  • Gas conversion!? T5, 2.4i, 2.4 or 2.0D

Good evening, as the overhang already says, it is about the purchase of a new V50. At the moment we drive a V50 2.0D and a V40. The V40 has to be abolished soon and thus becomes room for a new one. Now the question, which is best if you consider a possible gas conversion. I have already selected from some posts the individual advantages/disadvantages. But is a lot of point of view… But what would you advise? With a garden & landscape architect n in the house the car is a lot on the road and so each year about 40T- 45T km come together. Does one somehow have an invoice, or also recommendations whether the surcharge of the T5 compared to the 2.4(i) is worthwhile. Or if it would not be cheaper to take a diesel. Is the additional consumption of a T5 compared to a 2.0D not so strong that it would not be worthwhile again? In addition, the conversion costs of approx. 2.6 – 2.9T EUR… On the other hand, the steur savings are (how much?). nice if you could give me tips and let me share your opinion. Thank you and a lively discussion…

  • Finishing Sapphireblackmetallic

Hello Volvogemeinde, theme especially for all “Saphirschwarzmetallicfahrer” ! I would be interested in what it looks like with you with the regular paint care. My great C70II (since July 2007 in use, up to now 9000 km down) was cleaned and maintained regularly in a Carwash washing system (which with the allegedly lacquer-saving textile wash) . Sometimes the full program, so about every 4 weeks, in between the medium care with shine protection. My friend advised me to complain about this at the wash road, otherwise I should have the car polished professionally in the spring – he could recommend me special lists that can eliminate the holograms. Can you make me think of your experiences: 1. Have you had similar experiences? 2 What can you do about it? 3. But better hand wash? 4. Does polishing make sense after about 9 months, and if so, where is it best to do it with what means and procedures? Do not hold so much of polishing machines, for example, as I fear a “damage improvement”. On the one hand, I am naturally happy about every intense sunshine, on the other hand, also regularly look at these ugly reflexes. Who can help me with good tips? I am very excited. Greetings Uwe

  • Organisational information

Hello, now I’m already active for some time (just 1 year) in this forum and there were always hints from you in the beginning that I might one day get into a problem with my nickname… Well, ‘SteveT6’ just outed me as a driver of a T6, in my case S80T6. This is also well known… I thought back then and also until recently that I would drive the T6 even longer and therefore the Nick will not become obsolete so fast… But it has become about 3 weeks ago I had a workshopermin and as a replacement car there was an S60R…. Driving the car gave me the urgent desire to make a change after 5 years S80 times. So I hit and got the car yesterday: S60 R, MJ 2004, 19,000km VOLVO directional vehicle in absolutely impeccable condition titaniumgrey metallic, Atacama leather cognac 6-speed Navi Xenon Everything else has the R anyway series. I have to say: a great car!!! The quality of the car tsanmutung no longer corresponds to that of the S80 from the year 2000. I still don’t want to make the S80 bad. He was my best car so far, which has reliably accompanied me over 5 years… Now I have to live with the fate of having an ‘unsuitable’ nickname. In any case I remain true to the forum and look forward to the further interesting conversation with you all….

  • XC 90 – Illumination and heating

Moin! Before I kill anyone there tomorrow on the occasion of my one-month workshop visit interval, someone might kindly explain the following circumstances to me: Away lighting The dark season begins and I think I remember that these lights went on automatically at the bottom of the outside mirror last winter when leaving the car and locked them out again. Unfortunately, TFM does not know any advice about this at all. How is that with you? Heating/climate With the dunk The cool season also begins, of course, and I wonder if the fact that the two middle emitters emit unequal amounts of air at different temperatures at the same set rotary regulators, is based on highly scientific, Volvo-specific warming parameters, or that the thing is just scrap, like so much about my car? In the summer, I didn’t notice it, but I didn’t come to it as often as I did in various spare weights. n was on the road… Maybe someone has an idea? The fact that the cruise cruise is simply gruesome during the ride is also to be taken from other contributions we should not actually be directly connected with the approaching winter… Sometime soon I drive the Sch….-karre into the sea… Gruss, Björn …for relevant information anyway (still) grateful!

  • V 70 Own forum ??

Hello guys ! What I’ve been pretty much on the cookie lately is that I have to deal with quite a lot of models in this forum, V 70, XC 70, V 60, S80 and XC 90 !! As the owner of a V 70 I have to look for a long time now until I get a topic relevant to me. I have the impression that XC 90 would need a forum of my own, but I don’t really know exactly how to send it to the moderators. m theme off, S 40 and V 50 finally have their own forum ! Best regards, keep racing !!

  • XC60: Questions about GSM telephone and front fog lamps

Hello XC60- Community, I hope someone can help me here. Who recently got an XC60 with fixed telephone system GSM? Background: I ordered an XC60 with this option in July. This one has been delivered now and I had the transfer date this week. When I was sitting in the car I missed the phone and asked where the phone was. There was no answer there. The vehicle was ordered via a leasing company and handed over the car. n; the responsible employees didn’t know VOLVO at all and I looked in questioning faces. Did anyone get this option recently and could possibly hire me a photo of what it looks like? I was actually now at 4 VOLVO edges and no seller could provide me with a picture of the handset described in the brochure, because this option is actually very rarely ordered, unfortunately also no image In the new documents with model year 2011 there is still the option VOLVO On Call with GSM telephone unit and also with telephone handset. Does someone, or still the one from model year 2010, have the possibility, because there was and there is probably also a telephone handset in the center console? By the way: When the XC60 stood there, there was also something funny: Somehow there were it was fog lights that I had seen at the dealer in the summer. Now the day before yesterday there were no more. It is about the variant D5 Summum. After a few web searches VOLVO seems in the new model year 2011 to build these probably no more. But somehow I will not get rid of the impression that this vehicle is a mix of 2 model years, outside MJ2011 without fog lights and inside MJ2010 with currently no longer available DVD-Navi and strangely missing GSM-Hö rer for the fixed phone in the middle armrest. I did not accept the vehicle and drove back home with my old leasing vehicle.

  • V60 heater and remote control

Hello together in my V60 a stand-up heating was installed on the factory side. ON / OFF over the BC works without any problems. Unfortunately it does not really work with the remote control. The flashes only green or red and nothing happens. I guess strongly that you have to resynchronize the remote control. In the operating direction it says that you have to pull the fuse or the cable to the receiver. The fuse is in the lower compartment in the fuse box and I don’t trust myself, resp. knows n I have the same problem or a tip for me? I don’t have time to go to the workshop for a quick ride to the friendly one next week. That’s why I’m asking here. Gruss Ritzji
