Hello, I’m just about to pick up a commercial car and as an old Volvo fan with two children I would like to take a V70. The problem is: Only the no diesel (92kW) fits into the budget. What are your experiences? Is the engine power enough for such a heavy car? I drove both an XC90 and an XC70 as a D5 with Automatic – of course, they were great, but not really comparable. I also had an E-Class (E200 CDI) with 122hp. At the moment I drive a V40 with 122hp (petrol) – normally the performance is enough for me. Although I like to drive fast. Does someone have the comparison to the V50 2.0D? In advance thank you for your tips.

V70 D5: 215/55 R16 or 205/55 R16 ?
Hello, I got a few offers for winter tyres today (yes, I know I’m very early on). Almost everywhere the same (expert) opinion: Take the 205/55/R16, which are up to 50 EUR cheaper per tire and in winter anyway better to drive. At the moment I have 215/55/R16 on it as summer tyres. What would you recommend? I like the wider flaps already better but if the 205 are not only cheaper but also even safer … thank you for any opinion, greeting Jan

Oil loss oil tank/gear …. where can this come from and what can I do ?
I have a problem with my Volvo V70I 2.5 106kw/144ps. And I lose quite a lot of oil. To a certain extent this was due to a defective hose of the crankcase ventilation. However, it is repaired. now I cleaned everything from below and looked at where the rest of the oil comes from. The identified place is when you are under the car in the seam between the oil tank and transmission. I actually wanted to dismantle the oil tank to give me a better practice. However, I had not got an oil tank seal and now I have to drive again urgently today. But will the tub remove the days and have a look. Now to my question: Has someone had something similar before? What does it look like when I took off the tub? Is there possibly a gasket that I can simply renew? Can someone help me with suggestions? Please No Job messages I thank you already and add here some photos of the said place .

Gas pressure damper tailgate / light bulb
mealtime, I would like to have new dampers for the back flap of my C70, mine have become extremely difficult with the old. now almost the blow hit me when I found out the price for it: sporty 50€ per piece, and that itself about ft-albert, since also for him only original to refer. 100€ for 2 gas dampers forbids me my certain. at ebay you will find about 30€ for the couple. but: do the what? and: are installed in the S and V the same dampers as at C? the lower part of the con. construction of the rear parts negates that, or am I mistaken? and something else: I have now lost the first bulb in a switch on the a-board, over ft costs a 5€. you get the somewhere cheaper (conrad or something?!) and I can change all, or do I have to pay 5€/pcs and buy only one? mfg

USB stick play order with audiobook wrong
Good day, I’m new to the forum because I bought a Volvo for the first time. I have the radio system High Performance with USB port in the C70. First I had to try some USB sticks, until finally one without problems plays mp3 files. Herzu I found a lot. It seems to be a general problem. But I have another problem with the USB port and a stick: On my often long journeys I like listening to audio books. Therefore I have a few on the stick The directories are audiobookname>directory CD1, CD2, CD3 etc. The files are also ordered: 01name.mp3, 02name.mp3 03name.mp3 etc. Random is not active; so it is disabled. Nevertheless, when inserting the stick, the directories and files are not read in the order of names. For example CD5, CD3, CD6, CD1, CD2 etc. This does not play the individual MP3 files in the desired order. I don’t care about music files; only one audiobook leaves s I don’t enjoy it that way. The order has to be adhered to here. Now my questions: Does anyone have a similar problem? What is the solution? Can the data be rereaded in the settings and then the order can be determined? Is it possible to sort afterwards? With friendly greeting arches7

BLIS maintenance required
Hello, I drive a Volvo C30 D2 with a very good equipment: BLIS, Xenon, heater, rain sensor, digital compass etc. I have the following phenomenon: The on-board computer reports “BLIS maintenance required”. But the system works. If you switch it off manually and on again, the message is immediately back. Lens etc. is clean. If you read out the error memory (while the engine is still running and the message is in the display), there is NOTHING in it. Sometimes the message is gone after a engine restart, sometimes it stays on for several hours. Since the error is TÜV-relevant (now), I don’t think it’s funny to get this message. Previous troubleshooting and parts replacement (lens heating checked, complete mirror electronics exchanged) didn’t work. Is there anyone with the same problem and was there a solution? Thank you.

Timing belt changes?!
Hello! A short question to the experts… A friend from Norway has an S80 2.0T (model year 2000, turbo-petrol with 180hp) and is coming to visit his parents here in Tyskland soon… He is usefully trying to combine this with the inspection of the elk, which is probably due for inspection book at 150,000km and here is cheaper than in the far north (I also suspect that the Volvo dealer there does not know him at all, since he always has his work done here… a 1100km back and forth to my gas retrofitter, even if there is nothing and he does so with the normal inspections… ). Now it probably also says in the same booklet that the timing belt should be changed at 160,000km… If he would rarely go to Germany, he would have everything done in one go anyway… But he is here in the fall anyway and therefore the question is: is the change of the timing belt really considered at 160,000km (and therefore detached from d he inspection), or did he read something wrong. He now also thinks about having the inspection done at 160,000km (10,000km more make the cabbage not fat and he doesn’t drive so much)… Bye, Dirk (who is wondering when his own moose actually wants/must?!)

Charging air coolers
Hello dear Elche community, my charging air cooler from the Volvo V70 D5 (bj.2002) licks. If someone has an idea or possibly another one lying or knows where I get a cheap one except with the friendly one. Because he really wants to see Taler for it. Should mention that the performance is no longer 163 hp but now 193 hp. Mfg of the Ednobommel
