Hi, I have now got the VLinker MC Dongle and the Car Scanner app. Question about the stored errors: I have read only errors from’m archive: Quotation: [P3/VEA] Engine control unit[P3/VEA] Engine control unit DTCs: 6 —————————— P00BD(00) [0x00BD00] Archive (inactive) Mass air flow (MAF) sensor A – circuit range/performance Status: Test failed since the last deletion of the error codes (DTC codes), test did not complete during this operation cycle Mi t Bosch ESItronic from the Volvo screwdriver saw this as an active error (see Appendix) How do you see it, can’t it be that the app is more precise than ESItronic?!

When do the seats wear out ect.?
Today I found an XC90 D5 Aut MJ2005 with 170000KM. According to information on the phone the Fzg checkbook is well maintained. On the pictures I noticed, the 1. the leather bag under the shift stick is strongly worn and 2. the middle armrest is extremely worn on the left side. This is a German Fzg. It was explained by the fact that the Fzg. was driven by a 140kg man. Since I have never owned a Volvo but have heard a lot about the good quality, I want to be smart – I’m going to do it.

Purchase advice, what do I have to pay attention to? Volvo V70 d5 2.4 185PS
Huhu in the round :-)! After 6 weeks of stress with various used car sellers and the switch back and forth between Audi, BMW and Volvo, I am now sure I want to buy the above mentioned Volvo. Was a heavy birth, but actually Volvo was my first choice from the beginning only my friend wanted to inspire me for an Audi A4 or a BMW. Anyway, I have now found a nice V70, full equipment and very well maintained. Built 12/2006. What do I have to pay attention to? Tomorrow f I’ve already done a test drive and I’m thrilled. Can you give me a few tips? Is this a good choice? What’s the use? Thank you for your help 🙂 Eva

Identification ABS ECUs… who can help?
Hello werte Elchgemeinde When looking for a replacement control unit ABS, the question arises which would fit me. I once photographed the cover of the worry child and would like to ask you how I can identify another suitable one using the numbers. My worry child comes from a 98 V70 / 144PS automatic. On the photo you see numbers for each number. Which is the important number and maybe there is a directory from which you can find out if the I would like to thank you for your help.

Motor temperature high – thermostat? temperature sensor?? Or???
Moin, Today when driving, the radiator fan went on, and no longer went off. I saw a lot of shock after a while that the water temperature indicator instead of at 15:00 was about 13:00. So very high above the red area. Stopped, engine off, bonnet. Nothing indicates a particularly hot engine. No water vapor, engine top and thermostat housing are hot, but you can touch it. Hose from the thermostat housing top to the cooler warm, b im cooler cold – cooler is cold. Presumably: thermostat (changed a few weeks ago) defective. So always let cool for a quarter of an hour, drive for a few minutes, let cool until I am back home. A 30 min distance covered in more than 2 hours 🙁 But: always when the ignition is switched on, the cooler fan starts immediately, the water temperature indicator goes to 15:00 clock and after a few seconds coughs again to 13:00. New favorite position. Even after the E I stand at home for 2 hours, immediately the radiator fan goes on after turning on the ignition and the pointer climbs after a memorial break at 3:00 pm to its 13:00. Thermostat removed, placed in a glass and boiling water on it. It opens. So not defective. New theory: It was outside about 4 degrees, nice cool for the engine. If the water temperature sensor shows too high a temperature, the cooler fan goes full, the engine is cooled down, thermostat shuts. Cooler is But the needle points to the moon. Question: is the culprit the coolant temperature sensor? Or what else? If what?? And: Does anyone know the values of the sensor? I assume it is an NTC and there must be somewhere a list of the temperature resistance pairs. And: Does anyone know how the needle normally behaves when it gets too hot? Does it rise slowly? And to where? And one more thing: I have read that the 15:00 display of the Tem peratur needle is good for about 60-110 degrees (covers with my VW T5: ’90 degrees’ position at 73-110 degrees). Is there a tell-tale (<- 3x 'l' is actually quite sick, makes it fun when writing) for too high water temperature, or does an engine overheated due to non-opening thermostats die an unnoticed death (if you don't happen to see the needle) ? Many questions, I know. Thanks in advance... I hang a picture from the temperature indicator.

Driving behaviour 205/55 R16 vs.195/60 R15
My “new” V70 urgently needs new tyres (at the moment it runs on old 185er winter tyres). From a friend I could get cheap 16″ rims – of course I find aluminium wheels more beautiful, on the other hand I hate to spend money for the car. The tires I imagine cost about 15€ more in the 16″ version. The steering limiter does not seem to cost much. The question of all the questions, however, that I ask (drive on all cars so far i is – Does the driving behaviour with the tires change? Does it possibly run more after track grooves? Here certainly have some experience with this tire.

Brake problems
Hello dear moose drivers, for a long time I did not let myself be seen here. That is only because my old moose (EZ March 95, well over 300,000 km) purred so far absolutely uncomplicated. now something spins on the brake. Rare, but sometimes. I drive e.g. at a roundabout, go slightly on the brake, and then it is almost as if the pedal is shaking back. I hear then also a slight rattling. Is somewhat disturbing – but only sel Otherwise the box will brake perfectly. Greetings from Bonn Alexander

Water in the footroom under the front seats at C70 I
Good day, dear Volvo connoisseurs, I bought a nice C70 T5, year 1998. A car that I always wanted. Now I have invested a lot without looking at the Euro, but one thing makes me crazy: Water is always standing in the footroom. Somewhere in the rain water comes into the car and that is not too scarce. The sunroof seems to be tight, at least when I drive the car nothing comes in, even when I drive in the rain, But when the car is standing, water seems to enter somewhere. The seats are dry, the amature board also, only in the footroom under the front seats to the rear seats. What can that be? I would be very grateful for tips. LG hjm

Farewell to the V70: Total damage
At the end of February, my wife and I had a violent accident on the A3 during hostage wind due to snow smoothing, were on the left track, which was suddenly not very clear, thereby getting into the slingshot, slinging across the middle lane, there came a truck, which then turned us and then impact into the middle guard plank. Thank God nothing happened, but the V70 is unfortunately a total damage But it proved to be again, how sure a Volvo is, the The front car has captured the entire impact energy, the passenger cell is completely undamaged, the airbags have not opened and all the gaping mass of the doors are unchanged. Great. I had brought the vehicle home at my own expense, could not accept that it should now be scrapped. But, it is and remains there, it is unfortunately no longer worth it (damage lies according to expert at approx. 1500€) and now the V70 heavy heart has to go away. So, if someone is interested in the vehicle… (V70 3.2 Summum EZ 6/2007, auxiliary heating, sliding roof, seat heating + seat ventilation, BLIS, 4C chassis, 161000km) But stay true to Volvo, after unfortunately no V70 petroler with the equipment I wanted to find, it has now become a 2015 S80 T5 summum. Be totally happy about the new car and I am glad to be able to check out the accident. Greetings from South Hesse Norbert

Special tool from VOLVO for rear axle bushings – can not at all..
Moin I wanted to renew my rear axle bushings this weekend and immediately ordered the original Volvo special tool with me… who thinks it can work quite relaxed? a fatal mistake! (a former colleague and master at Volvo also said that they have already reordered it at least 5 times, because it’s so shit…) the spindle of the tool bends every time the socket is pressed in and pressed out… so I managed to hang and choke one side with…also only m it big torque on the spindle nevertheless a tormented …. and double spindle to fix again… also no fun… so pimping tool! I modified the whole thing a little bit, and this really works like a bag… you can push the socket out with a normal gun and again! I don’t want to keep this from you!
