Hello together! Since we plan to make longer tours to Southern Europe with our Volvo in the near future, including the option to sleep in the car, or to leave something “invisible” in it, I wanted to look around which tints are so recommended. My idea is that I build more or less mirrored foils. I think black is stupid, because my Volvo is also black and then would look like a box van. Can you recommend something to me, which to a Would you place the foil tracks for the rear window divided into two lanes, or is the arching so minimal that you can make it into one? Remember that the Omega B was not doing so neatly. Thank you very much! Greetings

Workshop recommendation in the Leverkusen-Wuppertal area
Hello dear community, can you recommend me a “screw” of your trust in the Leverkusen-Wuppertal area? I have the 80th kilometer inspection. A free workshop informed me that about 325€ incl. oil, fuel filter, interior filter and brake fluid change will come to me. Is this possible also cheaper in good quality? Thank you for your help + dear greetings fraenklin

Volvo 850 in view
Hello, I intend to buy a 20-year-old 850er. Visually, despite its high age, the car makes a very good impression, but in the first view I noticed something alaming: slim on the oil spill stick! a safe sign for a problem with the head seal, but a familiar Volvo driver told me that this was normal with the model and not that after it looks, especially with vehicles with gas system. Info: The vehicle has been overdue since 01/2015 TÜV and not more moved, it also has a gas system. Question is that true, or should you rather keep your fingers off it?

V70 1 2.4T 193PS – Turbo Service – do something else?
Hy, almost 280tkm on the clock and all the original, now the turbo is already oiling something, and one thought, is not o bad, one can leave. But since now the oil is already visible at the throsselkl., I think it has to be out and to the service for the new construction/repair. Thought already to get another from the net in new (often cheaper), but I think that the original is overtaken (Fa. TurboTwins in Vienna) nevertheless better. Now the question: should I have the immediately “modify” something, or gle I change the hoses on silicone, and is it really true that the 193hp can tolerate another Popoff/Wastgate ? Who has quality silicone hoses ect. at “normal” prices ? A tuner for Volvo is yes in Germany I think? Thanks mfg (Just in advance, who can not with me, to Fred just stay away, thank you ;-))

Sports exhaust system experience with TME or others?
Hello guys, think about building a sports facility on my V70. I like optical and price-wise a TME system. Has already made with it someone experienced and if yes some. I found one at Jetex, but looks like TME and from the delivery time 4-6weeks it could also work. Would be nice to get a little resonance about this. Greeting

strong vibrations during braking with V50
Tomorrow together, I’ve been having problems with my Volvo V50 T5 Kinetic for quite some time. Since I’ve read this problem in all the other posts, but no one could offer a solution, I’m going to open a new blog. I’ll start to clarify the circumstances: When I bought 1.5 years ago (private) the steering wheel was slightly vibrating during the test drive. Then the workshop weighed the tires and replaced the brakes at the front. After about 10,000 km, the brake vibrating slowly came back until it became very strong again. Then the brake discs were replaced, because they had allegedly moved away. Vibration again. Meanwhile ixh had already had the drive shaft front nlins and the servo pump renewed. Now again, 1/2 to 3/4 year later, the same problem. Vibrations started creeping while braking, then stronger and now almost unbearable. Do not assume any more, that it is due to the brakes, but that the warping of the discs is only the result of another error that affects the brake discs. The problem occurs when you slow down. The strongest is between 30 and 80 km/h. If I brake more strongly (no full braking) then it gets better again. Brake power amplifier works normal. What makes me stubborn is the fact that always after the replacement of the brake discs everything works well and then comes back again t. Thank you already in advance for your effort and support! Sincerely Michael

No spark Volvo 850
Hello, last week my Volvo stopped at a traffic light. Suddenly the engine went off and did not start again. The called ADAC looked for the error but could not find anything. The only thing that could be told to me was that no ignition spark comes. He also checked all fuses, but they were fine. The ignition coil is new. The ADAC had the assumption that it was the crankshaft sensor. In the workshop it was then changed – but without E rfolg. My “screw” no longer has an idea after he has tried out a lot. I then drove to a “Sweden workshop” for error reading. No error is shown. Since the car also has a gas system, I am a specialist for gas systems and have described the problem to him. He says that it can not be the gas system, because the car always starts on petrol and when no ignition spark comes, it can not be on the gas system. Does anyone still have an idea or would really be grateful for any idea, because I would like to drive the Volvo for a few more years.

The new XC70 -> Hot or old pics of the “new”
Hi together, just got a link by e-mail, on which some spy photos of a very heavily camouflaged Volvo can be seen. If it’s true, and it’s the new XC70, then the steep trunk disk calms me down very much 😉 But are they new photos? Or does someone even want to cheer me down PICS from previous models? Here the link: http://www.worldcarfans.com/…/spy-photos-volvo-xc70 Not secret greetings Torsten – the XC fan (and thinks you should go into the camouflage business once own – with the effort that they do … insanity 😉

XC 90 Brake-Murks
A real flaw in the XC 90 seems to be the brakes. After the front brakes have been replaced with 18,000 at mileage on guarantee. I now have the same problem after about another 20,000 km: the discs are sliding and the brakes are rubbing. The workshop now puts itself across the lack again uncomplicated. In my opinion it is a clear material error, because the brake discs are simply too soft. The chrome part of the materi as is too low, the heat dissipation too bad. At any rate, this was nothing new to the master of the Volvo car house, especially since the V70 has to suffer from the same illness. my XC 90 is now 1.5 years old, knarzt and quitsch after 43,000 here and there, evruses with 8.6 liters on average quite little and makes great fun. Only I would not buy it after leasing alone because of the brake murks. What experiences do you have? Greetings big-j

Comparison of upper class in the car picture…
I was able to take a look in a car picture with a customer today. (can also have been an older edition) There was a comparison test of the upper class!: E-Mercedes, Volvo S80, Skoda Superb and a lemon. Unfortunately could only look at it fleetingly, someone knows more? Greetings Torsten
