Hi, I’m looking for a used family coach. So far I drive a Opel Zafira but I want to get rid of it (never again Opel)… Now I have found an XC70 that also looks solid. Test drive has already happened with all repairs I land at 800€ at the end of the purchase. The data: XC70 Bj04 with 2.5T 210PS automatic 140000km partial leather climate seat heater Now I have something to consider, since the car is already 10years old. Hlechte experiences with rust made and wants to avoid this such a timely appearance. What is under the plastic cladding I unfortunately could not see, there are experience values at the XC70s there? Also I do not know if the automatic is so problem-free with such a mileage? I know the comparison limps something, but if I see that you get some new Skoda Octavias for 1600€, am I not sure if the invoice will open permanently? I hope you can help me something Thanks un Greetings!

Rear flap flaps… adjust “straffer”?
Moin an alle V70I, Bj 00, 170PS I’ve been having a flap in the area of the tailgate for quite some time. This is not the famous flapping of the interior panel. Thanks to the very good contributions here, this is now mounted bomb-proof. The flap comes from the, in driving direction right lower corner of the tailgate. I have had the panel already off, but could not find anything that could clap. It also sounds as if the flap hits the frame (be that as The seals are all fine but already 16 years old. Can you possibly change the tension of the tailgate so that it sits tighter in the lock? And if so how does it work. Maybe I can get on the trail of the flap. Thank you for your help.

DPF regenerates very often and additive tank since 50,000km still 15/15???!!!
Hello. I have a theoretical problem. In practice, the 1.6 V50 2010 eDrive runs perfectly. The following: The DPF regenerates about every 40-60km, no matter whether on the train or in urban traffic. Must be statically regenerated. With success. Before that a liter of oil was extracted because above the maximum. After that 3 liters of fresh oil filled up. Additive tank we also wanted to fill up but shortly after the Volvo mechanic scared the Eloy came additive out of the overflow hose. After 50.00 0km since the last replenishment?? How can this be? Pump has been controlled and has also given a “surrender” sign of life! DDS and hoses are only 50,000km old. Only the code p2458 (reg. duration) is deposited from time to time. I always try to close an active reg. and therefore always take further kilometers in purchase. As good as possible. Volvo says all this is supposed to be i.O although the full tank does not seem plausible. DPF is also good in juice.Ke In exchange. Would be even more beautiful, after only 50,000km. Only why does the tank content not get less and why does the DPF regenerate so often? I guess this is caused by a leak in the intake tract too much soot. Only where do I start with the search? Around the turbo are heavy oil deposits. Currently 160,000km run, DPF and DDS updated on time at 119.000! Full power, pulls very well up to 170km/h,then logically it lasts until it cracks the 200 Especially the full tank makes mi ch stutzig. Vlt. has someone a tip!!! Lg David

V50 d5 start problems
Hello together Have a problem with my 2008 v50 d5 If it’s a bit colder out in the morning he makes funny noises at the start. I always wait until all the lamps are extinguished then I start. It jumps directly on but stays at 400 -600 revolutions hang for 3-4 sec and you hear a noise or rattles. Then the rev indicator fastens briefly up to 1000 and commutes at 800 – 900 revolutions. In the 3-4 sec where it hangs it also does not react to gas.

XC60 oil change after 5 TKM ?
Hello Fan municipality, 4 weeks ago I received my first XC 60 2,0 Diesel 8 gear automatic. I am so far ( 4 TkM) very happy and do not miss the all-wheel. Now a question: The dealer has advised me to make an oil change after about 5 Tkm. Meaningful or just good for the workshop. Thanks for your opinion and already a nice weekend.

Horror accident V60
Today in MV a bad accident happened with a V60. Apparently frontal collision with trucks. So as far as the devastating consequences for the Volvo occupants are concerned, besides human suffering, this is a poverty test for Volvo. This has little to do with the brand’s security promise and the crash test promise in reality.

Original tailpipe searched
Hello in the round! I’m sorry! Unfortunately, I can’t find the original tailpipe anymore. Not in the net, Skandix or in the friendly one. Now mine looks bad. It’s so important to me that the car is original, but all I get is either single-walled, cheap, too proud, or all together. The tailpipe is, to my knowledge, about 50 euros. Right? So, who else has something in the basement? Original, folded, top in shot…. Doesn’t come to me with the 100 oven pipes i m Style of Honda CRX….that doesn’t deserve a Volvo… Thank you for helping Addendum: Thanks for the hint, reward I’ve removed…right, right, you help yourself. Thank you.

New used V60! D2 or D3?
Hello! I’m just a hard-working reader, but now it’s time for an article. I’ve been a Volvo fan for a little while – family reasons! I’m currently driving a C30 and I’d like to enlarge. Next I want a V60! I’ve got 2 variants in mind: 1. either a D2 2 or a D3 My budget is up to max. 10,000.-. I drive a lot of highway and therefore a diesel is indispensable. In my budget the Volvos already have approx. 100,000km to 140,000km The equipment is not very important to me. Only sitting heating would be wonderful! I know that the D2 is not the most powerful (have the engine in my C30 and Mama in her v50). In theory, however, it would be sufficient. I have read many articles on the topic of D2 and D3. My question is now – which engine is theoretically the longer life – D2 or D3? And switch or automatic? I look forward to your answers! LG from Cologne!
