Hello My V50 D5, year 2006, 290tkm, does not start. It makes the typical noise, as if the battery is empty. Just clack. So far everything works. Got new battery, 85Ah. Original is an 80Ah inside. With starting aid it is the same. I only noticed that it starts when the cable clips are removed, a spark happens, it starts. If it runs, everything is ok. As it looks, the alternator does not load either. 45 min drive, the battery is also not full. Charger directly on the car, battery full, just clack. If I read a lot here, might help: Stronger battery or starter. What do you think?

C30 Jumps super bad 🙁
Hello dear friends of the Schwedenstahls, I have had a Volvo c30 with the 2.0D (D4204T 136ps) for quite a long time now, there have never been any problems, but now it drives me crazy. The following problem exists. The car jumps when it is cold ultra bad, and a white cloud from the exhaust, which is more reminiscent of a power plant than of a pkw. As soon as the car is warm it runs perfectly. Cool water consumption does not have it. This problem, however, is only recently, to the fore eschichte: Some time ago I had a classic diesel “Runaway” but I checked directly and strangled the car immediately. Now I like to drive the car, the turbo as well as the injection nozzles renewed, in the same train also directly oil, glowing candles etc… after I removed the complete turboprint side from the oil and put everything together, the car ran like on the first day, just gorgeous. But now 4 weeks later the dog hardly jumps in the morning, only under torture. And he sometimes jerks at constant speed. In addition, I noticed that on the line which goes from the crafstilter to the hd pump small air bubbles could have something to do with it? I am looking forward to your answer, And apologize for the long text. But I always say to myself the more eloquent one describes his problem the better one can get answers

Comparison XC70 – XC 90 searched
Moin, I am more than satisfied with my V70 D5 EZ 02. Now the little one has 260 tkm down. If at some point he should make some quirks (fast knocking on wood) I play with the idea to switch to the XC area. On the one hand we are traveling at least 2 times a year in Finland, of course there also on forest roads, on the other hand I like to go on holiday also to the east (Russia, Balkans). So XC would be good. The SuFu gave me not the right result. Therefore my question to the municipality should I switch directly to the XC90 when the time has come, or does that make much less sense and the XC 70 II (the new one I just don’t think is so nice anymore!) is enough? I would like to add the following points: For the XC90 speaks: In my UAZ I find the increased sitting position not bad. For the XC70 speaks: Lower fuel consumption Perhaps less interest for theft in Eastern Europe ??? Currently we are still two – so 7 seats is not necessary for a long time. I find that the XC90 doesn’t look as deep in the luggage compartment as the V70. Is that really just a delusion? Greeting Thomas – who doesn’t need the decision today, but would like to know what would be if …

Test air conditioning?
Hello…. in my V70/2 D5 MJ06 bought on May 28th, apparently the air conditioning does not work ….. So far I did not really have to use it.. At the WE it would have done already. Despite temperature control at 18° C (for testing) and otherwise ventilation everything on car came only the same air temperature from the ventilation openings when the air conditioning is switched off. I bought the car from a dealer at 350 km distance.. 1 year warranty and warranty. I So to my local, which according to hearsays I guess so that he says without examination “Well sure there is something broken…!” 😉 I just want to avoid that I do something operatingly wrong and then pushed the big wave…. (i.e. contact to the seller/guarantor etc.)… Can you test anything about this? Greeting, Gosar

Buying a V70!!! urgently needs help!!!
Hello dear elk community, so my girlfriend and I are looking for a combi up to 10000euro. due to my positive experiences with the brand volvo (I drove a baby elk the s40 with 1.6l for 2 years) and the very good image of the brand volvo we decided to buy a volvo insb for the winter! Besides there are still the Mazda 6 and the opel signum and a V40 to choose from. now I have discovered a v70 construction year 2001, so shcon phase 2 for 8900euro. he has 82000km gel he has the 2,4l engine with 140ps. what can you say to the car and in particular to the engine? what weak spots does he have and can one buy the still bedenklos. at the various car exchanges we have also seen many interesting diesels in the price segment, which however have around 150000km on the clock… can one also diesel diesels buy relatively mindless despite the high running power? and which motors are generally better at the v70? the gasolines in the with 140ps or the diesel? What do I have to pay attention to when buying? best greetings and thanks for your help silo ps. the elk we’re looking for still has the original cassette radio from volvo in it, can you have it relatively easy and without ugly holes rim amturenbrett permanently nen cd radio install or there are problems, since I see how big the radio with hook in the amaturenbrett is?

Reverse rolling on the slope despite automatic?
Moinsen together! So, the S80 is still satisfactory so far, but I noticed something last time…: When driving in a car park I had to stop on a ramp (shout upwards). After releasing the foot brake the car rolled backwards. With my previous driving experience with Volvo vending machines, they did not roll backwards, but stayed on the spot, partly they still crawled up the slope (e.g. AW30-43LE with B6304F in 960). Okay, I don’t know which car now! Is that normal? If so, I think it’s a little weak of Volvo… Was it always so nice to take the feet off the gas on the slope for a short time with the engine running and the driving stage in place and just hold the car with the automatic…

V70/S60 Ø discount for used cars between MY06 and MY07
Moin, Sufu “Used car and discount” was unsuccessful, therefore a new topic. From the subject the question already emerges. What discount can one achieve with skilful negotiations with a V70 or S60 from the MY06 and MY07? The edge parameters: either D5 and between 30 and 60TKM and the gasoline rivals like 2.5T, T5 and R with the same KM stand, all fully loaded as possible? Can one, according to your experience, missing / deviating features like e.g. gearbox, missing PDC, missing Sliding roof, bright leather or similar for negotiation? How many % can one currently negotiate at prices of e.g. 24000 or 28000 €? BG Sascha

Which xenon light source? (XC60 MJ 12)
Hello together, last night my first xenon light bulb burned through me at all. He then told me this morning that a new bulb should cost 108(!!!) Euro.Friendly with installation… After that I found it rather Now I informed myself and saw that the bulbs are much cheaper to get. After a short discussion with the workshop I was assured that I would buy something myself and then be used. Two new burners are then imm It is even cheaper than one from the workshop. I have read that you should use lamps from OSRAM in the meantime. With others there seems to be problems with the size. And that you can exchange the same two since the lamps probably age quite strongly and you will see a clear difference. Only I am unwise which I should take. OSRAM Xenarc Original (type 66140) seems to be what Volvo itself installs, but is somehow like 08/15, but 4 years guarantee ie. OSRAM Xenarc Cool Blue Intense (type 66140CBI) has a blue shimmer and according to the description “up to” 20% more light yield. But as I have seen this should make the whole in wet road, rain or fog rather negatively noticeable because a lot of light is swallowed. So then probably rather 20% less than more. OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited (type 66140XNB) should deliver 70% more light and is probably the top model. Somewhere I had read that the light color not so to ll is supposed to be and together with the H9 main beam (what is this actually installed for, I thought this is Bi-Xenon?) rather irritating. OSRAM Xencarc Ultra Life (type 66140ULT) seems to be like the original, but should hold much longer and have 10 years warranty. I did not find any real information about this. Since I found rather no experiences of Volvo drivers (or even XC60ers) I wanted to ask here directly what you recommend or what it looks like with experiences. Personally, the “blue” will probably fall out, unless someone convinces me. Imagine that they will look quite “advanced” but outweigh the disadvantages. Currently, I actually tend to the Xenarc Original or the Long Life because I ALWAYS drive with light and am not sure if the (alleged) color difference in the Night Breaker doesn’t go on the cookie.

Very strong engine oil loss in the Volvo V70
Hello! I have a problem with my Volvo V70 BJ 1999, petrol with manual transmission: It consumes since the newest 1/2 liter engine oil on approx. 100km. In the workshop they had the suspicion that the engine burns the oil because they can not see that it flows out somewhere. After measuring the exhaust gas values and other clues (like no blue smoke) they told me now, however, that it looks like the engine is fine. We are now making an oil change and driving d ann for diagnostic purposes 300 to 1,000 km with a lot of oil in my luggage to see how fast it goes away. Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Has anyone had similar experiences? All in all, this sounds pretty bad (and pretty expensive for me). Unfortunately, I’m not a car expert at all and hope to get advice from some of them! Thank you!!!! Linda PS: Maybe I should say that the workshop also found out that a Simmring (?) on the gearbox Because the car also loses transmission oil, and the hoses of the crankcase ventilation are porous. However, I understood them in such a way that these are no reasons for the strong engine oil loss.
