    A friendly hello to everyone here. Wanted to introduce myself briefly. I am Buerste and since mid-January proud owner of a Volvo S80 2.0T!!!! Come from the most beautiful city in Germany, maybe even from all over the world!!!! And I have to say, this car is just Gigantic. I know here in this community like to see pictures, but at the moment it is not really presentable yet.   • Filter Change etc

    Hello dear community, As you can read above, I would like to do more myself on my Volvo Xc 60 year of construction 2014 and not throw more money into the workshop for it. Unfortunately I find almost nothing about maintenance work. Except from the interior filter, there are videos and descriptions. Does anyone have any information about this or can give me tips? I still know from my parents a repair manual but I also don’t have such a thing found or probably there will be no such thing. Thanks for it. Greetings

  • XC60 – Communication disorders in underground garages

    Hello Volvo friends, I turn to the swarm intelligence, as my Volvo car dealership cannot explain the following: I have my XC60-D4 (model year 2012) now almost 7 years 130,000 km, was planned from the beginning as a 10-year car. So far hardly any problems – except that the rear brakes always have to be renewed after 40,000. Since 2020 the car has an underground car blues. This is expressed by the fact that it is now 3 times in different underground garages to a complete union the communication came on the high-speed bus. 2 times the car didn’t start, but a whole cascade of error messages was displayed. 1x the malfunctions occurred while driving slowly in the underground garage. Helped: car off, 10 minutes wait, then everything went again. Once for 2 days the fault indicator at the top left “abgases”, but then also went out again. The Volvo workshop listened to my descriptions first unbelievingly, the assembler said after boarding and nd Driving: it’s a great shot. But the reading of the error memory then resulted in some communication problems of all possible ECUs, invalid data of ECUs, then at the end several times “DEM-U000188 bus”. However, an origin could not be recognized, since the selection list unfortunately shows no date clock time. As mentioned above: so far only in underground garages. My first suspicion goes towards reflection of signals -EMS (electromagnetic disturbance), since the environment i n underground parking is pure reinforced concrete.   • v50 1.6D and 2.0D Purchase Advice/Recommendation Vulnerabilities

    Hi there, I’ve only driven BMW so far and my girlfriend and I are thinking of adding a V50. It’s absolutely a diesel model. I’m interested in the 1.6D (109ps) and 2.0D (136ps). I’ve already read a lot, but I still don’t get that smart. Some report that the 1.6 (especially the first) should be more vulnerable. What exactly is more vulnerable to the engine? What are the flaws in these engines and what should you pay special attention to? eide motors from Peugeot ? and both motors timing belts? What are the weaknesses of the model V50 in general?   • Buy the “old” V70 or wait for the new one?

    Hello people! So today I was at the dealer and I looked at the current V70. Not quite fresh but with top ergonomics. Since I read that the coming V70 up to the B-pillar is identical with the S80, I put it in the same way. I have to say of the seating comfort the “old” V70 is a lot better. Especially the wide center console is always in my way. Also the Nordberg sports seats in the V70 Edition model are much more comfortable than the leather seats in the S8 0 (summary). Also in the “old” V70 you are so nicely converted, the security feeling is missing in the “new”. The reason why I demand here is that the “old” V70 from the space offer (on the back seat and the low trunk) is almost too small for me. The new one is to become bigger. Is that true? Currently I drive a loading master (Opel Vectra Caravan -> current model). If the new really gets bigger, I am hard to think if I should wait. What do you mean? Age or newer? would you buy? Motorically I introduce with the D5 (185hp) with AT6.

  • High Performance Soundsystem – Center LS?

    Hello everyone. I’m recently owner of a beautiful Volvo C70 T5 Built 2011. It’s a US import. I have a question about the high performance sound system. I’ve read that this one does not have a center speaker, as it only exists in the premium system. However, I seem to have a speaker in the front panel (see picture). Or is there something completely different underneath?? Second question. I don’t have a subwoofer behind the rear seat. Now I have to get everything and take it into account so that I can connect the original ones of Volvo? Is the current power amplifier enough or does one still have to be switched between the current and the power amplifiers on the subwoofers? Thank you in advance for your answers. LG

  • Lau-warm star trouble with unround engine run and petrol smell from exhaust!

    Hello guys, I’ve been having the problem for a few days that my 850 Bj.96 2.0 with 126hp 10V starts badly with Hand-Lau-Warmen engine. He spins for a long time about 10 sec. until he comes and then runs extremely rough. When it first occurred two days ago he went out three times again! This morning he jumped again and I immediately gave a little gas because I noticed the spit immediately. When I opened the driver’s door he stank from behind extremely to fuel! And after 5 to 6 gas bursts he ran again. I have not ordered anything but distributor, candles, and distributor runners! Hopefully come Monday. Just look under the hood rough and first see nothing striking, Merder damage or defects vacuum hoses. Petrol pump runs as usual. Cold and hot he jumps quite normally. Do you have ideas where I should still check? Or is the way candles, distributor already right? I don’t know how old that is. The last workshop bill we get to the car had been from 2017 and at 207 thousand kilometers. Greetings Christian And happy new year still.

  • Recommended purchase V70 – Corrosion ?

    Hello, I would like to add a used V70 and need your help. Are there problems with corrosion/rust with older V70 (approx. BJ 2000- 2004) ? As far as I have heard, the V70 are only about 70% galvanized !? How does it look with the strongly rock-throwing areas like wheel runs, bonnet etc. ? Please report your experiences to me.   • V70 from 1997 – Questions about equipment and more

    Hello, my first post in the 850/V70 forum – maybe not the last more or less randomly I stumbled over a V70 I and now I ask myself: make or let Up until recently I had a Mercedes T-model from 97 in use, E 300 TDT. In summer I drive W123, as second car we still have a golf in use (which could then be taken away). A friend of the V70 has taken the relevant dealer into payment; frame data: 2.5 10V, 10/1997, 265,000km, black, hand-scha service was made at the beginning of the year, timing belts at 242′ km, TÜV in October new. Basically and after extensive reading here should be a quite useful car (even though I liked the 850s better ). The interior is made of grey velour, I have not seen this so often yet, it is probably partial artificial leather. Was this on sale? And what about the sensitivity? Can someone provide me with a brochure as PDF or JPEG? x found. So the equipment could be represented a little bit or narrowed down.     Servus dear community, slowly I am a little desperate… 99ers s80 B6304s3 with the gm automatic transmission, was read today by the dealer of my trust error memory because abgacontroluchte illuminated and emission maintenance seemed urgent. quite at the same time an unround run with ~500rpm in stand and temporarily dying engine in stand, almost no gas acceptance and driving feeling of a tractor. well, error memory read out: – both lambdasonden vo, – misignition cylinder 4 active + not active – misignition cylinder 5 active + not active – misignition cylinder 6 active + not activehttp://data.motor-talk.de/…/20130211-223543-8702026483902873616.jpg mechanic meant yes the unround run comes from the cylinders 4, 5, 6 as ignition coil def. Nothing easier than the, ignition coils replaced, everything assembled, result: nothing! no change. one ignition coil pulled out after the other, all ignition plugs switched, also no change. langs at I am really perplexed, because just because of the lambda probes the error codes should not come and the motor does not spin. oil there, sprite there, nerves away :/ hope for one or other helpful tip best greetings from wien
