  • V70 Bj2003 – Usable tyre sizes

    Hello, have already collected some information from the net, but can not find any binding information so far. Therefore, please contact us. Question: Where does it say, which tire sizes I can use besides in the car ticket on my V70, Bj end of 2003? Unfortunately, this is not in my operating instructions. In the car ticket is only 205/55 R16. But I would like to use my old 205/50 R16 on steel rims. Is this possible? Thanks for any input.

    I first read on the internet that you should bring the oil yourself. In advance I got an offer from a second workshop. Previous workshop: approx.12€ incl. filter other workshop: approx.150€ incl. filter then had to be done with my previous one, but then cost 173€! 96€ for 5.7litre oil! Motor is the D3 D5204T3

  • Match Tacho Deviation

    Hello! Everyone certainly knows the speed deviations with his car, which has used an external navigator. I haven’t experienced a car yet, at which the speed is only approximately the same as the speedometer indicator. Also from factory, independent of tyres etc. With our V60 it is constant 5 km/h, another factory commutes between 9 and 12 km/h or e.g. 7 with a Galaxy. Always under the display well noticed, therefore of course no drama. Has someone already dealt with it, there are at the Volvo dealer the possibility to adjust here? Shouldn’t be witchcraft I think. Otherwise I found tools such as the Speedohealer, which makes little sense if the workshop does this quickly. And I don’t like to install any foreign components, because it is also not worth time/money.

  • D5 Diesel tank How is that possible?

    Hello guys, I already had a fuel supply problem for the fourth time in a short time. As soon as the diesel sinked at a certain level in the tank (board computer showed residual sprite for approx. 240 to 280km) the engine switched off with the message “motor maintenance required”. Tank felt and errors away. A diesel filter exchange did not bring any improvement. Why did it always happen at similar fuel level? I suspected pollution in the tank and removed the tank, but in the tank There was no dirt to see. I removed the diesel residue and cleaned the hoses on the tank with compressed air and renewed the diesel filter for the second time. Now it seems to be OK again. The tank splits into two halves. Does anyone know what principle the tank works according to? Where could I read it. thank you for your contributions

    Hello together, short to my situation – driving enthusiastically, for almost 10 years, a 850 Kombi(Bj.1996), 144 hp, gasoline, with meanwhile 300,000 km. I bought the car in 1999 used with already 150,000 km (company car). The engine still runs great, but otherwise it cracks in all corners, cross-overs/joint shafts (x times exchanged), shock absorbers etc. make themselves already violently noticeable and the extras rise slowly (climate nail defective, seat heating defective etc.) whereby the Before the summer vacation I am thinking about buying (used) a V70 D5 – the test reports from the time (2002-2004) seem to confirm the usual reliability of Volvo. I just don’t know what it looks like with the used now after 6 years. I have seen an offer from a Volvo dealer on the internet, what interests me: V70 D5 Built 9/2002 163 PS 107000 km maintenance made at 100000 km switching gear With the 850er I drove mostly short distance during the week, with a diesel I have no experience. Now I need a few experience values: 1. Is the offer acceptable to some extent? 2. With a diesel (especially in winter) mostly short distance driving – do I get problems compared to the petroler? 3. What do I have to watch out for with the V70 D5 from this year of construction? I don’t have any detailed information about the V70 yet.   • Volvo V70 – 2012 Climate Compressor

    Hello Forum participants, Are you familiar with the V70’s climate compressor, if necessary the other series? What is it about: I had the V70 D3/D4 change the climate compressor at my Volvo workshop with 145 000 km from 2012 in the fall of 2023, as the existing compressor gave off loudly audible noise during operation. Diagnosis Warehouse damage/compressor coupling. That’s exactly how I don’t know anymore. The system has cooled until the end. The new compr after about 10000 km in September 2024, i.e. after a year, similar noises were made. The Volvo workshop has no explanation for this, but changed the compressor to bulancy and everything was good again. So, and now, at the end of December 2024 after not even 3000 km, the bulance compressor also starts to make noises. That can / must not be… What is going on here? Are you familiar with such phenomena? Does anyone have comparable experiences? Are the spare parts possibly. repaired old parts of the Volvo installed there? Maybe one or the other of you has something to say or write about it. I thank you in advance for the trouble.

    Hey! Since we got a little daughter this summer, my girlfriend and I have finally decided to buy a car. It will be my first car (I am 36J, have had my driver’s license since 18, but always lived in the city and have never had to have a car of my own). I am therefore completely inexperienced in buying a car. I have already fallen in love with the V70, but in this case I hate to let my heart decide. l on the topic of “V70 used cars” are relatively outdated.   • Electric memory seats

    Hello everybody, my 93er T5 has a problem with the seat adjustment. The driver’s seat only drives jerkwise, millimeters by millimeter. It doesn’t do that for all engines and not in every direction. In fact, back and back always goes, back and seat down as well. Seat up and back forward only jerkwise, the memory function doesn’t work anymore.     Hello, I have an Xc60 without traffic sign detection , especially the current speed limits I miss very see attachment was sure that there were 70 on the off I wouldn’t ask at all but in NL we noticed that the danger points are displayed in the Senus, with the corresponding limitation shield. This should therefore be stored in the software, as is the case with our little Garmin Nüvi for example. or is there an update to make this possible? Greetings Martin
