  • Good cold start, but in warm condition collapse of idle, stuttering

Hello forum! I’m new here, have been driving my beloved 850er (2.5 10V 144PS 1995) I left the Volvo while I was on vacation at a workshop to do an oil change etc. and after 3 weeks the car was turned on. He jumped out of the exhaust under strong oil smoke development (blue smoke), which only got a bit after several hundred meters of drive. The spark plugs were removed, but they look OK. However, various ignition cables are installed, some of which obviously fire through. The next day with new ignition cables, the Volvo drove without complaints. The cold start was also OK, from the already discussed smoke development at the beginning off After the short stop, now with a warm engine, it did not jump on, only some misfires took place. In addition, the starter repeatedly stopped, or turned freely without moving into the starter wreath. After several efforts, the workshop did not manage to keep my Volvo running permanently. Symptoms: good cold start and even engine run, with operating temperature collapse of the idle, no more gas acceptance possible, starter sets out Last the Nock had The exchange of the sensor for the intake air did not work. Since the Volvo is not readable via the diagnostic box and the stochering in the fog is ineffective, I had to pick up the car occasionally. Money paid and the problems are still there. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could the control unit be broken? This is not often broken. Is this a cable break? Lawnmower syndrome? Chassis number: YV1LW 5102 S2119 xxx The symbol for the motor electronics does not light up when the vehicle is started. Maybe that was the previous owner and knew about the electronic problem? What do you do in such cases? Replace the wire harness? New control unit? or can it be only a small thing and I have to find someone who can handle the flashbox. I have spent a lot of money already and must probably overtake the engine or change the oil trap soon. Maybe spray the diagnostic box with contact spray? Best regards from Berlin and thank you in advance!!! Louis

  • Can all V70 actually fold the front seats forward?

Hy, when were the Volvos able to move the front seats forward? Can all V70s do this, and could this already be the 850s? Maybe many don’t even know that it works. I thought this was good for years. 3m parts no problem, seats in the back & in the front & finished. Unfortunately, there are no such developers today anymore…. The only car that had something similar was the old Panda, since you could take the seats with a handle, or turn them around. lg Jerry

  • Lamps / pears passing beam driving beam Volvo 850

Hello, I bought my 850 Volvo EZ 96 and he already had a Xenon light change / retrofitting which I naturally enjoyed. Now the Tüv has criticized this as not allowed light source and I have to equip it back. Question is it actually so the passing light and driving light both has the same bulbs H1 12/55W? My predecessor 850 iger still had the H4 bulbs.

  • Regeneration DPF

Hello! Quick question: Do you get it (e.g. through display/light in the instrument cluster) if the DPF is to be regenerated, in order to drive a slightly longer distance (20/30km) if necessary, or does the car fall into the emergency run relatively suddenly/surprisingly – if the DPF is closed – and then you have to go in the emergency run into the contract workshop for regeneration there? Thank you.

  • Bye Volvo

After years of driving my Xc60 I have now made the jump. After 60tsd km engine change after 65 tsd km gear change both fortunately with warranty. Now with 175 started again the gearbox to hook. Like the first time. Real if you can’t build it or not buy it. I have now decided for the second because Volvo has become exorbitant to me now, and I especially got to know the quality. Bye Volvo Group hello bay In the case of motor vehicles, this is the case in the case of motor vehicles.

  • for the x-th time: MP3 to HU-XXX

Hello together. I wanted to warm up the thread about MP3 player instead of changer at HU-603http://www.motor-talk.de/showthread.php?… where it was abruptly and probably unsuccessfully canceled. The state of affairs was that an external MP3 player should be connected as an alternative to zm Volvo CD changer. This should work after playing a software that normally only uses the changer. Is it now correct that the recording of the software makes it possible to select the changer as a source on the radio? This does not appear as a source without playing the software as a possible source at all? In my case I can choose the missing changer. So can I assume that there was a changer in my case? And I am one step further? Where is the original changer normally installed? Maybe even that’s still the case. and one of you would just have to sell me the matching changer until the MP3 alternative works.

  • What wipers?

Hello together I wanted to buy new disk wipes for my V70 Mod 06 today. According to the brochure, there are 966S from Bosch, but according to the seller (ATU) there are not yet to buy Are there good and clever, or do I have to take originals from Volvo? Greeting Oliver

  • Experience with used car guarantees

Hello together! I got a used car warranty from MultiPart for free for my used S60. Now I have the problem, the actually natural things, such as a defective climate sensor are not paid. What experiences did you have with such warranty insurances? At the moment I am actually quite annoyed by the topic. This guarantee is for the most part eye-wishing… Is there any experience with the providers? Mfg Stephan

  • Retrofitted ISOFIX, then only Volvo seats can be used?

Hello everyone, I want to upgrade with my elk Isofix. • the ipod and the volvo and the USASpec PA11-VOL

I know, I know, there are already a thousand threads to the ipod, but the search revealed no match for the USASpec PA11-VOL adapter, which I recently stumbled over in the net. he promises in contrast to the original volvo part the possibility to also select via the ipod music. since I have no desire to hear only playlists or to create them, this is an attractive alternative. But does my HU603 have such a DIN plug-like connection? if yes, the installation is probably around a niges simpler than that of the volvo-variant, then I only have to take out the radio, plus and mass and connect the plug and not immediately disassemble half the car. and the former will probably still manage my left hands. so, does someone have experience with the PA11-VOL? thank you already in advance of the christian who is tired of his adapter cassette and wants to fire the itrip on long distances preferably from the window
