  • Diesel particulate filter on the FK3?

Hello, my first topic here in the Hondaforum: Who is now familiar with the DPF? Currently there are three variants to my knowledge: 1) All previously delivered FK3 s do not have a DPF. 2) All ordered from March 2006 have the DPF in the trunk (and hopefully later with the customer fully functional under the car) 3) allegedly all installed the DPF ex factory from Feb 2007. Now the questions: a) is my summary correct? b) have the DPF delivered in the trunk(point 2) installed the same Effect like the ex factory? c) how can you see if you have a later built-in DPF? d) are FK3s without DPF threatened by fine dust driving bans? e) does the DPF take power away, or needs more fuel? When waiting for the Civic you already have his thoughts… Thanks already for your answers…

  • Civic no longer wants to 🙁

After my good EC8 ran almost 2 years without a breakdown, it happened again. All summer was nothing, and it hardly gets cold, the trouble starts. First (probably due to the cold) a sweat seam completely tears through the exhaust. After I had repaired the exhaust and had attached it, I wanted to start the car. But somehow he did not want to. He lined up and lined up, but didn’t jump on. Strangely, this didn’t sound like usual when he didn’t jump. The ignition time did not change it either, so I completely shut out the ignition. After I had taken out the candles after all the lyres, these deer were brown (means a good combustion) and also moist. It smelled like petrol from the cylinders. Therefore, I almost exclude a fuel supply problem, because the previous evening it also jumped in perfect (which also excludes a filter). B I still have the subject of air: I opened the air filter box yesterday and wanted to try it almost without a filter…then the battery was all that is currently charging. However, I don’t believe in an air problem. Where could I still look? Problem is: I have an unregulated EC8, so carburetor with manual choke…that’s always a bit difficult and fuzzy because of mixture overgreasing etc. I really hope that he’s just drunk off the engine….I just rock him Is there a hint that I could still look at? My love from DD…

  • Parkrempler

Last night I drove from the parking lot and with the door on the back right the bumper of another car was striped. First I had to circulate for a long time until I was out of the gap because I was parked (someone was standing behind me where there is no parking bottle so I almost didn’t get out backwards). Then there was still darkness and rain. Then when I was out and it was already standing it happened. I looked to the left if it fits there and easily got the car e The paint is not on my door but there is a solid strip of plastic hanging from the bumper on it. Looks like the plastic is vulcanized with my paint. With the fingernail I did not get it away so easily. I also have an elongated narrow dent of about 30 cm in length in the door. Depth approx. 1-3 cm. If one of you knows what it will cost in about that again. I’m going to have some pictures to follow soon. At first I didn’t think it would happen, I didn’t see anything in the dark. At home, however, I met with the beating. I called the police directly and described the thing so that I couldn’t get a hit on the driver’s run. Today, I have to peek at whom of my workmates is the other car. I’m sure he’s got a nice scratch on the car. he bumper. So what does it cost I have to calculate whether I’m paying for it all or not. How many percent do you actually rise with such a story? From now on I’m just parking where no other car can just squeeze across me cu Willy

  • Stable bulbs of new civic

Hello, I’m not quite sure if we didn’t have this minor topic before, but I don’t find anything about the search. Up to now, I always cared about yellow light, and also my xenons so I can see well and not make it look good. Nevertheless, I would like to invest a few Euros in other standing light bulbs because it would look better with pears that are a little bit more “Xenon like”. What kind of pears come in there at all? In the manual only 1 2V/5W, that’s great. I guess it’s got to be W5W pears, so glass base lamps, right? Has anyone built in other pears and just goes with the installation? What kind of pears did you use, what did you cost, where did you get them, and how satisfied are you with it? I don’t want LED lamps that are not approved. Is there any approved retrofitting LED stand light bulbs? So I’m actually looking for quite normal Stsendlichbirnen that go a little more towards Xenon. Greeting Joker

  • Power cables

  • buy eg3 with 148tkm?

Hello, I just looked at a Civic of 95 and think about buying the one on Saturday (from private). Is the noblesse variant, 75 hp, 2x airbag, sunroof, el.Fh, WFS, 1 registered previous owner (but not the seller) …. but already 150 tkm, allegedly almost only long distance and check booklet only up to 30tkm. Otherwise (for the layman) quite good together, exhaust looked relatively new and toothed belts at 100tkm changed. TÜV would have had it re-made. As price sets de I’d like to know what you think of it, especially of the mileage and the price. If I compare similar Civics with about 150tkm, it is in the upper midfield with 3000. And if you would buy a Civic with so much km, I want to drive around with it for a few more years. Thanks already for your opinions, 42

  • What’s your fuel?!

Ahoi, what kind of fuel do you need?? Normal? Super? Super Plus? And what kind of engines? I have 137hp 1.8 liters of DOHC V-Tec in my Accord and always refuels Super.. just filled up a filling Super Plus before – hardly any difference to notice. And what do such additives bring?? Are these oil and gasoline additives not only increasing the wear and tear? Or do they really bring in power/cleanness in the engine/quiet idleness?

  • Need tips from you! Race Honda CRX (EH6) against Peugeot 206 CC

Hello, soon a race is scheduled on a 500m long straight track between me and a friend. Now I still need tips and assessments from you (of course so that the CRX wins, of course :-)). 1) When is it advisable and optimal to switch? 2) What is it like when starting, which tactics (turn up, let the clutch snap gently or out of the speed cellar)? 3) CRX: 125 hp / 1100 kg / 1.6 l against 206 CC: 136 hp / 1220 kg / 2.0 l is that useful? Well, are there any 4) mmmhhhh. What else should I keep in mind? Greetings n-e-o2 P.S.: does any of you know anything about a CRX successor? Does Honda currently have something planned in the direction?

  • 1.4 Civic enormously high consumption!

Hello, I have a question about the consumption of a Civic. My mother drives a 99 Civic with just 27 000 km on the clock and complains about the incredibly high consumption. The car needs now in the winter around the 10 liters in the city traffic, but is completely correctly driven. Should not be called speed orgies or undertouring. The Civic is usually so moved in the range between 2000 -2500 upm. I can not explain the high consumption, I myself drive a 94iger Astra and move it mostly in the city or when I drive on the federal road, then usually with lead foot is driven. Even with my sprite-suspensive driving I never get 10 liters. I usually have 8,8-9,2 liters/100 km/h. Mine is also a 1.4er however with 60 hp. What use your Civic ́s so or is it just normal with Honda. I already heard, the Japanese are always a bit more agreeable. I drove today with the Civic and have me terrified when I looked at the tank indicator. 159 km and the tank indicator was shortly before “half empty”. The tank indicator is correct, because when you refuel the tank is really almost empty. Thanks already in advance. cu Steffen
