  • German system software for Bluepower BLP 840

Hello, I have had a Bluepower since about November 2009, but only with English – Japanese software version. Maybe someone from you has a German software incl. Navi Update for IGO 8. Thank you for your help.

  • Start with Xenon

Does the short oscillator actually damage the Xenon light when starting, if you have the light switch permanently on “2” (on)? 1) Ignition lock on II (light on) 2) Ignition lock on III (engine off, light off for a short time) 3) Ignition lock goes back to II (light goes back on) I read a reboot of the Xenon burner after less than 10 minutes. Cooling down time should greatly reduce the lifespan … Is that true?

  • Bi-Xenon V70 MY2006 already defective??

Our V70, EZ 10/2005 MY2006 now has almost 95,000 km on the speedometer and yesterday the dipped light of the right bi-xenon headlight went out. First a nice, pink-coloured light, probably festive day coloring 🙂 and now it has completely given up the mind. I was assuming that the bulbs in Xenon headlights would last much longer. What experience do you have with Xenon headlights at Volvo? The 95,000 km were mostly drained with driving light, even during the day. A former DB E270CDI with Xenon returned to the leasing with the original pears at 150,000 km after 2 years. What is the cost of the exchange? I will only be able to find out about it after the holidays with the friendly……. Weird, there are ALWAYS some unplanned costs at Christmas as well…… Still more happy party, Horst

  • Cold..my S60 doesn’t start! 😮 Starter broken or just really warm up?

Hey guys..I picked up my S60 the day before yesterday and the car doesn’t start! When I picked it up, it had to be pushed on before I could drive off. I was told that the battery is probably empty and has to recharge (already great that I got an empty battery). After I drove home about half an hour and wanted to start the car again he didn’t jump on as I said. My dealer said that I was warming up the car. I got the battery completely charged yesterday (it was empty) and now my guess was that the starter is through. The car purrs like a kitten and drives perfectly once it is on. However, the dealer doesn’t want to look at the car again, because he thinks it’s just the cold. Should I just step through the car for an hour on the highway so that it “warms up properly” and look at it. or should I force the dealer to change the starter or check the connections? Tüv and everything is new (five days ago) and should always have started without any problems. So the car should actually be in a top condition. Then just the day before yesterday, when I got the car the cold break. But I actually thought that Volvo is a winter car!? Ask for a quick answer, since I urgently need the car Tige. Thanks for the answers! Lg Bill

  • LED interior lighting Volvo “Trade fair vehicles”

Hello Volvo fan community For weeks I have been desperately looking for the LED interior lighting for the latest Volvo XC70, as it is used according to Volvo Switzerland in the knife vehicles (e.g. Geneva Motor Show, Auto Zurich, etc.). However, these lights are not available as accessories and are not available anywhere else. Volvo Switzerland is very covered in this respect. Who knows what LED lights have been installed in the interior lighting or where the “Fah Fair” lights are used. I am grateful for every little tip! In the appendix a picture of the modified LED interior lighting of a Volv XC70 on the occasion of this year’s “Auto Zürich”. Ps. According to eyewitness on site, these are individual small LED diodes, which are arranged in star shape (inside 3 / outside 6). Thank you for your help! Best regards, Mario

  • Screaming at the start – V60 BJ 2012

Hi! After I haven’t found a contribution to my problem here, I’ll get one myself. My Volvo V60 with D2 machine BJ 2012 is making screaming noises when starting up. I noticed it for the first time today when starting up the mountain. The noise can be heard under load from approx. 1,600-1,700 revolutions. Had no opportunity today to record the screaming or to locate it more closely. I’ll see if it happens again tomorrow and if yes, a recording and post here. I’m happy about your answers! Trish

  • Experience Retrofit Webasto heater in S60/V60

For my S60 MY2011 with diesel 163 HP machine I think about the retrofitting of a Webasto Thermo TOP Evo 5 heater with Thermocall. However, I came across various statements in the forum regarding the setting of the automatic climate control. As I understand it, the heater controls the blower motor for the interior after reaching a certain cooling water temperature. Temperature and valve position of the ventilation are not changed. Position Automatic air conditioning on AUTO and Temp. at 21°C after 30min heating time for an ice-free disc? It is only important to me that the windshield is ice-free.

  • VParts front spoiler V70 on S80

Good day together I wanted to throw the question into the round here. Found a nice front spoiler of VParts.https://vparts.se/…/…-lap-frontspoiler-till-volvo-v70-08-13.html. Now it is on the side that it should fit only on a V70 bj. 08-13. I have an S80 bj. 2007, does not fit also ? Hope someone already has experience with VParts and the problem.

  • Volvo V50 D2.0 Built 07 DPF clean

The following problem: The workshop wants the DPF to be changed, which should do far more than 1000€ in total. Now I have researched something and found out that cleaning the DPF should be enough for the time being or could save costs. The question only arises to me, how to get to this DPF and how to clean it best and what to take into account. I am very grateful about helpful answers. With fre Greetings and many thanks to all Yannick
