what do you think of SUVs with 2WD (as now with XC90) ?
Lt. newspaper news comes the XC90 – as for a long time in the USA – also in D to the all-wheel also with 2WD (because it should become more expensive with it) – other manufacturers have already started with it already. How do you say to it? Is such a car then still a “SUV” ? At least it is still as “high” as a real SUV, namely about the 180 cm. Other SUVs are already clearly under 170 cm, that is then the so-called “crossover”. Soon they are already under 160 cm. But back to the K question: What do you think of SUVs that don’t have an all-wheel drive? rolo PS: I personally don’t think about it, I don’t think all-wheel drive not only has advantages on detours (but who is already driving into the terrain !?) but also safety advantages on normal roads, especially in winter and wet weather and especially on a high-rise and relatively heavy car.

Motor oil also under the tub
Hello Elk-Gemeinde, I have complained in other contexts about my Dickelch. Then everything was quiet, except for the following: I would have liked to have heard something from the experts below you, if motor oil from the plastic tube next to the oil tank – I believe it leads to the compressor – drips down on the lower engine cover and of course also the bottom of the tub. Who has gained experience so far? In particular, it is also up to me to the specialists Z of the “90-er”. The story: XC90D5 Executive 185 HP with toos. Options. EZ December 2006. Already for the first maintenance in 2007, I reported the beginning oil pollution. “You have to keep watching it”. Maintenance 2008: It had become worse. Small amounts of oil on the lower engine cover. I wrote a note for my master and enclosed photos. The bells were pulled on the said tube. At the same time I closed an extension warranty over 3 years. maintenance 2009: the same, only again worse. Oil also again on the cover, note, photos and on both sides comments. maintenance 2010: again a little more oil on the cover, drops on the pipe and under the oil pan. note, photos and the comment: “You have to wait for the further development”. That made me angry, but I have another year until the expiry of the warranty extension. On 08.11. I have already, with regard to the next and last inspection in December, mei a new note with the listing of all the proposals and the latest photos sent to my dear master. His reaction, but only to my telf. demand on November 17: He noted on his report: “Dense engine”, so he told me. So what to do? Who can help? I would be pleased. Greetings to all Doeffi

Aux-In / IPod adapter cable for Radio SC series
Hello lovers of high quality music, who are looking long enough, find a way to connect an MP3 player to his Volvo OEM Radio of the series SC. However, the adapter devices are sold only in USA and currently cost approx.70 USD plus customs fee, taxes and shipping costs: – with Ipod interface: BlitzSafe VOL/M-LINK1 V.1 – with AUX interface: BlitzSafe VOL/AUX DMX V.1 The shipping costs are quite high, therefore it is worth a collective order of these devices. The user orea1 from the Volvoforum has thankfully coordinated such a collection order: Details can be read here, the price per device was approx. 65..70 Euro. I am interested in ordering one of these adapters anyway. Can other interested parties find themselves so that a collection order is worthwhile? Potential co-orderers please post here. Greetings from the Wild South

ABS error 314, 324, 443, 441 on the 96 Volvo 850
Servus together, I have a new vehicle, a 850er station wagon EZ at the end of 1996, which stood out about 1/2 year and unfortunately I hardly know anything about the previous history (warnings, problems etc.). The revival worked well, however, the ABS light shines constantly. The TRACS light doesn’t glow and nothing happens when you press it. However, I couldn’t really drive the car yet, I don’t know if it has any effect. Iker: – 314: Right rear wheel sensor signal, intermittent error, error in sensor circuit – 324: Right rear wheel sensor signal, intermittent error, extrapolation counter – 443: pump motor, intermittent error, electrical or mechanical error – 441: main relay in the control unit, intermittent error, main relay faulty The control unit (ATE Volvo, Control Unit + TRACS) has the number 9162675. Is it possible to exchange for an outdated/soldered or to follow the error codes? Thank you and sip evening! Finke

Exchange throttle valve
Good morning, I have a difference of opinion with my screwdriver. My ets lamp burns and the throttle flap really gives me problems. Now I got a used throttle flap out of a running volvo and after swapping it ran very bad. My knowledge is that he should use the volvo dealer on the computer to teach him a, my screwdriver envies that and tells me that the new throttle flap is kaput. How is that now? Let new teach, or not? Greetings Frank Volvo v70 I, 170pk, 199 8, 260.000km

Finally also proud moose driver
So, after a long search and waiting for a long time (health-related about 3 weeks) our first Swede is now at the door. It is a 2004 XC 70 “Premium” D5 with upscale equipment (leather, automatic,Navi, phone,HU 803 Dolby, electr. seats, AhK,etc.) in Black Metalik. We picked him up today under winter conditions. The car is from 2nd hand, complete SH at Volvo, but has some optical stains which are quite legitimate after 9 years. There were still many Invoices and service leaflets in the car, what particularly scared me, or I didn’t expect from Volvo either: the angular gearbox was changed at 140000 and after 7 years already. Was it a limp 1500€, anyway what’s going on? Thought with Volvo everything was done for eternity then I could have stayed with VW.Now of course it is our advantage, a part less that can break! But altogether a horny box!! Comfortable, basic solund un d such a nice smooth 5-end, perfect! Better pictures follow of course. Planned changes: – Preheating, sometimes just driving to Venlo (5km ) – Extender box for an even more “more” – iPhone/MP3 connection – more beautiful wheels with all-year tire,as a replacement for the series “Tellus” – wood applications to replace aluminium variant (who wants?)

V70 II visited and disappointed, questions about
Hello together, I would like to introduce myself briefly, have spent the last 10 years in the BMW camp and am currently looking for a faithful cargo donkey. Since I had a 2004 V70 D5 as a company car already years ago, and was absolutely happy with the car (OK, new car driven from 300km – 102000km), I would like to now another one. Of the shape I would like the V70 II, is most appealing for me. On Friday I visited one in the vicinity, but this one has me (Rost on rear bumper carrier, rust at front dome bearings, climate def, poor condition, maintenance jam). Therefore, my question, what must be realistically created for a well-kept model. Basic data: from BJ 2002 AHK climate leather seat heater KM up to 250 tkm Would like more equipment, but no Must Have. For information, am from Southern Bavaria, with us the selection is unfortunately very limited. Thanks to all experienced moose drivers.
