  • XC70 D5 temporary loss of power

Good morning, in advance: I have read here since yesterday about 25 contributions on the topic “no gas acceptance”, but mostly it was about the XC60, and with many conjectures to the cause, but in none of the contributions I found, how the problem was finally solved. Our XC70 yesterday after a motorway construction site (Tempomat was active) did not want to accelerate any more. The speed went up, however, the speed was hardly increased. On the same track we arrived just like this. 130, on the lightest climbs the speed dropped. Tempomat off, manually switch off, distance control – all in vain. After we had parked the car in the next parking lot for about 5 minutes and finished, it ran again as if everything was fine. The error did not occur any more on the next 130 kilometers, even this morning everything was ok. We only had the car for two weeks, it is a D5 AWD (185 hp), Mj 2009, 177 T Km. Has someone here in the forum this Error picture also experienced and can successfully fix? Or a link to a corresponding post with solution? Thank you in advance, Michael

  • “Don’t play with the scumbags!”…

… is an old folk song (if it is already one). This statement also shaped generations, but as it is with children in the pre- and puberty age, hardly anyone keeps to it. And the fault is always at least one parent. That this is still true today as for example 50 years ago, my moose demonstrated to me this morning: I once again paid too much attention to other people’s possessions and good and was this morning accordingly inattentive. My moose means smooth, because such a young jumper bends around the corner on a motorcycle, that he could quickly push a smudge on a special body part of the lure in front of him. And before I could hold him back, it had already happened. The opposite, whose cousin has become known for his reputation to get laid by moose once, was a little surprised. However, no lasting impressions were to be seen with her. However, with my moose has light plaque It’s normal, if you go wild around the area. However, the cosmetics department has already created a remedy and the license plate holder has changed. Further damage to the soul and body is not to be found. However, we will learn how the four-footed smartie works later. What damage can have been caused if my moose (almost) didn’t get anything? Can you assess that?

  • Does anyone know what a new S80 or S60 cost in 1998 (in DM ?) and today in Euro ?

Is it true that the S80 in 1998 cost about 50,000,– DM ? Does anyone know the price or also the one of the 98 S60 in DM ? Used S80 in good condition with 150,000 KM is today starting from 5,000,- Euro, that would be about 10,000,- DM, i.e. 20% of the then new price, if 50,000,- DM is correct. Today a well equipped S80 costs from 40,000,- b. 50,000,- Euro upwards, that would be a price doubling in 10 years. rapper whose neighbor has bought a used S80. Here another supplement: hab e discovers an old article, where it is about the 1998 V70 XC, i.e. the predecessor of the XC70. there stands among other things: The newest Swede, the V70 AWD Cross Country presented at the last IAA, sees itself as a combination for the terrain. With 49 800 DM, the 2.0-litre variant (93 kW/126 hp) with a solid standard equipment, which includes all safety elements, is the cheapest model of the combination series. If anyone is interested here the complete link from the Ärzteblatt 1998: http://www.aerzteblatt.d e/v4/archiv/article.asp?src=heft&id=9773

  • Folding glove compartment at the S60???

After the vibrations in the roof sky, the doors and the middle console are gone, only the glove compartment now claps. It is only in closed condition. I have already tried to fix everything with felt pieces better. The tighter the compartment however closes, the stronger the vibrations seem to me. If the compartment is open, the vibrations are virtually gone. Have somehow thought of that closed from the hand towel compartment in. To do so, however, one would have to expand the whole compartment. Would be grateful for every tip. 60 is really a nice car, the rattle in the interior is however a disaster. Greetings s

  • Wiring Speaker Volvo 940

Hello, I don’t drive a Volvo but help a colleague install a new radio. The old developed radio is not an original Volvo radio. During the expansion I noticed that the whole radio electric was bent and botched, so – here a lustre clamp, – there a power thief, – another extension cable, – another additional fuse, – additional crossover etc. There is under the cigarette lighter compartment a white multipole plug, on which apparently all necessary radio contacts (mass, +30, +15, light, antenna… ) incl. speakers connected to the factory. On this plug I could control the front speakers in the door. For the power supply (+30 +15 mass), antenna signal, light I have built my own wire harness of old wires (so a little longer, shrink hose on the soldering points etc. ). This also works great Now my questions about the speakers. 1. On the console there are also speakers to the right and left. Where ends the Cable of these loudspeakers? Does anyone happen to know the cable colours of these wires? 2. Where were the low-tone tweeters installed in the original factory? (in the door, in the amature board or in the radio shaft)? 3. Were the loudspeakers connected in the back door on the factory side or are there any features that the speakers lack in the back door? Background: I can’t find any cables in the radio shaft which are intended for the rear speakers. can anyone help me with my questions? Yours sincerely Hein_nieH

  • V70 as an AWD with real mist of gasoline? T5 was there as an AWD?

Hello I’m looking for my moose. As far as possible all-wheel but not the country or Cross Country, don’t know what the name is. I prefer the t5 with 250 hp, but I don’t know if it was the four-wheeler. I’d like to be open to other suggestions. Would you like to have the 5 cylinder Turbo?? • Hello together! Volvo 850 TDI makes extremely unpleasant sounds

Good evening together! Since I am registered here completely new, short to me: I am the Paul , 32 years old and look as a silent guest for a long time again in the forum to let me be inspired by your contributions! This has always worked great so far, but now I am a bit perplexed… I have a Volvo 850 2.5L TDI, 140 hp, built in 1996, automatic transmission. It has run about 312,000 km on the clock and again about 50 000 more. And ran so far wonder bar! But now he has scared me the last time: with one time he makes unpleasant sounds from the engine compartment (had the impression it comes from the left rather, but that is very difficult to make out). I thought it was now with the engine, transmission, clutch or anything else… These nasty sounds come only in the stand or “shut operation”, as far as it is called in an automatic. Under power call (so from 1100 , 1200 revolutions) the wash disappears. And it’s quite normal. Moreover, since then, it’s been running out at the traffic lights, and it’s starting worse… Oil pressure is normal. Cooling is also available. Does anyone have any idea which direction this could go? Had thought about the belt disc or the turning roller of the timing belts, but before I had to renew it all for good luck, I wanted to ask! Could there be something about the automatic coupling or something else… Would I be very happy about ideas! If you still need information- I gladly deliver! Many thanks and greetings!

  • Volvo V70 I 2.5 battery empty overnight, what can that be?

Moin moin, I got a V70 from 04.99 from a estate. 2.5 liters 144 hp automatic, ran 290000 km. The car stood for 3 months. The car makes a well-kept impression and was always maintained. The previous owner bought a new alternator, which is in the trunk. He also installed a double Din radio with Bluetooth etc. He did not jump on,thereafter a new battery was installed and he ran. I left it with the new battery for 2 days and the battery is completely empty. I have such a guess that it may be on the radio. The radio goes out if you turn off the car but that would be my first guess now. Do you have an idea otherwise what can pull even so extreme current when the car is standing ? The new battery is already gone, now I can buy another one again. Maybe you have an idea ? I would also like to read it out or watch it with a measuring device if you recognize somewhere where it is So much electricity.

  • Delphi 150

Good morning Elchgemeinde, actually this question should be under the category: Short question short answer Thread, but somehow went wrong. I have a question about the above mentioned device with suitable software. So far it is very clear with the particle and has already helped me a lot. But maybe one here in the group knows under which category I can read the mileage with the software? Find there nothing in the subgroups like: ignition petrol or others. e seen a screenshot of a user here, but don’t remember where exactly, otherwise I would have written it directly. Thanks for a short tip. Wishes all a pleasant weekend. Greetings Krony

  • On-board clock goes back and forth

Moin in the round, with our V70 II (MY2012) the clock in the station wagon always goes after by a few minutes. It looks as if the time is “smooth”, i.e. only one minute, then after a few weeks it will be two etc. Now to my guess: Can it be that when the engine starts the power supply breaks in for a short time and the clock then stops for 1-2sec.? And this accumulates then over several start processes per day just up?! To our on-board network: We have a new 12V AGM starter battery built 4 years ago. In the current situation, however, I suspect rather a waste of the auxiliary battery, which is actually supposed to stabilize the on-board grid during take-off operations. This has not been changed for 12 years. The small battery on the passenger side is meant with 12V, 10Ah and VRLA/AGM technology (Volvo part number 32238082). Now the question in the round: Am I right with my guess? Are there other reasons for “drifting away” the time? Is there any experience with this topic?
