  • Gear damage?

Hello Reader & Helper, I have a problem with my recently acquired V70, year 2000. I am now driven 4Tkm and am very happy with the car…. except for a little something that might be a bigger problem. I have problems switching into the first gear when I step into the clutch. The first gear only goes in with a lot of resistance. If I switch to the third or second gear before, then the first one goes in better, but not 100% light. The problem gets over. If I brake the car to a standstill and let the clutch kick all the time. The first gear then goes wonderfully easily in. But as soon as I release the clutch and then step again, I have the problem as described first. If I stand on a slight slope and the first gear does not go in and let the car roll only a few cm forward, then the first gear also goes wonderfully lightly in. I was at 2 Volvo dealers. The first wanted me the Kuppl The car has only 94Tkm on the clock and is, I suppose, driven well in front of me. Can someone possibly help me further? Thanks, Mario

  • Oil —- Simmerring VS. Oil tank —- V70 I Built 2000, BS5244S2, M56 manual gearbox, 150Tkm

Hello dear Volvogemeinschaft, with my V70 there is engine oil between gearbox and engine flange (distributed to approx. 50-100cm2). Overnight a small “puddle” of about 5cm diameter is created on the ground. Unfortunately, you can’t see where the oil comes from exactly. It’s fixed, it doesn’t come from above the engine. A check on the lift confirmed this. Also, the ZMS from behind (area towards the engine) is not oiled. I got 2 opinions, which a meant Simmering crankwel Since the repair now differs considerably financially (possibly with ZMS and coupler in the same way when the gearbox is off), I would like to have advice from the expert beforehand, which may give me a clue what it might be more. I know that remote diagnostics are rather difficult, but maybe it will bring one or the other even further. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos right now. PS: Is there something in Weimar, Erfurt or Jena + surroundings like a Volvo community for technical and self-and-inander help? Greetings, a Volvo fan!!

  • Volvo 850 Bj.93 ABS……

Moin Moin, for the first time to say hello to all Volvo drivers…. I have been reading and hoping to find a solution to my problem here. But it doesn’t fit everywhere… I’ve had a strong rattling when braking from the HA for about 2 months. This error is faithful and always there. When it first occurred, I’ve read out the error memory. I’ve got bugs in it. U a valves in the ABS block broken. That was changed by me now. Error memory deleted and see there.. Error code 142 The brake light switch is known to be the brake light switch.Disks in the rear are without rust, but have light bars, but are only 20 000 km inside (Volvo Original). Now my 2 questions : 1. What causes the rattling and how do I eliminate it? 2. Is it really only the brake light switch? Have no desire to replace blue haze div parts….

  • My moose is jerking

Hello Elkfriends Since the very latest, my elk has been jerking like crazy. The car can be started perfectly but as soon as I want to go it jerks and makes the impression as if the engine runs partly only on four cylinders. What I have already controlled or changed – ignition cable – distributor fingers – ignition distributor cap – ignition coil – spark plugs (Original Volvo, looked good, i.e. neither damp nor burnt off – have changed them anyway, no effect) – injection nozzles – fuel Relais – Gasoline pump error is not saved, slowly I run out of money and imagination. Due to the symptoms I (with the help of the free opinion of the mechanic around the corner) simply excluded that it could be the throttle valve or a defective cat. What I could make out here in the forum as a possible error source is the camshaft sensor and the fuel filter. Can it be that a dirty petrol filter can have such effects? Does anyone still have Another tip for me?

  • Today accomplished: transmission oil flushing (pics inside)

It was time, at km 124,700 today there was a flush for the venerable Aisin TF-80 SC. Performed in Elsterwerda in southern Brandenburg by the company SCN-Tuning, which specialized in this topic. At 9 o’clock I had appeared on time for the appointment, it was explained in detail what is done with a test drive before the procedure. Around 11 o’clock the car was ready to pick up again. What should I say: the transmission looks far more harmonious and softer than before, the “intermediate switch In aisle 5 and 6 the car disappeared completely and in aisle 5 hardly noticeable. A completely new driving feeling. 6,9 liters was sucked, rinsed with 13,7 and 7,0 liters filled at 49 degrees. Everything neatly and cleanly logged. Admittedly: with 386 euros the preventive measure was not cheap, but the old broth (picture 1) was already quite dark. 50 ml of it are stored for 1 year. From a gear adaptation drive I took only one after the recommendation of the professional. This 500 km should be given to the gearbox in any case, to get used to the new oil. I will see whether the better switching characteristics affect the consumption (picture 5). The subsequent drive to the Ore Mountains (only rural road and city) went quite well, for an XC70 🙂

  • Question about adjustable steering force

Good morning, I am currently busy with the servo support of the steering. I can see no change in the different steering force settings, and here in the forum contradictory statements about the steps are circulating. Sometimes it is called “light = light support”, sometimes one reads “light = easier steering” (so high support) The operating manual also does not help any further, there is only the option pointed out. If important: The liquid level in the servo fluid kei ts container is in cold condition at about 4/5.

  • Start/stop

Hello, I’ve noticed recently that sometimes (that is, really rare, perhaps 1x per week) the car does not run out while stopping, although the ad “available” says nothing about going out. This can only be observed after the call back to the AGR system or after the exchange of the batteries. Both were quite close to each other in time. The start/stop system was mainly out of function due to the battery problem. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. one that the car does now independently when I get out? Best regards PS: Sorry, I actually wanted to formulate a meaningful title, but now I can’t change that anymore.

  • Rugging / engine oscillation when gasing XC60 D3

Hello, for some time now (km-stand now approx. 25.000) I have the following appearance with my XC60 D3 MJ2011 hand switch: During easy acceleration and only minimal gas giving, the engine jerks or bucks briefly. This often occurs in the range of approx. 1500 rpm, e.g. after you have the car rolling in the city traffic and now quite easily gives gas again. One has the impression that the engine is not a light gas acceptance, instead ruptures clearly. By the way, the problem does not occur with the I would not consider it normal and will soon address it at mine. I’m just afraid again: demonstration effect. Greeting Andreas

  • D3 VEA, engine control lamp Error exhaust gas cleaning system

Moin Together, today our moose (XC60 MJ2016, D3 VEA) disappointed us for the first time. On time at 2 p.m. (the friendly has until 1 p.m. service, until 2 p.m. sale open) went the indicator light „Ebgasanlage”. Car drives as always (since about 20 km of city traffic and 20 km of federal road), but still causes a stupid feeling. KM stand are about 27.700 km, age 22 months (if still good, as in guarantee). Monday morning I have to call our friend, car ka We drive a lot of city traffic, but regularly also longer routes AB (at least 2x per month, then every time at least 50 km back and forth), so that I felt no problems with DPF freeburning yet. I could not recognize marten tracks in the engine compartment (regular cause of the exhaust gas control lamp in the golf in our company). Does anyone have any idea/tip where the error can lie (despite the rudimentary information)?
