  • S60 T 5: Rucking in the low gears

Hello, I have the following problem. I have been driving a Volvo S60 T5 built in 2001, manual transmission for about 3 months. And I have incredible problems in the first two gears with the dome and switching, which jerks and stutters like in the first driving hour, especially after starting. From the third gear it is then good. At the beginning when I had the car new, I thought mmh ok, new car and from Micra to T5 mmh you can have problems with the clutch at the beginning, the w But unfortunately it didn’t.. Yes, now you certainly can’t drive Volvo. Unfortunately, I only have the problems with my car; with our second car Volvo V70 200 hp + chip tuning, I don’t have the switch. Does anyone know if that can be any problem with the gearbox?? I’ve already searched the forum, but unfortunately I always find it only when I drive automatic. Would you be really grateful about your help, because I still have a guarantee on the car. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Timing belt change: Change belt tensioner for V-belts?

Good evening Elk friends, with my V70 D5 the first ZR change is on. I want to have the V-belt changed immediately. Should the belt tensioner of the V-belt also be changed? Or is the money thrown out analogous to the frequently propagated water pump change? One hour reading relevant threads with the SuFu didn’t get me any further. Greeting, Ingbert

  • Mount larger front brake discs

Moin. I read here that you can change the “small 278mm” disks for the “larger 320mm” disks. Only other coverings would be necessary!? How can this work? The saddles would have to move further outwards!? Can someone clarify this?

  • C70 II with 205/50 R17

Hello, two years ago I bought a used C70 II, BJ 2008, 2.0D from the dealer with new TÜV, which is matured with original Volvo rims (I don’t know the name) and 205/50 R17 ( Adhesive Quadraxer 2). With the tires I am *very* satisfied to notice nothing of track groove sensitivity (as read here more often) and at high speeds it is really very good in the curves and driving is completely relaxed. Now TÜV was due and the examiner has the Rei Do I have any chance ? On some pages the dealers sell me exactly this tire size (and partly also brand) for this car, but I have found nothing that could soothe an inspector. If I have to bite in the sour apple and buy new rims: with which rims/tire combination would I have driving characteristics that come as close as possible to the current tire ? It should be all-year tires again, but would I prefer the mo mentane combination… Thank you very much! Hubert

  • Child seat in V70? Isofix retrofittable?

Hello, since I still keep my medium a little bit, I have to find a suitable child seat for him (group I, 9-18kg). Are there seats that fit particularly well into the V70II (my is from 12/2001)? Is even an Isofix retrofit possible?

  • Can the front of the Facelift (04) be mounted on a 2002 V70 model?

Hello dear volvofriends! I have now come to the volvotrip and seriously think about buying a V70, only bothers me the front of the old model. the facelift looks really great and so I came to the idea of the facelift model (bj 04) to mount the front to a model bj. 02. goes that at all, in other words, the suspension points of the bumper are the same and what about the headlights? is there something else to consider? would be very grateful to answer well! and we nn you are now wondering why I don’t steal a 04 model right away: the price ;D or are there any other differences? what comes to my mind: what about the niveu regulation of the V70? if it has such a thing, can I still lay it down or can it not or will it become more expensive? many love thanks already!

  • Retrofit Nivomat ( … and Xenon?)

Hello together, since I will soon need a child seat more in the car I want to have the Nivomat in my V70 retrofitted now, is quite problem-free. After I have already looked around here in the forum on the topic Xenon retrofitting came to me the question, whether with the Nivomat I would not have done already the topic of the required height adjustment for the Xenon. In other words, then I actually need ‘only’ the lamps, ECU and SRA. Thank you in advance!

  • 4C landing gear

Hello Elch municipality. Who of you actually ordered the optional 4C chassis (V70/S60 not R)? I have to say that after 3 years I am extremely disappointed about the performance and durability. Unfortunately, the then bought no vehicle had available for testing, so I spent the almost 1200€. Apart from that the difference between sport and comfort is minimal, already 2 sensors were broken and now also 2 shock absorbers are leaking! How are your experiences with the r Performance and durability? Can I replace the shock absorbers with normal ones and have the 4C module switched off by the software? Did jmd try to install new springs from Eibach, Sachs, HR in combination with the 4C shock absorbers and is there anything like that? The comfort position is too soft for me (in curves too many wave movements) and the sport setting too rough (every cross joint goes through the whole car that it crawls and rattles everywhere). I am constantly playing around, before the Curve still fast pressed on sport and then back to comfort.
