  • Volvo V50 or Audi A3

What do I have to do with a Volvo V50 2.0 D or Audi A3 (1,9 or 2,0 D) , I have already stumbled over here in the forum and now I don’t even know which one to choose at all, it always comes to which posts you read. Have both cars recently tried ( Volvo V50 2.0 D and Audi A3 Ambition 1,9 D both year 2005). To the V50: + much power + good driving behaviour + in the seats I probably felt + 6-speed + very economical (approx. 7 l/100km) + cheaper than an A3 (approx. 2-3 t โ‚ฌ) – inside very simple – small glove compartment to the A3: + interior processing super + good driving behaviour +/- had not so much power vie of the V50, although I was an A3,9 D but the A3 is smaller than I think it would be nice to be able to compare them very much?

  • Rear camera feasible?

A question to the technically more experienced!! When I was browsing the last Conrad catalogue I noticed the many small and small cameras, which are fed with 12V. Would there be no way to build such a kind of clever (window, bumper oรค) at the rear of the elk and to bring the image signal on a small TFT screen (which are already quite affordable)? I know that the RTI can not be used for this. For caravans and trucks there are ready sets with powerful cameras and tube screens(!) starting from 900 eurons upwards. Professionals please don’t laugh – I’m completely outside of the industry. lG Richard

  • XC 90 motorway

Hello, in currently Mercedes T-model driver and consider changing to the XC 90 D5. Can someone tell me how the XC 90 drives on the highway, mine now less the final speed, but track fidelity, or does it drive much more spongy than a normal car? And with the normal diesel, how are the inside noises on the highway? I am grateful for every information!

  • Too much oil XC90 B5 AWD from 22

Moin. My fat guy has now been on display for oil level service and there is too much oil in the middle of the screen. I’ve been getting the vehicle since May this year and with new service and since then I haven’t got the hood up either. I’ve been driving a lot of short distances since that time too. In two workshops I got the answer that has to be checked although the problem is known. One workshop doesn’t tell me how to drive if possible and the other says that I can’t drive any more because there’s no oil missing. That contradicts and then no error would be reported or? I read that you can suck some oil and then it would be good. Sometimes the display disappears and the next day it’s back. How are your experiences? Nice weekend from the north.

  • XC90 Short circuit in control unit / seat heating

Hello dear XC90 driver and Volvo friends, after 10 years BMW X5 3 years ago I decided for an XC90 2 D5. He is now about 3 1/4 driving old. By November 2020 everything was good and I was satisfied. During the inspections no complaints, little tire wear etc. but then suddenly, seat heating at the driver’s seat is no longer possible, operation on the steering wheel for the audio control is no longer possible and the buckle belt on the driver’s side is worn out at the buckle. At the inspection in December I then noted all this. Result: Necessity of a second appointment for analysis. Result of second appointment: – electric short circuit in the control unit or seat heater. Does therefore also the broken operation on the steering wheel come therefore? Statement dealer: It can be broken times something! ?? For fast 2000โ‚ฌ for a car with a new price of approx. 80.000โ‚ฌ, age of 3 years and approx. 46,000Km. … well of course! – culant request at Volvo. Volvo would take over 30% if the dealer takes over also 30%… but he does not make it all the trouble?

  • Nervous noises in the C70

Hello Our C70 now has two extraordinary workshop visits behind it. On the one hand, the Dynaudio system has brought our doors to vibrate – this has been solved with great confidence and now Premium Sound is even more fun. On the other hand, there are two more noises on the driver’s side: a trembling/vibration/springs/folding in the area of the dashboard, which is clearly audible in the case of floor waves. Then a quiet knocking in the area of the driver’s seat below; the knocking occurs almost always in the case of floor waves, load changes or simply almost always. Both noises definitely do not come from the roof construction… Does anyone know these sounds and there is a solution? Or did someone have similar problems and could they be solved? I am grateful for every advice, because we have already invested a lot of time in problem solving (of course at our own expense). Now the work is asked, since all the solutions specified by Volvo have no use.

  • Buy S40?

Hello first, I am currently looking for a new car. My favourite is (was) the new VW Jetta. However, after some research, I found out that the engines I want are a lot, but unfortunately not exactly stable and reliable. That’s why I’m afraid of it. So I’m looking for alternatives at the moment. I noticed the S40 with 145 hp (manual gearbox). The problem is only with Volvo I know a little about and no one in my environment drives a Volvo. That’s why I hope I could be helped here. I would just like to know how durable and reliable the engines and overall the technology is. Besides, how is the Spri consumption with the vehicle. Generally simply a report of experience with all positive and negative about this vehicle and general about Volvo. Thank you already in advance.

  • Missing functions (distance tempomat, AppleCarPlay, remote control)

Hello, I bought an XC90 Bj 2015 in the last week. After that I found out that the error message “Service required – Volvo on call” appears at every start and that the following 3 functions are not available: Operation of stand-up heating via Volvocars app Apple CarPlay distance tempomat The German road map of the Navi is not current. The seller did not want to/could help me. Is it possible that the vehicle simply lacks software updates?

  • children sit safer in the back! really?

All of you, just picked up my daughter from the school. because it only goes through the village, the child (7 years) sat down on my hot front. at the traffic light there is of course a guard master next to me. lightning-like all the arguments went through the head, which would lower the price for the “presiding seats”. the ampel became green, nothing happened. the guard master turned to the left. puh, that went well again, I nehem, that he has not seen my daughter at all. here the arguments / goes of course only at volvo front sitting children (of course with child seat) not worse than behind. I explain: front is the airbag, behind not. front help WHIPS and SIPS out of need and prevent bad. how the systems work, I do not need to explain and the course the course of the belt is better than at the front. hoast also sees the front when the hollow is sitting behind.
