  • C70 steel roof does not always close.

    Hello Volvo driver Come from the Polo Forum. My work colleague has a C70 convertible. After driving open, the roof closes only half and hangs. In Holland a new software was played out for 200 euros. Nix brought. Last week in Aachen even installed a new ECU for over 1000 euros. Again nothing.   • equip V50 from 2005 with USB

    Hello, I will also join the circle of Volvo drivers from next week. Unfortunately I also have a small problem immediately. I will get a V50 from 2005 which unfortunately has no USB/AUX interface. If I have researched correctly, the CD player can not even play MP3s. This is a big minus for me, because I often hear podcasts (usually I hear this only 1 time -> CD waste). A dream would be a USB connection, or at least an AUX input. I’ve already been looking for something and came across the Grom-Box. Here you can find the Grom-MST3 and the Grom-MST4 Box. My questions: 1) Can you recommend the GromBox to me – and if so, which ones? 2) Is the installation possible if you don’t have any further knowledge of electrical/circuit diagrams? 3) Are there understandable, best German-language instructions? 4) If MP3s are not really playable with the CD Player, which form is available? at to burn is then compatible?   • C 30 Reduced engine power

    Hello together Have had a C30 1.6 d since about 1 month and are so far very satisfied. Today during the drive the engine had hardly any power and showed reduced engine power.     Hej, unfortunately my moose bothers me now after 5 years for the first time. Monday morning (when else?) I want to go: Start, pretend short as if, then only organs…. WFS has already deactivated the previous owner – it can’t be. BP is also running. I haven’t checked the pressure yet – I still do afterwards.   • Volvo V70(3) tailgate no longer opens – troubleshooting

    Good evening, since today the tailgate no longer opens. When the remote control is activated, only the doors clack, but the tailgate remains closed. The switch at the side under the tank unlocking does not change anything. I did not have a lock to the right of the license plate lamp (seen from behind). Inside there is also no unlocking option (although only at the 3rd seat available). The tailgate is not shown as open (in the dashboard). g…no idea – is warm enough. In the trunk is a fuse box with 2 relays. One clacks probably 3 times in a row when you close(?) but also not every time. Both are in any case spoulentechnically in order (approx. 80 ohms). The fuses are ok. Next to it is probably the wire harness, which goes up to the tailgate. I could get there if I knew which wire is responsible for the unlocking. I have now put a hole in the disguise of the tailgate itself. There is a 6-pin plug directly where there are 4 wires in it. Can you do something? I suspect that when the switch is activated above the license plate, there is some kind of unlocking, but I don’t know if it only works if the central unlocking was also successful for the tailgate. I can’t reach the switch in the tailgate for the first time, I didn’t want to cut more holes in the tailgate. The fact that the plastic cover does not go out with the switch. Addition: the tailgate is not electric – only manual operation … well, except for the switch. I would have measuring instruments here and as an electrician too, since even something to make – at least until a necessary spare part is there – is already stupid without a flap… I heard about car electrics and their special features and can wuss me in there, but I lack the plan. A description like that in detail sparks Ionized or a schematic extract would be a big help. Many thanks for many tips, which always parks in the shade – yes, where else?

  • Automatic problems

    Hello together. I already had the problem in the summer, that with very high external temperature the automatic in the stand (in driving stage D) for example is jerking at the traffic light and it then feels when starting up as if there was a wrong gear in it (no train), which then gives itself again, however, as soon as you have hit it. During the ride no problems, switches perfectly. In the error memory error “3-2-2 wrong translation ratio” was read out. Some time the problem had disappeared again – I I thought it was due to the high temperatures in the summer. Since yesterday, however, it appears again. The stand of the transmission oil is ok. I had searched here in the forum and found a thread that describes something similar. There was advised to change the ATF. My questions: Could this help? And what do I have to buy there? Do I get the ATF at ATU or where do I go best? What is the cost to me? And how complicated is that? I have to drive about 400km on Friday and ask whether I should do it better before. Or can I take the 400km drive (almost only motorway) without worry?

    Hello At my ’99 V 70 I AWD I have to exchange the Nivomats. Now I have found a great offer for used, these come from a V70 II from 2008 . Since the recording on the axle another is I wonder if I can exchange the eye and accept the super offer of almost new Nivomats. Super if someone has idea – also if there are problems during the assembly, since these come from another series . D A N K E

  • Lowering just at the front. What is entryable? – Volvo 850

    Moin, I’m just thinking about new shock absorbers. I bought a pair of Bilstein B4 for the VA (160€ with cuff and buffer) at a good offer. I want to keep the Nivos with factory springs at the back. I want to get down a little bit, about 30mm. The question is, which springs should I take. On the one hand, I only need the front ones (mostly sold as a set) and on the other hand, they should also be fit if I only install the front ones. e and a good discussion. Thank you Janko
