  • After engine replacement and approx. 5000 km, suddenly warning – OIL EXCHANGE REQUIREMENTS!

Hello. As I have already described in the title – after an engine change and now already 5000 km mileage, just 1 hour ago suddenly the warning comes to me – “Oil change required!”… The oil level, according to the indicator is normal! Is this normal? I have deliberately gently entered the engine after the change – my cruising speed is actually no more than 130-140 km/h max. on the highway. Since I am on holiday in Poland for just a week, ask i What do you mean, if I can go on like this? Can I do about 1500-2000 km with the warning until I get back home? Thank you very much for all your hints! Greetings from Poland to all of you!

  • Left rear wheel blocked, ABS/slip protection maintenance required!

Servus! I had the following problem today: -when starting the moose only reluctantly jumped on (1.5 hours before I stopped it after 5 km drive; no problems at morning start) -yellow triangle started, ABS/brake light went on, message: ABS/slip protection maintenance required – after engine start again the error indicators remained, after a few meters drive blocked (at least!) the left rear wheel; the moose did not come from the spot – the moose slowly started driving, after inserting of the reverse gear (20cm “drive): no more blocking – after another engine start: slip protection temporarily off I did earlier “Vadis/Vida” for “arms” (thank you, Esker ;-)) : DTCS in Vehicle BCM DTC SET SET SET SRS READY ECM READY AUM READY CEM DTC SET DIM READY DDM CHECKING CCM CHECKING PDM DTC SET PSM DTC SET REM CHECKING SWM READY PHM DTC SET UEM CHECKING There I stand now, I’m poor Thor & as smart as before; well, I can say that now, since I am here http://www .motor-talk.de/forum/bordcomputer-selftest-t1808068.html read what didn’t really get me anywhere… Be driving tomorrow (in the hope that I “drankommen” before 11:11h) I had a little hope that the battery was just “going” (though it didn’t change until November, but doesn’t have to mean anything). But the blocked rear wheel speaks against the battery theory. Well, someone has a spontaneous idea? How about jamming the battery, or is the idea not so good, since it may then not be able to read the errors anymore? Questions about questions… Greeting weflydus

  • Warranty/brake/defect correction issue

Good morning all of you. Me, more precisely my V70 shakes again a problem. Thicker = V70, 140hp suction cup, EZ: 11.2000, Mj.01 20.February 2009: Car purchased from a Renault dealer, with a one-year car guarantee (so one divided into these 2×6 months ) 21.04.2009 was criticized by a Volvo workshop front brake discs: Unround running, vibration, hitting 08.05.2009 the Renault man changed the windows and coverings Since December I noticed a similar feeling b And since we have spent just under 2.5k kilometers on highway and highway over the turn of the year you get scared to brake again because the entire car is bucking…. Running performance since the change (estimated unfortunately only because I just saw the two workshops had noted wrong km stands): around the 10,000km, maybe 12,000km. Now the question is, is this my problem? Or does the car warranty itself take hold within the year? Or is it a very gentle brake? in rework, because in the first half of the year the dealer has never found the cause removed? No matter what comes out, it annoys a bit of Regards Tom

  • Engine V70 runs round while standing still

Good morning. Has anyone ever noticed a similar problem and guessed? My V70 (2001 model, 2.4 petrol) runs unround when I come to a stop. In driving mode everything is OK, only if I come to a junction and uncouple, the speed falls at once under 500 revolutions and the engine starts to stutter. It starts again 2-3 seconds and the speed goes back to normal. Errors read out did not work. In addition, it is after 5 weeks of service life l Battery is top, starter and engine have turned, but no ignition, which suggests that it could have to do with the same or rather with the injection!? Could this have to do with the above problem? Now it starts normal again as I use it every day. thx block-headman

  • XC 90 Repurchase, did I forget something?

Greetings God into the great Volvo forum. After some time of passive reading I now plan to plunge into the adventure XC 90 for the second time, with the experiences so far being absolutely positive. About the for and again XC 90 vs. of the other alternatives on the market (so many serious there are not now…, have found great threads in the forum for this) e i do not start any further discussion here, but ask you to take a look at my config : It should become a D5 summum again with the following basic data : 7-seater, apparently now standard rims : Camulus 6-speed circuit Color : Ember black metallic Interior color seats : Chestnut Brown Sovereign soft leather, decor anthracite inserts Alu brushed interior mirror with glare automatic and compass RTI hard disks side windows in the doors made of laminated glass (because of better egg Ipod/USB interface Did I forget anything from your point of view? What do you think of the color combination? Does anyone have photos of this and could upload them would be great. Oh yes, financing is planned as a business car kilometer leasing via Volvo bank, run time 36 months looking forward to your feedback, Gruss Mike

  • XC 90 CEM, can this be expanded???

Hello all, I have the following problem: With my CEM water has penetrated into a plug-in connection and 4 pins have been aboxidized. I have now received an offer from the friendly over 2300.- Euro for the exchange of the CEM and the affected wire harness. But I do not look to spend so much money for 4 pins. I have talked to an electrician who said that he can use me there new pins, if the board is still ok and you can open the part too. I would like this a uf try all the cases, because either it is possible or not. That’s all I can do anyway, because it is supposed to be exchanged anyway. Only the part, which is obviously the heart of the electronics is so easy to clamp down, expand and then retrofit, or do I trigger any protective mechanisms or anti-theft devices and nothing at all? I would be very grateful for the answers.

  • Volvo S 80 Diesel EZ 12/2000 red badge

Have the red badge and get in my Regio BaWü in almost no city any more. The S 80 has only 80,000 km down and is in top condition. There is a chance for a retrofit. What would you do with a car with a few KM in my place. Logout and wait for miracles. Scrap. Trade in at the Volvo dealer and pay for something. I trusted for a long time on the dealer who wanted to weigh me in safety and always said: Of this variety still many, since There will be a special arrangement, don’t worry about it… .. now I’ve got the red card, uh, badge and a Volvo for which I paged around 25,000 euros in January 2000. Does anyone have an idea for me?

  • Air conditioning works only a few minutes

Hello! Recently my air conditioning is causing problems, maybe someone can help me. If I start the engine and the climate is switched on in the ECC, the air conditioning compressor works as it should. It switches on and off, depending on the need. This only works for a few minutes, then it no longer switches on. If I then switch off the engine for a few minutes and then start it again, the compressor goes again for a while. If I let the engine run without having to e climate is switched on and then after a few minutes the climate is switched on, so the compressor does not switch on at all. I have already checked the following things: – error memory: no errors – magnetic coupling: That’s not the reason. Both after the broomstick method checked, as well as by measurement – no more switching signal for the coupling comes. – compressor relay: in order – refrigerant level: On the dryer leak traces of the contrast medium are visible. These could be seen from the change of the A too low refrigerant level would also be the first idea of the friendly Volvo master. He thinks this is expressed in exactly the symptom that the compressor is still on at the beginning and no longer on later. Ok, understandably. But why is the compressor no longer going after a few minutes of driving, even if it was not switched on before? Then it can’t be due to a too low refrigerant level, can it? In the workshop, we also briefly looked at the peripheral values of the air conditioning system working at this moment: Compressor switches at about 5 degrees evaporator temp. from time to time at about 9 degrees again. The refrigerant pressure moved between 4 and 7 bar. With warm engine and about 15 degrees in the workshop. Unfortunately, we could not wait until the compressor shuts down. Maybe one of you has an idea? Or maybe someone can explain to me why it is too g eringen refrigerant level can lie? Greeting Matze

  • Missing underbody protection/motor cladding ?

Hello together, can you tell me if the S60 T5 pre-model maintenance (engine identifier B5234T3) should have such a underbody protection / engine cover? I found an image after endless searches in the net and attached it below. Maybe a T5 driver would be so friendly to look under his Volvo, or one of the part professionals here can help me? At E bäy is such a thing inside, but I’m not sure whether the Turbo petroler was fitted with such a thing, or from any thermo link to the bay Thanks and greeting
