Hey guys, are just on the highway and my wife is driving. Doesn’t happen so often that I sit right. Now I noticed that it’s cold in the passenger footroom. Even if the heater is on max.. Hot air comes from the nozzle, but if I continue the paneling towards the splash screen button, the cold air comes from there. I can feel something like a pipe or panel. Is such a problem known? Where does the cold train come from? Thanks Janko

Climate control panel aperture V70
Hello, I recently purchased a V70 TDI BJ 99, on which the center console was completely removed and made of wood an aperture for an ipad. Now, of course, I want to rebuild this and need the necessary parts. My question is this, can you change the air conditioning unit for the other one? There are apparently two different user parts for the V70. One with slider for the ventilation and one with rotary regulator. Have attached pictures.

Request for assessment: XC90 D5 OR
A cheerful moooin from the neighboring forum! My senior is a bit bored after 25 years Audi from the brand and, after licking my V70 blood, shot himself on Volvo as next car. It is to be either an XC90 or XC70 III. I ask for your assessment of this XC90, which he has tested today and was quite pleased with. The car appears harmonious, has a decent equipment and the attractive Ocean Race variant, but I find the price approx. 2000 Eur o too high. For the amount you get also almost a more modern XC70 III with similar km-performance and EZ. What do you think?

S60 T5 for XC70 D5 Swap? Your opinions
Hi guys, it’s been a long time since I showed up here actively… My S60 T5 has been registered since March and “boring” itself. The reason for this is the purchase of a Z4M roadster for the summer. The idea was to operate the S60 as a winter vehicle. But now it’s the case that a combination would be practical, especially with regard to the transport of our dog, holidays, etc.. My wife’s BMW 1 is just a small car. Since we are quite nature-loving, it would be nice if they had an o o the other meadow or dirt road would not be considered an obstacle, the idea came to me to exchange the S60 for an XC70. Since I am already well equipped for speed excesses and fuel will not be cheaper I think a diesel would be a good choice. So I come to the XC70 D5. What do you think about it? Are there factors that I should take into account? What is “good” for the XC70 i.V.? Thanks in advance! Thomas P.S.: If someone is interested in an S60 T5 an ice blue metallic… PM

Volvo C70, low oil pressure warning light
Hello together, the ‘low oil pressure’ warning light started to glow yesterday. I would like to ask you what this can mean in concrete terms? Here are some photos to verify my problem. I thought about too little oil at first. The oil level was a little low but not worryingly low. I have been driving 30 kilometers since then and would have to drive about 90 kilometers to my home tomorrow. Is that realistic? I am still a little inexperienced with cars and I can’t find a car. it imagining what else can be a reason for too little oil pressure except that there might be a lack of oil. Is there such a thing as an oil pump and does it no longer work properly? Would I be very happy about suggestions for solutions, tips and reviews.

V70R remote control away Safelock activated
Servus friends, I would like to buy a 1996 “R”. Automatic. The seller has decommissioned the remote control. Now safelock is activated and you only come in through the trunk. Car starts and drives. All 4 doors can not be opened from the inside or from the outside. Not electric and not mechanical. (door handles do not work. Switch ZV does not work) The remote control seems hopeless. Who knows remedy? How can I get the doors open? The whole one bit with Zei tdruck. I want to pick up the car Saturday. And yes: it’s a R And yes: there’s safelock And no: I’m not in front of the car right now I’m looking forward to your constructive suggestions and help offers Gruss Matthias

Rust!
Hello Forumsfreunde, I have an XC 60 Bj 2011. Due to a rust-colored track from the right front wheel to the split fender/passenger door I look at the wheelrails in front more closely today and I think a horse: about 10 cm above the thresholdrs rust in identical place the front fenders. M.E. not due to external damage by stone impact, but from the inside, the paint throws really popping scar-like bubbles. Now I have a 12-year guarantee against rusting, b fearful but discussions, whether it is one or not. What do you mean, is the case clear? Has someone experienced similar things already? 8 years! My Opel wasn’t that bad at the time, and my Volvos wasn’t that bad before.

Purchase advice 2.5T (AWD) or T5 Facelift Handswitch or Geartronic
Hello, short to my previous story: After an Audi A6 2.7 V6 Biturbo hand switch Quattro I drove a V70 D5 hand switch Facelift. Since my work path amounts to only 3km (mountainy) I am again looking for a petrol engine. This work path is also covered in good weather rather by bike or on foot. As a driver type I would say Normal but I like to overtake reserves. My AB speed is usually so at 150-180 if the traffic allows. Just the short distances to work are a bit of a concern. I have already read through a few threads. Therefore, for me it is already answered that it should become one of the models mentioned in the title. Only the decision is missing which exactly. My annual driving performance amounts to about 15-17tkm from time to time with about 1t on the hook (only on fixed paths). First decision automatic or hand switch? I Although they like to drive automatics, Audi has not had a good long-term experience with the ZF Tiptronic. The problems started at 160tkm. Despite transmission oil changes at 100tkm You can hear many different opinions about the Volvo automatics. From (to) weakly designed to last forever. Are there different transmissions here? Which are recommended. On the subject of AWD one hears about problems with the angle transmission. This is increasingly the case with the XC90. And with the V70 from the facelift probably an e Reinforced version should be installed. Does this apply or should one rather keep distance from the AWD if in case of doubt if not necessarily felt necessary? Since we still have a 09 Focus ST in the family I can say that I actually get quite well with this despite pure front drive. With the engine I have read that the 2.5T probably has some thin cylinder walls and there are sometimes thermal problems. Is the T5 of the durability the advantage to grant? e question about the AWD. Or is there the high pressure turbo more susceptible again. Since I had various problems with oil leaks with the A6 the question is there well-known problems with the above mentioned engines? In addition I could not find much in the forum fortunately except with the diesel. Ne VDD or so I don’t care however, for example at a place for which to decompose the half engine for gasket change I would like to avoid. But I hope you can help me make the decision.

Tyres with one or more of the following characteristics:
Hello together ! I recently opened a thread here because of rubbing brakes. I was now at the tyre dealer and had winter tires made on it. The tyre dealer was surprised about the condition of the tires, because they have driven on the flanks very strongly one-sided (see photos). Do you have such a thing in the strength too ? I really drive “normal”, i.e. I do not fly through the curves etc. which would lead very much to wear. (but without the summer tires, only the winter tires were raised), but because of the rubbing tires. Of course, he could not find out anything about the brakes. I also addressed him to the single-wheeled tires. His lapidary answer: the track is distorted, no guarantee, my problem. But I should also bring the summer tires with me, so that he can see this. Ok, no problem I thought, and am to my tyre dealer around the stored summer tires z When we looked at the tyres at the tyre dealer again, the tyre owner once again said that this tire wear at 10000 km of driving performance is really not normal. But then the best thing: on the left front tire you can see a notch on the tread (inside) ! Only left, on the right tire is nothing to see. So the tire grinds against somewhere …. Ok, I thought, is probably something about my car. As the coincidence however, at the tyre dealer stood still at the door an S40 (same engine, exactly the same summer tires, Conti Premium Contact). Together with the tyre dealer I also looked at this vehicle again. And the result ? Also such heavily worn out summer tires and also front left in the tire a notch! Can you see with your tires also often, whether you also have this ? construction error ? I don’t really like it so trusting that the tire at the front left grinds ! And above all I would like now from the Volvo dealer d I would like to have 2 new tires ! After all, the car definitely did something with the tire ! I post here a few photos of the tires, please see if this is also so with you . Thanks and greeting P.S. : Here picture summer soaps front left with notch
