  • Volvo V70 2009 Automatic transmission Noise wuuuhhhhhhüüüüüüüü: Starting shaft Warehouse damage

Hello, first of all happy news. A few weeks ago I had asked here what my engine sounds could be. Unfortunately this did not lead to any result. Now my Volvo was examined by the Volvo workshop, and put on stage. It turns out that the “blowing”, or “summing” as the dealer called it, is a “starting shaft bearing damage”. So, the automatic transmission must be overhauled at some point. IT is a TF-80SC, 36050322 transmission. Nu n my question… of course the dealer did not want to give me a concrete answer. What can I also understand. But what do you mean. If it is a BEGINNING bearing damage, the howling, buzzing is not yet very loud… How is that then. Can the car stop at some point and the gearbox falls apart? And how long is it from the BEGINNING to the TOTAL bearing damage. Can I still drive a few more KM or even many more? I will have the gearbox overtaken, costs about 2800 €, but I would like to be able to find out how urgent this is here. I would be very happy about your opinions…. Until then, thank you very much,

  • Fuel consumption varies extremely Volvo c30 1.6d

Hello, I’ve been observing for a long time now that fuel consumption varies greatly with my Volvo c30 1.6d. Means I drive continuously 110km/h with cruise control at about 4.5l and suddenly without supposed reason it consumes 2-3l more diesel, for a few kilometers. Does anyone have an idea what this is about?

  • Volvo V70 1998 2.4L 121kW; Which ignition coils?

Hello, just ask me which ignition coils I should install? To the problem: My engine runs when it is cold very bad and starts badly, moreover it is extremely fat current consumption from 30-50 liters to 100km. My ignition coils are full of oil, so also the cylinder head. Is this perhaps the cylinder head seal? Well, I think that the ignition coils cause the engine problems. I already ordered new spark plugs, ignition coils original are Bosch, which are at knap p 35-40 Euro however too expensive. Does anyone have experience with the topic or tips which one can/should build? MfG Dome.

  • Idling, needing advice

Moin, unfortunately, the moose clacked quite violently this noon and I need your advice. For a few weeks he has had minimal side noises, which I had taken in the way already at many P80 and therefore did not worry about. Today at noon this was really extreme. Before that he always ran very clean and absolutely quiet, as I was confirmed today at noon. If one spontaneously steps on the gas or a load change (coupling) is present there is a metallic rattle or. I had always thought of the flex tube (resonance) because the outer tissue was damaged. This was also on the list in March, but was always tight. The recording was from today’s noon and the engine was in the border area between cold and operating temperature. That means: I had just lunch break, drove 15km of highway and then when starting after a three-quarter hour there was this noise. Before the question on oil level is regularly checked (currently weekly) and the last oil change is 2800km (at km level 283000). Oil consumption is minimal, i.e. 150ml to 1000 (if at all so much). Of course I have big worries and if it is necessary according to your opinion, I can leave the car if necessary. I am simply at the moment at a loss and insecure. Not that the moose has a bearing damage. B5244s2 almost 286,000km Edit: Video comes equal is only too big

  • Defect of the rear fog lamp

Moin moin, my 850er has some problems with his NSL and the TÜV is at the door. She registers rather sporadically to very rarely. Switch in the dashboard is i.o. fuse is i.o. lamp is i.o. 12V arrive at the version. I thought it might be because the relay does not allow enough power, but did not find any in the driver’s footroom on slot 7. Is probably only a relay for front… trailer coupling is therefore not the cause as for vi Ele here. Don’t really know what to do … Lg

  • Oil cooler for automatic transmissions sought

Hello, although there are various threads and opinions about the question “Griebeölkühler ja/ne”, I decided to install or install one of these. My XC90: 2,5T, EZ 12/2003, automatic transmission AW55-51 1. Question: Where is the original part (except the )? 2. What can the part cost? 3. Can someone get it cost-effectively (perhaps use co-rebate?)? (ebay didn’t have it) 4. Who already installed it? 5. Is there a installation instruction? (On this Volv o-page there is no instruction for this.) I: -I am technically gifted, -I have a workshop in the background, -I like to do it myself. I found that the AT has no control measuring rod for the oil stand. Hmmm …. Greeting Georg

  • New addition: V70 D5

After extensive and competent consultation from the forum (see here) I now have my silver Sweden Since the Volvo was far away, I can report about almost 700km of experience:An absolute cream cut. Despite 280,000km runs wonderfully smooth, no cracking, rumbling, murmuring, wheezing, coughing, swallowing – as good as new. From the outside are small (absolute cosmetic) scratches and the front has a few stone hits around the grill. From the inside is the L If you don’t know the speedometer, you wouldn’t even be able to guess the mileage. What’s next: New summer tires (right urgent) Any possibility to operate my iPod (waving between iMIV and Grom) Question about the automatic: Sometimes you feel like he’s only driving with a grinding clutch. The converter can’t be imho, the driver can’t be able to drive the device. The problem is less pronounced in “manual” operation, more in fully automatic operation. Does a transmission flush have a view of improvement? So far and until soon in the forum, Jonas PS: Current consumption is just 7,1l according to BC – but also quite a lot in fun mode. Had it already at 6,3l after 500km of motorway. PPS: Sorry for the mobile phone pictures

  • 2 clock oil for diesel 1:250 for lubricating injectors

Hello, I’ve read that many diesel drivers are adding 2-stroke oil 1:250 to the diesel when refueling. Let the injectors lubricate. The injector death also seems to be a big problem and not only with Volvo. Who has experience with it and can tell me something about this topic. Have an S60 D5 with 185 hp diesel and automatic transmission.

  • Door lock driver side Volvo 850 LS

Hello, Recently we had to find out that after about 2 days of standstill the battery was completely empty. At first we thought of a damaged battery and switched it off. Unfortunately this was not the reason. Now we measured times and see there, in the standstill and all doors to flow a current of about 2A. If one pulls the fuses 6 and 15 then the current drops to 0A. For us, therefore, the offender was to be found in the circuit central locking and/or interior lighting. Searching in this area led us to the door lock of the driver’s side. If you separate the wire harness of the left door, then the error current immediately drops to 0A. Next we removed the door lock. We wanted to see if you can find an electrical error here. And here we are stuck. The lock is equipped with a plastic hood. This would have to be dismantled in order to get to the electrics. That’s what we fail to do. How can you get this hood off? The second way would be to install a new (used) lock. If we do, do the old keys still fit? or can you adjust the new lock to the old keys? For every help we are grateful. With kind greeting
