194000 km; 9101/AJA) the right front tire on the inside had gone so far that no profile was visible at all. The left tire showed no abnormalities and also has enough profile. The rear two tires had a sawtooth phenomenon on the inside – both sides. But also here enough profile. The tires were Fulda MultiControl 195/65 R15 91H. S he are all four about 1.5 years old and have a mileage of approx. 35000 km. On closer inspection also sees (straight steering position – steering wheel) that the front right tyre seems to have tilted slightly inwards (compared to the right front tyre). So this seems to be a fall error. But now I have read that you can’t adjust the fall at the front of the V50. I have now made the two front tyres new. My question: What should I do in this case? But if you can’t adjust the fall, an axle measurement is actually useless. That confirms a false fall, but I can’t do anything about it. The tyre fitter also looked at this and did not find out that there was a fault on the axle. So, for example, any joints were knocked out. Do you have any suggestions here? Manfred

Volvo 850 T5R electrical failure?
Moin, I have a few questions, I have been able to buy a T5R quite cheaply, but logically not 100% running. The beautiful has a problem, the motor starts only rarely. Sometimes only once a day, sometimes not. I have already researched and worked a little bit, bridged the WFS, with which he then also ran so far that I could drive him into the workshop. Furthermore, I noticed that he only sometimes sparks and when then he usually starts. That’s why I think it’s a mistake somewhere in electrical engineering. The previous owners had a gas system from landi renzo (I think:P) installed and the workshop that did this also broke the relay box into 3 pieces, so that the relays met me 0_0( still in their plug in) I have ordered a new relay box that I then want to install, someone still has any ideas that I can best look at in the cable salad or what other reasons could there be? I have already thought about the camshaft sensor? Thanks for all the tips and for the help!

Timing belt interval V70 I and II (B5244S2 and D5244T4
Hi, why are the timing belt intervals so different? I am talking about two Volvos and their timing belt intervals in the family. I would be very interested in the technical background. – V70 I with 140 hp B5244S2 with electronic throttle flap from year 2001 and – V70 II with 185 hp D5 Diesel engine: D5244T4 with 2.4 L (2007). The V70 I differs in mileage and annual distances with the recommended timing belt change very much to the V70 II D5 with the D5244T4 from 2007 V70 I m it the B5244S2 engine: Timing belts and auxiliary aggregate belts Exchange every 120,000 km?? V70 II with the D5244T4 engine: Timing belts and auxiliary aggregate belts incl. water pump every 150 to 180,000 km or 10 years? The questions arise, because in particular my D5 Diesel has 267,000 km on it, Timing belts since 2017 came new at a mileage of 160,700 km. Wanted to change now (already) at the D5, several workshops, also that says to my trust, I could easily go further with it Thank you! 🙂

Volvo and 3D printing
Moin an alle From time to time the topic of 3D printing comes to light under the most different headings. To give the topic a home I would like to open this thread to connect our cars with the 3D printing. Here we can collect everything about this topic. Since I have been working on this topic for about 2 years and have become a real fan I have been given a Photon Resinprinter. Good results for small money. with my knowledge still at the very beginning, but have already printed the first volvo-specific parts. Detailing is very good, fitness has yet to prove itself. I downloaded the files from Thingiverse. Free of charge. Would really interest me what you are doing with your printers.

Connect CAT
Hi, I installed a new KAT. Now I have the problem of connecting the new KAT to the exhaust system, because the end of the connection is somewhat dependent on the original KAT. I connected it with the old assembly clamp, which is probably not quite consistent. Unfortunately, a suitable assembly kit was not included with the new KAT. Does anyone have an idea how to get the part securely attached to the exhaust? Otherwise the (priced) part fits wonderfully. 55/125 mm tube connector I already got. Greetings, Jürgen 855 1995 144PS
