Hello Have a question what is the difference between the 2.0 Turo with 163 hp and the T4 with 200 hp. What I got. The 2.0T with 163 hp Has less charging pressure like the T4 Has a higher VP like the T4 The T4 with 200 hp Has more charging pressure like the 2.0 Turbo Has less compression like the 2.0 Turbo Are the pistons changed with the T4 engine, or does the T4 have a different cylinder head where the compaction space is larger? Does the T4 also have the variable camshaft adjustment? In the 2.0 Turbo just like I drive the charge pressure just screw up might not be so good…Because it’s already relatively high compacted. Because I’m getting ready for a fresh engine, and maybe you could build it in the direction of the T4 engine. The block is from the 2.0 Turbo. Find that a few horses are more, very welcome.. Would be nice if he had more than 210 – 220 hp.

Poles on the front axle
Hello, I have a poltern on the front axle for some time now. Since I believed it was the lower engine bearings I replaced them with new ones but nothing helped since the poltern is still present. I have already renewed the coupling bars and the crossbars. Now my guess: one of the two top engine bearings, dome bearings, shock absorbers or the rubbers from the stabilizer. The noise always occurs with small unevennesses on the road during insertion or suspension. Does one himself have experience with the problem or what is rather defective with the V40? My question is addressed to you since I do not know exactly how to make a diagnosis. The mileage is approx.141000km, so still within the frame.

Various error messages
Good morning everyone together, I’m a little helpless and therefore turn to you. Maybe someone has a solution for my problem… I’ve finally had my little dream at home for about a month now, a Volvo V50 T5 Kinetic (year 2004). I’m also (as expected) completely satisfied – until now. Since last week, however, various error/maintenance messages appear on the display. The whole thing started with “servo steering maintenance required.”. After a short consideration I pulled the ignition key and plugged in again, it went again. Then I thought still, can I let it go with when it comes to next week. Shortly afterwards the same again, however, every time without failure of the servo. 2 days later I got in and it came up with the message “Total failure brake system safely stop!”. Then there was nothing at all, neither leave anything else. After about 20 seconds without plugged in ignition key again, and it was as if I had been nothing. Since the brakes are changed from next week, I thought about the faultability, then ask again, thanks to all of you.

V50 2.0D DPF – how to detect the type of filter?
Hello Forum, we would like to see a V50 2.0 D with EZ 10/2005 next weekend. This is equipped with a DPF, but which was probably only standard in series from 01/2006. Before the closed system was already available on request. Is there an identification mark, whether it is the closed filter system ex factory or a maintenance-free retrofit filter, e.g. HJS or Twintec? I ask about the change interval of the factory filter after 6 years or 120k km, which I would like to check, it should be the factory system. I am thinking both about optical identification marks on the vehicle as well as those in the vehicle documents. Thank you for your answers!

V50 WATER comes from the ventilation!!
Hello everyone, have a wet / damp problem with my Volvo V50, model 06. He has now about 148tkm on the clock. To the problem:The right rear footroom is wet whip-patch. When you take out the floor mat, the water runs down like a water tap. The liquid comes from the ventilation, which is under the passenger seat and ensures the ventilation to the rear. When I set the blower on ́feet ventilate ́, the unwanted source bubbles. But also if I do not put on ́ventilation top and center ́ the water flows. Now I need your help! What could this be on? Have until January a car guarantee and the partly damage to the air conditioner: compressor, evaporator and condenser with fan. Hope it is a defective part of these or just a small thing. Thanks for your answers!

850 professional in the area Braunschweig??????
I think it happened! I had a hard time getting into a Volvo 850 2.5-10V. Year of construction 1996, 230,000 KM and pretty much rocked. So I’m sure I’ll need a lot of help to keep it alive. However, on a first short test drive, there were no serious deficiencies for me laymen to identify, only the track was not quite faithful and pulled a little to the right and the rear wiper is defective. Do you have a good tip to whom I can turn in the area of Braunschweig when my low technical skills and skills are exhausted? Find only Fränki Schmelzer in Braunschweig as a dealer, there are still good free people who know about the moose.

No more power after timing belt change
Hello together, I have the following problem and that: I changed the timing belt with my Volvo V40 1.8 today. I built everything apart and wanted to put the engine on OT. Then I turned the crankshaft and turned it on OT (The crankshaft) Look at the camshafts and notice that both camshafts do not cross with the Mackations… I then called in a workshop and I thought I should turn the engine on OT every time I did that… I built everything together and did a test drive…. I noticed that the Volvo has no full power anymore…. and the MIL lamp has arrived (The camshaft sensor is in the error memory!) Now I don’t think the control times are right anymore! (I checked the control times again! But the engine is 100& on OT!) And now I’m guessless…. Is there anything to do that??

XC90 T8 – Power loss electric motor
Hello! I have had my T8 (built in 2021) since September and during this time I had 2 times a noticeable power loss in pure mode, i.e. in pure electric drive. Both times it was a slope that can normally be driven without problems pure. Although I have climbed strongly on the accelerator pedal, the car has become slower and slower. 1x to a standstill, because I wanted to try what happened and the second time I finally started the burner by passing the gas pedal and solved the situation so. The first case was in September/October, so vmtl. somewhere at 15°C and yesterday it had about 0°C. Do you have an explanation or has someone like you already happened?

Luggage compartment protective blanket XC90
Hello together, …. for three days now the moose is finally (!) in front of the garage (because it doesn’t fit in ) and I’m thrilled! But more on occasion in the presentation thread… We have two dogs and therefore I got the original Volvo coffee room ceiling. Go up nice on the side and if necessary you can open the cut-out where the middle seat of the 2nd row is by zipper and use it to load through. Now I open the package and get the ceiling ‘out – nice with push buttons to fix it. Unfortunately in the trunk there are no counterpieces for the push buttons, but obviously you have to screw the enclosed parts into the rear side walls of the suitcase and the rear seats ??? Too bad i own it, because I wanted to do exactly the opposite with the ceiling and keep the “original condition” at least to some extent has one of you already installed this ceiling (or the push buttons) in the XC-90?
