  • TDI “ears” wanted

    Hello together, something in/on (ne, rather in) my engine is tackert… It makes me crazy! ADAC said “Ventil beats on the piston floor” , workshop (older Audi man) says “ignore” my ears say “it doesn’t belong there, what is that” I know, remote diagnosis is always a kind of glass ball reading, but maybe someone is familiar with the tacker? Maybe I also hear ghosts? It comes more from the left (if I stand in front of it, so passenger side), while filming fell m I want to make it clearer in the back too… Thank you and greetingsMotor tackers

  • Track adjusted -> Tires over?

    Hello, just by chance I noticed something quite stupid about my moose: the still quite new tyres are already clearly down on the insides (not 10000 km) on the front (especially VL). To the story: I had new track rods installed at a third-party workshop (but Volvo specialized). Since the steering wheel was slightly crooked after that and I was just at Volvo after that, I had “the wheel angles checked and adjusted” at Volvo. After that, brand new tires came on all 4 wheels (in April 2008). In other words, although the track rods were initially not set correctly (the steering wheel was slightly crooked), the dirty tires would have to be the fault of the Volvo dealer. How do you see this – how would you proceed?

  • Volvo XC90 D5 Sport, Problems

    Hello your Volvo friends. Used to have an S80 with full equipment as a company car. I’ve been on my own for 1 year now and bought a Volvo XC 90 D5 sport with bixenon, leather, etc. in May 2008. Not exactly an action but I thought it was worth the money. After 3 weeks it started. The alarm went on just like this. Switched off, locked up again. After 30 minutes. Driven to the Volvo dealer. He detected a defective sensor of the interior surveillance. After 1 month the same thing again. But then the nice gentleman said that the diagnosis did not find a mistake. He meant that maybe a fly triggered the alarm. Haha. Good. Yesterday, after another month it started again. I suspect a problem because of the high temperatures. Always the (black) car stood in the sun all day. But that doesn’t happen every time it is so hot. I asked the dealer what he wants to do now. He says he knows it. no. I asked for a joke about having to leave the car in the garage when the sun is shining. I’m waiting for his call today. Furthermore, I have so disturbing crackling and scraping some covers (I can’t find where I could freak out from anywhere). And when it’s all turned to the left, you notice a very slight corner in the steering. That’s what the mechanic meant that he can’t detect anything. If it gets worse, s I’m hard desperate especially since the car gross has cost over € 60,000,-. Does anyone know any advice ?.. Thanks Mfg

  • XC70 Invasion at Lake Maggiore

    Hi, in between and not important … I was a couple of days (SCIENCELY – as far as you can say with the beauty of the lake) at Lake Maggiore (Italy) with my 2007 XC70II and was impressed by the mass of XC70 that you can see there – both II and III. The density was definitely higher than in California and the XC70 was there and also on L. Maggiore the most driven Volvo. Of the Swiss you know that they love Volvo. XC70 from CH, I and D en masse or have I missed an XC70 meeting there without knowing. Greeting Boardride

  • Purchase advice V70

    Hello together! We also need a new “Pampersbomber”, the old one (Opel Astra, Built 95, 257,000 km…) disassembles it so slowly after construction etc…. In the search I found two very nice cars for us: 1. Built 2000, 103 KW, 2.4 liters, petrol, switch, 125,000 km 2. Built 2001, 103 KW, 2.4 liters, petrol, switch, 127,000 km To my knowledge, the engine in the Built 2000 is a BMW engine and in the Built 2001 a Ford engine. Have you had experience with the engines? I’ve already read a lot about the V70, year 2000: is the 2001’er also so reliable? Is there any other childhood diseases in the 2001’er? What experiences did you have? I’m grateful for every tip that makes it easier for me to decide…. Thank you in advance! Greeting Dirk!

  • What should I pay attention to in this purchase?

    Hi together I’m on this ad today from one. Here a few details about the car: What do you think of this model with this number of kilometers I should rather keep away from it or can you use this car still well without any further problems. I don’t know with this model so from therefore I wanted to ask you what you think about it if there would already be repairs there when buying and maybe a few tips what I should ask the dealer I’m in this a newcomer to the topic. LG and Thank you

  • Differential pressure sensor – problems after exchange. Please help me 🙂

    V50, 282,000km, 2.0D, replica DPF since 60k km Hello, I would like your help: My V50 had a high fuel consumption (8.3l / 100km) and some oil increase. Therefore I read out the differential pressure sensor in the Vida, which seems to be ok, but had a drift (stable rise) when the engine was running longer. So sensor checked –> there was water in it. Tubes blown through and new DDS bought and installed from Hella. (https://www.ebay.de/…/192802069243) All good, 1 day later the error message “motor system maintenance is required”. In the Vida the error is filed that the DDS delivers to nitric values (ECM 2454 Pressure sensor partial trap signal too low). After the deletion was 2 days quiet (7,6l consumption) and then again the error message. In the Vida the DDS displays measured values, which are close to 0, but also significantly increase when giving gas. Hose clamps on the DDS have already been checked. Which scenario is the DDS? Do you think you’re likely?: 1. DDS has been delivered defective? 2. Learning values of the engine are overloaded with new low value? You can reset the Vida, is it safe for the hobby screwdriver? 3. Cable breakage or something completely different? Thanks already

  • V50 2.0D 2005 AGR can be exchanged yourself?

    Hi people, the search function for “AGR V50 2.0D” is already haunting almost hundreds of entries. What I did not find, however, is an answer to the question whether you can change the AGR valve yourself? Sure, you will answer, everything is possible. But according to the Haynes V50 manual, it is necessary to release the engine and let it down a bit. But for that I lack the means. Now the question arises, is it possible with hardship and distress also without this procedure? Does someone already have the AGR I have a second AGR at home (cleaned, tested), which the friendly one changed to me about a year ago. Now the V50 is jerking and twitching again in cold weather and I tap again on the AGR valve, as the same problem as a year ago. Many greetings, Crookstone

  • Aut. Day running light at the C70 -> Mj 2008 <- deactivable ?

    My recently purchased C70 has activated the automatic daytime running light (ex works). The light switch still has 3 positions: “0” – “Standlicht” – “Fahrlicht” – “Fahrlicht”. However, the driving light is also on “0” at the start of the engine. I want this, as a driver who has been able to think for over 40 years, to deactivate when driving. My dealer is now not (more) able to “program out” my daytime driving light. he has been able to do this several times, in my model year 2008 he would not find this de/activation point in his software any more. Who knows where to look? (Is the same dealer who forgot to take out my transport fuses…) Gruss Peter (who regrets that his VAG-COM has no “VIDAS” mode)
