Dear Volvo colleagues, I had my car (XC60 D5 automatic, 36,000 km, year 01/09) tuned earlier this week. Before 185 hp and 400 Nwm, now about 210 hp and 450 Nwm. You can notice the increase in power over the entire speed range very clearly and it has accelerated a force like the car in any speed range. The consumption has reduced with the same driving mode by one litre (previously after the tuning about 500 km). before tuning took about 37 seconds to reduce the speed without using the brakes from speed 100 to speed 30, after tuning the car needs about 45 seconds for the same exercise. I think this has something to do with the now significantly higher torque, or what do you think about it? In my opinion, the tuning has already been carried out proficiently (costs 600 Euro) and thus took about 2.5 hours. On the one hand I am I am very impressed by the increase in performance, on the other hand I miss a little more clearly the braking effect of the engine (is practically in stop and go traffic) … I want to drive with the car still about 50,000 km and hope that the engine and the drive can withstand the higher performance without damage. If you have had bad experiences please report, because this is not important to me. Improve windshield wipers?
Do you know that? The windscreen wiper goes to the left and cleans nicely. It goes to the right and smears something. A few streaks only, but still visible and disturbing. It always runs like this, at every temperature, at every bad weather, whether now is almost only water or like the last days, often only little moisture from cars driving ahead, mixed with road dirt. New leaves have not brought any improvement. (If I could only reprogram the windscreen wiper that it could Always left stops in the interval – I would always have clean windows.) Bixenon headlights blades
Hello to the community! I bought a S80II with Bixenon headlights. The surface of the headlights on the leaves was already on the purchase. At least not milky, but rather like a chirping foil! D4 181 hp diesel engine
Hello, and Merry Christmas! Quick question, after reading numerous posts and purchase advice here in the forum over Christmas: Can I buy the D4 4 cylinder with 181 hp from year of construction 2015 with around 150,000 km mileage in the V70 basically „calmly? 2017 there were discussions about AGR coolers, oil dilution, oil consumption etc. … I am looking for a reliable permanent runner, who also moves our caravan 1700 kg several times a year “at full throttle over the Alps”. There are some examples that have also run 200,000 km and more. Or maybe also the recommendation to take another engine. (I was only 5 cylinders. Bloss with the 5 cylinders you read more often about cooling water loss, head problems, etc. This does not have.) Thank you.

Timely sound loss of the audio system

However, I have no sound. I can’t see a pattern of times. I sometimes drive for days without problems, then again the error occurs every 5 minutes. Partially, the BT connection to the mobile phone is interrupted. If the interruption takes too long, I can repeat the sound by switching off and on the audio system. Frozen disk (receives again and again…)
Hello together I found a (at least for me) peculiar behavior with my V60 today. I drove from about 32°C and bright sunshine towards the west into a cold front with permanent rain. The outside temperature fell quite quickly to about 18-20°C. The air conditioning was constantly off, all windows and sunroof closed. I myself did not get out at any time, so did not wear moisture with the clothes in the car. After about 40 minutes drive through the permanent rain (sometimes weather-like) I then noticed a very light (really minimal) fitting of the windshield. I then turned on the front disc heating and soldering. After a few seconds the fitting was gone and the view was again great. But suddenly the disc started to fog from the lower corners in a U-shape (round around) – and indeed so strong that I have seen almost nothing. The disc heating / ventilation then has the problem again within seconds. Unfortunately, it went on until I was home. Hardly did I turn off the ventilation was the disk again. Is that normal with the V60? Didn’t know such behavior with my other cars. Could something leak or be blocked somewhere? I assume that everything is mechanically in order at the ventilation. I am grateful for your tips and experiences!

Windshields
Hello, I have now for almost 14 days my send V70 I Bj. 1998 everything tiptop in shot and runs like a one….. …..however: With me the windows affect as soon as I have turned on the heater. There is only a little bit of turning up already the windshield runs on. I can also not get this under control when I turn on the climate and put on disc ventilation (so top position at the ventilation) After some drive all the windows have started. This is prevented only when the climate is constantly on in disc ventilation mode. Is only asscold in winter. Air conditioning and heating function otherwise great. Someone’s idea? Otherwise I will have the ventilation cables checked! Thanks and fine laaanges weekend!

Innumerable “Micro-” stone blows on windshield
Hello together, with the windshield of my V70/III Summum (EZ 2015) I noticed recently that it is covered with countless tiny stone strokes (or similar). I have only been driving the vehicle for about 6 weeks. At the beginning I didn’t really notice the problem, or it just looked like a slightly dirty disk for me. However, a treatment with various cleaners as well as disc cleaning foam did not bring any improvement. With the magnifying glass you can I’ll try to take a picture of it. The whole thing is striking and a bit annoying when driving with backlight (deep sun). It’s the heatable front windshield Saint-Gobain Sekurit 43R-002687 with year ́15, so probably the first disc. Then I got a few other used V70s with Saint-Gobain disks closer to a nearby Volvo dealer. In the past, I didn’t notice anything like this in any other vehicle. Could you observe this phenomenon as well? What’s the reason – are the front windows of the manufacturer Saint-Gobain particularly sensitive? Can you minimize the damage in any way, so that the damage is less disturbing? I suspect that the Liability Insurance only pays for a “real” rockfall. What would a disc exchange (incl. assembly/justice of the sensors/cameras) cost about? Best regards!

850 20V Automat 170Ps 1995 :Tempomat and seat heating
Huhu Have a question. I’ve made my capital richer around a Volvo . What it is in the subject. I have 2 questions. While driving and pressing the cruise control… Don’t pass! No light in the display or keep the speed ! As soon as I have it with me I check all the fuses, do you have another idea what it might be about? The 2nd are the seat heaters. When I press the switch of the seat heaters, they light up though, but it will also after 15 not warm at the Mors ! New and a few questions
Hello all, I’m new to the VOLVO forum but not quite new to Motor Talk. I/we have bought a V 70 (from the km still virgin, at least for a Volvo) Ez is 07/1997, now has almost 165000 km on the clock. 2.4 turbo with 142 kw. Tüv new. After purchase I have carried out an inspection (oil, Lufi, Z-kerts, all liquids tested). Are there still any things I should do? Have read a lot here in the forum, and also sc The topic ABS/tracks-light is already normal with the vehicles. And I am not excluded from it.
