  • Pre-heating does not start sporadically with timer

Hello guys, I’ve had an XC70 BJ 2008 for 2 weeks. I chose the car because I was very satisfied with my V70 BJ 2006 and wanted to upgrade again. Unfortunately I noticed that sporadically the heater simply doesn’t start. So when I get home from work the timer for the next morning. Now it happened to me several times that the heater just didn’t start and the corresponding timer was on “OFF”. This morning was It was so that the heater was set to 7:05. I had already finished earlier and got into the car by 6:50. The heater did not run and also the timer for 7:05 was on “AUS”. I checked every time if the timer is really set. If I place the timer and then close the driver’s door the car shows once again in the instrument cluster that the heater was set. The direct start has always worked and with the timers it works mostly, But not always. Now I wanted to ask if I could possibly overlook anything. I assumed that the heater would behave like the V70 2. There it was that the interior was really warm. I have already read out the heater, but no errors were indicated. Maybe I can see that the heater only starts up to this or that temperature (this morning 6°C and the heater didn’t start). n difference between timer 1 and 2? In the instrument cluster, next to the large heating symbol in the display (which indicates that a timer has been set) there is always a 2, should this tell me something? Or is the battery possibly too weak? The car always starts reliable and I have not yet seen any warning. Maybe someone has a tip for me here. Thank you.

  • Telemetry data Volvo On Call

Hello together, does someone know which data or how many Volvo points are recorded for a journey book entry? Background: I need the GPS data for a journey between A and B, as well as motion and consumption values. In the app only – points A and B are displayed with one address (no exact coordinates) – distance between A and B – duration for the distance – average consumption for the distance – real consumption for the distance I had an accident at point B and immediately ignition a The journey book entry was created immediately. In the driver cockpit there was still a warning (red font) of a collision assistant. It was then – to be recognized by a “save dialog” in the center console, secured somewhere. Problem: I stood to turn already a while in the crossing kingdom when I was rammed. Volvo says there is no data because there was no triggering event. I attached a photo so that you can see what kind of damage it is h andelt. (cost approx. 12,000EUR) I activated and set up the VOLVO app two months earlier with Volvo and agreed to record all data in the vehicle. Both software in the car and the app were up to date. The VOLVO contract workshop has NULL experience with Volvo On Call and was overwhelmed with my questions. I have to fill out a 12-page questionnaire of VOLVO Deutschland GmbH with the result: Sorry, no data. Nothing. I don’t even know when telematics data is collected, stored, processed or why there is nothing to do with this event at all. “Hearing Sagen” I have learned that only data is stored after an accident with AirBag triggering such as steering impact, turn signal, speed motor, volume radio etc. At VOLVO Deutschland GmbH I was informed that one does not speak further to my case. I would already have the GPS data between points A and B re iden. Alone to occupy my position during the ride or also the status at the crossing. Does anyone have experience with the On Call data? • Farewell to the V60, welcome to the S60II CC 😉

Servus to everyone, now it’s time. I chose a successor. By stupid coincidence I found in my place a S60II Cross Country D4 AWD, which was super well cared for for for a new owner. And immediately yes called, when I offered myself… Pictures I’m going to put in soon. However, I’m crying after my “old” V60 one or the other tear. Technically fit, everything repaired… You never know what to expect with the new car. Bl Unfortunately, the whole thing happened very shortly, so there was hardly time to offer the old one somewhere. He is “something special”. I hired him for a few days here in the MT at “Bieten”. Maybe someone is interested. Otherwise he will probably go “far, far away”. Which is really a pity. I put a lot of heart blood in there. So who wants to look at it… Otherwise I am looking forward to the new moose. Tomorrow I will pick him up. Let’s see what the 2,4e r with AWD so consumed on my long distance.

  • My little (elch)farm – Hello dear forum!

Hello dear forum colleagues! After two elks (MJ97 & MJ 2000) came to me I would like to say “hello” in the 850s/V70s forum. It started with a colleague who helped out in a workshop and was called as a tow driver to an accident. After cared for V70 with “little” kilometers (250tkm) are rather rare I decided to take up the red V70 (2.5 10V) and bring it back to the road. That’s why the silver (2.4 20V 140PS) came by chance. 420tkm) which should serve as a spare part dispenser. Meanwhile, however, I noticed that a lot of the electronics has changed for the MJ 2000 – but from the sheet metal it should fit (d made?!). After I am also occasionally active in the V70 II I have already found a few nice colleagues again. Look forward to a nice time and nice exchange with you! Keep up to date… LG from the beautiful Mühlviertel/Oberösterreich! Christopher

  • Diesel heater in summer

Hello together, even if others think of ice cream with vanilla, I have not forgotten my SH. No, I don’t want to copy any of the various SH freds, because the topics when/whether/how the SH does (or not) have been discussed a lot. But, I remember from a Fred that one should let the SH run manually even in warm seasons. Therefore here again concretely: Do you let your SH run in warm seasons? If yes, how often and how long? (Elchwiki says “in the A I am currently at once a month, five minutes, but I have no idea how suitable that is.) Greeting xc90s …he hopes that he will not ask for a pack of Haumichblau here.

  • SUV/XC90 dies from , headline car image…

Because I know that you are all readers of the above-mentioned newspaper. Issue 18.07.2008: SUVs die out, like the dinosaurs…, not adapted to the environmental conditions. Decrease of sale XC90 last year: minus 38.9% Jo, we will soon drive an exotic, should we begin to greet ourselves? With ironic greeting Torsten who today on the airfield has read the car picture and asks for forgiveness….

  • Big moose with “small” shram…

Hello, I have to get rid of my (small) frustration… At the weekend nice drive to HH, it was totally raining. I was first at the traffic light and wanted to eat a bun when there was a bang from behind. There was one wanted to record with my elk ! When I drove a piece and saw the “gegnner” in the rear view mirror, I first got a scare, how my elk looks like. Right on the right and my elk from behind examined, optically but half as wild. First the P today with the estimate received: approx. 2450 € gross !!! God she thanks this the opponent pays this ! Greeting Haeken who thinks that based on the spare parts prices the total is quite cheap !

  • New presentation – Hello together !!

Hello together, I am happy that I am “stollen” and have registered right away through this forum. I’ve been happy with an XC 90 D5 for 3 months. Technically, it looks like this: XC 90 D5 Titanium Grey Metallic Summum Automatic Sovereign Hide Softleather Seats Grey iPod Interface Navi with Hard Drive Audio Package Premium Sound Standing Heating Telephone GSM Styling Package Exterior Styling with Pedestrian Boards Roofing Panels Electric Glass Slided Roof Parking Aid Front and Back up to now I am very satisfied with the XC 90. By the way, I have changed from a V 50 T5 to the XC 90. If the on-board computer does not deceive me, my average consumption is between 8.5 and 9.3 l/100 km. (I drive almost exclusively motorway and 90% with the Cruise Control.) I would only wish for a reprogramming of the navigator. On the one hand I do not know which devil has ridden Volvo when they chose the female voice, in which I mmer has the feeling that a Germanist student speaks to me 😉 On the other hand, there are many errors in the system, especially here in Munich! Example: The voice says : Turn left, but the map points to the right. If you follow the voice you drive wrong. So again Hello and I look forward to sharing experiences here in the forum.

  • Moose on Deviations + Presentation

Hello! Today there was an unintentional slide into the swamp! Tricky place, since the grass strip on the road edge is not 30 cm wide and the transition to the moor was not visible. The moose did not come out of there by its own strength, even on the hook of a Japanese big suv’s nothing went… Despite the slanting he sat nowhere up and the whole thing went over the stage without scratches and bumps. Thought now for a long time now to introduce me with pictures, nevertheless never came to the elk in what But now the motto “Better late than never”. To moose: a faithful servant since 67000 km. After many Audis and VW’s it is the first, but certainly not the last Volvo. It can get better in terms of workmanship, but when I get into the car I feel safe as in Fort Knox. Has actually made hardly any bitches – the rear wheel bearings were replaced at about 35000 km, and only once he had to go outside of the scheduled maintenance into the factory. To me: Exile-Ulmer, who has been working as a doctor in West Norway for 15 years, 44 years, married, three kids. Greetings from Norway! Thomas
