Hello, I would need your support in making a decision. The topic has already been touched in a thread, but I’m somehow not really further yet. So: my V70 has the factory phone installed, and from my old car I also have a Bluetooth-FSE (AudioBlue from FWD) “to lie around”. Advantages for the BT-FSE: – Comfort (enter and go) – Compatible also for my wife’s mobile phone and not first SIM-card-change – constantly up-to-date phonebookeintr ie advantages for the built-in telephone: – no screwing necessary – control on the steering wheel and display in the instrument cluster – use of factory micro and speaker in headrest – use of external antenna I asked my GSM provider – the TwinCard costs 3EUR per month extra and I must always prioritize one of them (if both devices are booked) by code input. Sounds annoying, therefore my questions: – if I enter and turn on the car phone and this it then prioritizes, can I “only” call with the car GSM, right? – if I get off and the car GSM switches off automatically (?) – do I still have to enter the Prio code on the mobile phone? – do the two SIM cards have different PINs? – Phone book synchronization between the SIMs – is this done by manual copying in the mobile phone or is there an “online” service with the operators? It would be great if you could tell your opinions and experiences. I admit that that is a luxury problem. 😉 Basically I find the BT-FSE better, but somehow it strives to operate the installation effort, if already a phone is built in. Thanks and greetings from the Rhineland Bernd :-))

Volvo V70I battery constantly empty
Hello together, for some time now I have the problem that with my V70I TDI (automatic) the battery is constantly empty, although I drive 70km daily. During the week it is mostly just like this, but at the weekend the power is constantly empty – then only foreign start or charge with charger helps. The battery is about 3 years old, the alternator is about 1 year – I exclude these two things from the troubleshooting. Mass pole terminal on the battery I have renewed. Connections at the The battery and the starter are cleaned. After replacing the pole clamp, I thought the problem was fixed, as well as after cleaning contacts. What else can it be that I am constantly running out of juice? I read something about a central locking problem in older Volvos, can this occur with the V70I as well? I am grateful for every tip. Greeting, Anton

Volvo V50 1.6d Reduced performance despite a lot of work and a lot of money
Hello dear municipality I have only recently driven a Volvo V50 1.6d. He drove really great. However, shortly after the purchase he had only reduced performance. Memory read out resulted: soot particle filter differential pressure sensor signal faulty AGR pressure sensor signal error AGR throughput too low AGR exhaust gas throughput too high The display says: stability program maintenance required (sporadic) Made so far: differential pressure sensor replaced without result Dieselpartike lfilter (cleaned) without result AGR cleaned without result AGR renewed without result AGR sealed Turbo renewed I had the seller’s information that Turbo and DPF were renewed. That’s why I only changed the differential pressure sensor. As this was without result, I had the pressure measured at the DPF. This was 92mbar. After cleaning it is now 19mbar. When controlling the turbo it turned out that the shaft had 5mm axial play. Then the was also changed. Now b I smoke the help of this community. There are now about 600€ in it and I don’t get it sold either. With the old owner also no litigation can be started, because I had not made a contract. I am very curious whether someone can and wants to help me. Thanks already in advance.

Volvo C30 D5 good for mileage > 200 tkm?
As I will drive approx. 100 km a day, I have taken into account a carefully-kept Volvo C30 D5. The engine is supposed to be, volvo-typically, robust, but what about the body, the electronics and all wear-dependent components? Count the offer of C30 with just that motorization at hand – and mostly only in combination with the 5-speed converter automatic. According to some Users are not so much the hit. Is this also true for durability, i.e. is the 6-speed manual transmission generally more durable? Look forward to your contributions!

Change driver’s seat
My S40 cracks like the devil with every load change (left/right movements) of the car. The Volvo workshop has lubricated everything possible and can also do nothing else, except install a new seat, which is very expensive. The WHIPS can no longer work with the silicone part because it has not triggered any more with a car afterwards. I am also not sure if it is only on the WHIPS, because it cracks everywhere – seat front left, front right, back etc. Plastic covers of the seat rails are also not in place and the rails themselves are firmly tightened. I found some used seats on the internet, partly with a few km. Can I, as a “Laie”, remove/change a seat myself? My S40 has no seat heating by the way…is the side airbag with this Volvo in the seat or in the door frame? Anything else I need to consider? Belt lock / belt stretcher? Thank you and best regards Peter

V50 2006 kicks in at idle
Good morning! For a few weeks, my faithful moose has been jerking pretty rough at the traffic lights, for example. Feels like massage seats. The speed remains stable. I tap the accelerator pedal minimally off. If I have driven half an hour or hour it will be much better. I can’t find anything in the forum that could fit quickly. If I have missed anything, sorry! Is a V50 of 2006 2.0D with now 283,000 km. Can that be the throttle flap? That the not m Keeps very clean and open? Or LMM? In the 8 years I have the moose now I have never noticed that, or do you become more sensitive in old age?

Fogging (grey veil) on disk
Moin together Have a rather disturbing problem with my V50… And my discs always get a gray veil, which is quite disturbing in the current season. Only right when other vehicles come to meet. That blinds then extremely and you hardly see anything… The veil can only be removed with glass cleaner. It is not foggy moisture!! The veil remains, even if the air conditioning is active times The veil comes so every 2-3 days And then I have to clean the window. When it rains, the veil forms much faster, so that I usually have to clean the window after driving in the rain. The worst is on the front window, the front side windows and the rear window. But everyone else also has a veil. However, it doesn’t bother. Last year around this time I had no problems with it… Question is, what can be done about it or what could cause it. I tried everything but I For me it’s so annoying, because then I hardly see anything in the dark and I’m also a bit pingy with the windshield. It always has to be strip-free and clean with me Maybe someone has some ideas

Range Rover Sport Supercharged
Today I have tested the range. On the other hand, the V8 of Volvo looks very old. Everything is better on this car. If I could get out of the leasing, I would exchange immediately. The most important details are that the transmission and steering are from ZF and not like Volvo from a second-class manufacturer. After my painful experience with the Volvo transmission in my XC90 I speak from experience. The range has a torque of 550 nM, mind you it is not a diesel. So, I’m going to inform about the further development. On Monday 20.05.05 a new gearbox will be installed in my XC90. Will it then be better? Greeting, kallirolo

Questions about iPod and Volvo Adapter
I don’t know about the stuff at all, but to have a slightly larger music selection ready, I play with the idea of adding an iPod and the Volvo iPod adapter. I would like to ask some questions to those who know about it. I’m not interested in downloading songs from iTunes. Can I just fill the iPod with MP3s from my hard drive? Can I create the files in different folders and select them from the Volvo Radio (HU-650)? ylisten create and are these recognized by the HU-650? Does the player remember where you were when you turned off the car? Are quality losses that go beyond the MP3 format in itself to be expected by the adapter? Can the iPod handle different MP3 sampling rates? Are there any other things to consider? Would be grateful for all the information. Marcel

Gear damage?
Hello Moose Driver Since I’ve been browsing this forum for some time to be informed about the risks of the used moose I thought to myself, just try it, much can’t be done wrong with this vehicle. I fulfilled my dream and did ‘n Elk V70 II T5 10/2003 all incl. with 50k on the speedometer. The first 2000 km was all great and I floated on cloud 7 with this vehicle. But now I need help. After about 50 km drive the good piece does not move The next day, when the fault memory was read out, the cruel diagnosis of the automatic gearbox was defective. 5500 € for a new one at Volvo. That was too much for me and I looked around for a transmission workshop. See there for 2000 € was a replacement gearbox to have. Now the horror layer really starts. 1. Gear changed (old case and old converter keep) After a thousand meters of sample This can only be the converter says the transmission workshop. 2. Get out and change the converter gear back in. After a thousand meters test drive exactly the same problem. Now it can only lie on the transmission housing, says the transmission workshop, which probably can not hold the pressure because of a hair crack. 3. Get out everything into a new housing tonight I will find out more. Has already one of you with the Geartronic such or similar I have had experiences and know what else could be so. Greetings Volker
