  • Differences in axles V70I AWD

    Hello dear V70i Allradgemeinde, next weekend I have to drive professionally across Germany and have the opportunity for my 1997 AWD 2.5T 193 PS 9101-761 Handschalter some parts cheaply as a stock replacement “to take away”. Since the corresponding sellers are however not able to write off a part number, here my questions: 1) Are there different drive shafts in the rear or are the in the AWD row all the same ? 2) Are there different visco couplings in the back in the gle housing ? housing up to approx. 2-1998 ?   • Door lock causes problems V70 III 2011

    Moin Got a problem with my driver’s door. Yesterday I wanted to drive to the Baltic Sea. Stepped in, door closed, lock does not cling the door. Trying to lock the locking mechanism with a key does not work. The mechanism works smoothly. Ok, even with the Volvo something breaks. So on to the Volvo dealer. Hardly driven to the yard of the dealer the lock works again (about 8 km). Ok, so on to the Baltic Sea. Was a nice day. Today again the same game. All The spook is already over after 300m. The door contact switch works. If I close the door far enough, the interior lighting goes off, the hint in the AI disappears until I close the door less strongly. Someone knows where the problem lies? I haven’t read out the missing memory yet. LG Ralph

  • Passenger airbag or not – how do you recognize…? (Mist…)

    Is there a clear visible sign whether a V70 (produced for the Swedish market) has a passenger airbag? I picked up my vehicle today and found no airbag embossed on the passenger side. I have to admit honestly that I did not pay attention to it on the test drive (but here already tips should be given to make sure that a passenger airbag is installed on “Swedish” vehicles). On the front window are the symbols for Airbags – I think this is on all front windows. Otherwise no indication of a passenger airbag. The dealer could not help me on the phone and said you have to connect the on Monday in the workshop and can then first see if a passenger airbag is installed. First I was shocked when I had the suspicion…and think that no one is installed (as otherwise I only know this with an imprint” airbag on the driver’s board on the passenger side). If there is no passenger airbag available, all the sellers would point out it by themselves. Unfortunately I did not print out the original message at Mobile and it was deleted immediately after purchase. The seller did not say anything about the missing passenger airbag. I think he should have done that. Otherwise I am satisfied with the vehicle. If the passenger airbag as suspected (I am almost 100% sure) is missing – what to do ? Even if it wouldn’t bother me the vehicle would be Should I try to undo the purchase with the argument that the seller should have informed me about the missing airbag? Should I claim another price discount? or am I afcah myself to blame because I was too stupid to take care of it? Can I retrofit the passenger airbag?

  • Cold feet (footroom, flap control)

    N’Evening, finally warm feet again during the car ride!! Today the stupid flap (wave) for the footroom exits repaired.   • XC60 D4 AWD – Fuel input into engine oil?

    Hi guys, I’ve got a 2016 XC60 D4 AWD, i.e. the 2,4 5-cylinder. The last few days I’ve noticed again and again that something red flashed in the instrument cluster very briefly. If it could only look from the angle of the eye, it was straight out again. I then flipped back in the manual to find out what might be at this point for a warning light. Could be the red warning triangle. In the messages however, nothing is in it. I then checked the oil level and showed the instrument cluster. t max, with the message “overcrowded”. Now I am surprised that there has not been an error message yet. And second I wonder how the oil level can rise? Did this problem initially occur with my C70 D5. Then there was the problem with the fuel input into the engine oil when the free burning of the DPF was interrupted. But that was switched off with a software update. Does anyone know if there is still the problem? I can’t think of any other reason why the engine oil is multiplying so much or can the oil level sensor be defective? Let’s see what the workshop still says about it today.

My XC60D3 usually needs 7.5l per 100km, if the engine is lukewarm and you roll without pressing the accelerator pedal, the momemtan consumption falls to 0.00l. If you stop the hour consumption is 0.5 to 0.6l. Sometimes – and within the last 8 days more often – it happens that the consumption is 4.5-7.8l and if you stand 1.8l-3.4l. It does not affect the driving behaviour. If you stop, the engine stops, the S Takes out the clump, opens the door and stops for 2 minutes, this symptom is gone again – at least until now.
