V70 D4 VEA automatic – start/stop and engine jerking after software update 2017
Of course, I also got a software update during the inspection in August 2017. First of all, I didn’t notice anything, but since it’s cold, I have a lot of motor rucksacks in certain situations. It’s almost always reproducible, for example, if I drive in the city at a speed of 50km/h with (distance) tempomat, the car slows down to 35-40km/h and then slowly accelerates again. That is, if it accelerates very little between 35 and 50km/h, e In addition, the start/stop system seems to have been changed. If I remember correctly, it was deactivated earlier at low (and high) outdoor temperatures. Now we had -5°C the other morning, I drove a short bit and although the engine temperature indicator indicated only a small warming – it was still far away from the middle position, the engine was exhibited at the stop at the traffic light. I suspect that Volvo too was something about the nitric oxide sink. has been changed with the software update without commenting on this. Has any of you had similar experiences? Does anyone know what might have been changed in the update? Greetings, Matthias.

My new baby
Juppi… after 9 weeks of pregnancy my moose has passed into my care today As an old MT bunny I present the new one immediately MIT images To the vehicle: V60 1.6 DRIVe Momentum Black Stone Leather Soft beige steering wheel 2-coloured wooden inserts Urban Wood laminated glass Xenon with cornering light 4-C suspension with Servotronic Keyless Premium Sound System DAB Radio RTI Navigation Floor heating Seat heating Rear camera First impression: super nice car. Performance is absolutely sufficient if I have to get used to the diesel characteristics again. Consumption on the first 15 km = 6.2 Ltr. But that will certainly correct down. Inside you can hear surprisingly little of the diesel. I haven’t set the premium sound to my taste yet, but so far it sounds very good. Sensus I still have to study – there are countless possibilities for adjustment. I can do much more after the few kilomes. I’m afraid I’m not saying it yet, but I’m sure I’m going to continue my experience here.

Gasket injectors on the XC70 II (2014) with D4 engine at a good 70,000 km normal?
I had always thought a lot about Volvo, but now I’m starting to doubt it. After a good 3 years our XC70 (5.2014) at 72,800 km no longer got a TÜV because oil came out in several places. Although we had to go on holiday (booked for a ferry) it was already difficult to persuade the friendly person to take care of the matter at all. We had booked the smaller of the warranty extensions (until 2019), which however, as it turns out does not cover much. The result: 800 EUR for the Repara I have to admit that some people had warned me about the newer engines (drive Volvo for 20 years), but that’s not satisfactory. I myself have been driving a Mercedes Diesel for 30 years, so I think it would be unthinkable. Is it really normal for the Volvo D4 to expect such damage, even though the car has been running for 30 years? is 3.5 years old and has 72,500km down? How can such an engine last for 200,000 km or more? Or is this now “Made in China” and you have to get used to something like this with a “Premium” car? Too bad!

Buy XC 70 again?
Hello together (now in the right subforum). I was long no longer here in the forum, my XC 70 of 2003 (purchased 04) drove just. 13 years. From central Italy to Narvik. Now he will probably leave me, at over 250,000 km. Heavy defect at the Haldex, rear axle, differential. Repair probably no longer worth. Otherwise everything ok, 1. engine, 1. transmission, no gram rust. Always stood outside. I drove the car like said 13 years gladly, and after every car rental (also Mercedes, A) udi …) I was glad to have mine again. On the other hand: my workshop has earned relatively often and well on me. 3 injectors, all four springs, charge air coolers, always the heater and what else. But anyway, at the age it was allowed and nice it was anyway. I come to the point: now I could possibly have a well-equipped XC 70 from 2012 with 140,000 km. My question to you: What experiences are there for the new model (especially compared to the old one). clear: experiences are subjective, but it would help me a little if the tenor of your comments were “immediately” or “finger away”. Best regards Woernie

Brake assembly failure?
Moin. I recently took over a V70, in which the brakes (dishes/blocks) were made. Now I noticed a really bad metal sound twice, as if a sheet metal was grinding on the disc. This could only be fixed by a little backwards driving. If I look at the rear brakes like this, the thin mounting plates look different. To one have the up to 5 mm distance (HL1) or stop also, on the other hand, the end noses were bent only with one sheet (HR2). Question: Can it be that they move so mounted and then grind slightly on the disc? Brain

D5 Intake noise
Hello, I’m starting a new thread to find out why my D5’s tone and running culture and idleness are constantly changing. To the car: V70 D5 (185PS) switch, 210000 km, BJ 2009. The problem: injectors have been cleaned and tested at Bosch. Everything in the target range, errors in the system are also not deposited. Swivel flap is not suspended. If the lever is off, very smooth and not oily. Engine bearings are also good. Exhaust system has been tested and is It starts very well and has a soft, normal run for the first seconds. But sometimes and more and more often the sound changes into a hollow noise, especially when changing loads. Give gas, take everything away normally. Little gas or gas completely –> hollow noise as if a chamber is opened. It doesn’t always do all this and happens in combination with occasionally bumpy idle, rarely even a slight drop in the speed, which catches itself again. In addition, a light Trembling at constant speed, with little gas. I’m annoyed… where can I still look? AGR? Charging pressure valve?

XC60 Automatic in Frost Weather
Hello, the automatic of my XC60 D3 FWD (40,000 km) always requires 2-3 km of driving distance at outside temperatures below 0 degrees until it switches normally after a cold start. Is this normal? Until then I would have to cheer up the engine speedwise in order to get from the place. At some point it switches as usual and everything is good. Is this a bug or a feature?

Purchase advice V70 2.4D or D5
Meal. Think about replacing my V50 with a V70. It should also be automatic, since from time to time a horse trailer with 1 horse is to be pulled. And year 2006 So, now I have among other things 2 interesting offers available: 1 x V70 2.4D with 110,000 km and 163 hp 1 x V70 D5 with 99,000 km and 185 hp Which engine is generally better ? The D5 are much more common, or ? How is the life of the two to each other ? So, that’s it. (Search I used, but not found the right one) Thank you in advance and a good start to the new year!

Loss of servo oil in the V70
Hello. Since yesterday I had very strong noises when driving a car or, more precisely, when driving a car.Today I found out that my servo oil tank is empty. So the cause of the noises has been clarified!I went after it a little bit more, so car up and see here: servo oil at the oil tank.Running tracks are to be recognized. Here and there a fresh drop of servo oil.So it runs down from above. However, I can’t see where the oil comes from exactly. To the servo pump I have to So the oil looks significantly older from the clean oil at the running points. So the servo pump sweats a bit, but I exclude it as leak, because the oil doesn’t actually get cleaner on the way down.So my question: does anyone have any idea where the oil comes from? Perhaps the line that runs along the steering side?
