  • Honda with engine damage?

    Hi, who knows well with engines and specific engine noises? Our 94 Honda Concerto 1.6i with 112hp and around 140,000 km has the following problem: if it is cold, and only then, then a knocking or clacking from the engine compartment, which is not to be overheard by now, comes, actually, from the engine interior, I have been asked if I am not sure that this is not a diesel. Is as said only if it is cold and has been stopping for at least 20,000 km now, i It’s hard to describe the sound: a very fast, staccato-like, metallic (?) clacking or knocking.     Hello. I have a question and I hope you can help me there. And that’s because lately, when I gave gas or when I was standing there, I have always had such shuffling noises. My friend and I then looked and the top sheet of the cat was so loose that my friend could just take it off. My question now is: Does this sheet have a certain function?     Probably we are planning to buy the new CR-V (final price approx. 35500,- EUR).   • Winter experiences….

    Hello people, today we were finally able to start the winter full. I guess 30-40cm new snow. I had to travel a bigger track with my Civic FK3 today (about 300km). snowy highway, country road, deep snow, everything was there. On the A9 münchen-berlin was over 20km of traffic, full chaos and so I am then off the AB. I have the dunlop winter sport 3D on it and I am more than satisfied with the mature. I can’t say for sure if they are extremely better than my previous mature, but worse, they are not in any case. To VSA: the anti-slip control works perfectly. I simply drove up every steep mountain perfectly with full gas. The stability program, however, makes me worry. either it intervenes very, very late or I was not yet busy enough on the road. 🙂 the flashing warning light in the cockpit unfortunately does not reveal clearly whether ESP intervenes or ASR. my impression today was always that the light because of the slip – control flashes. I didn’t want to bring my new car into the border area for ESP during a snowstorm. I will test all the electronics exactly on an old huge parking lot near me. then it will show when definitely the stability program intervenes. has anyone else already had experiences with the driving aids? mfg

  • Civic FK 1

    Hello, I actually bought the new FK1 as a second car, therefore with the weak motorization. But now I have found such fun on the car that my A3 Sprotback 140 HP does not want to drive anymore. Now of course I have the problem of weak motorization and ask here for help with the clarification of the alternatives: 1. Tuning the 1.4 engine up to 100 HP (would suffice for my requirements). Is it possible at all ? With what effort ? Where can I start my search n ? 2. Selling the car and buying new FK2. Probably the most expensive variant. Although my FK1 has only driven 2000 km, my dealer offers me a totally ridiculous price. 3. Replacement engine: 3.1 With 1.8 VTEC. Could someone give me an idea what such a thing could cost? 3.2 Wait until the 1.6 petroler appears (my dealer thinks he will come out this year) and then exchange it.   • Shock absorber FK-models

    I have now used my new FK 3 for 1600 km and had to go to the workshop for the first time because of various problems. I also have the tank cover problem, which is suffering in this forum, which is surely now known by every FK driver. Furthermore, my automatic climate control blows immediately full pull when setting AUTO after the cold start, although it should only blow more air into the interior when warm air is available. So it is at least noted in the manual. However, I discovered a defect more or less by chance. I had looked at the course of the exhaust system for the sake of interest and discovered that the shock absorber at the rear is losing oil on the right. Maybe you can also look at your vehicles if this is okay. When I came to the workshop with this diagnosis it immediately sounded to me that this could not be. Small sound, however, was admitted that I was right. Of course, in the next few days everything will be repaired or replaced on warranty.

  • Satisfaction with FK

    So now I get a word because here in the forum was written times that those who have no problems with the FK hardly report. I drive an FK 1 in Vivid Blue Pearl paintwork and have 12000 km on the tacho. I have no flap in the tacho area also none at the belt locks. The paint is perfect (Nano sealed). The consumption is awesome, when I got my car in August I set the climate on automatic and on 22C° one where it is now also standing and I d I had a range of 760 km Tankte 44.6 liters according to a consumption of about 5.9 liters. The rain sensor is perfect the light sensor was glued off at my request when buying and works perfectly. The engine power is after 12000km OK and sufficient what makes both insurance here in Austria noticeable only the tank cover was changed but the heard I had to refit a cruiser which unfortunately is not part of the FK1 sport, but which works wonderfully and without any problem. I am also very satisfied with my workshop, all parts that were removed at the tank tank mounting fit exactly as I bought the car, nothing was damaged and after the inspections the car has always been cleaned (without extra charge). peace of the merchants arise.
