  • V 50 suitable for families?

    Hello, I’m thinking if we should get a V 50. Have two children (9 and 7) who populate the rear seats. Now I’ve been sitting in it once, if the driver’s seat is set for me, I find the knee clearance in the back acceptable, but my feet just fit under the driver’s seat. The Volvo has some kind of doll in the footroom back, so I can’t move the feet anymore. Does anyone of you drive a V50 with children in the back? Is the space available ok? Or is it going to be fast too tight? I don’t care about the luggage compartment, in case of doubt a roof box comes along, then it fits anyway. By the way we drive now nn V70 D5 (163 hp), which is nice big, but you drive just a lot alone, short distance or city, and there I find it rather tacky and a little “unjointed”. And the fuel consumption is certainly also lower with the V50!? Roemi

  • V50 Purchase / Questions about real wood Nordic

    Hello together, I’m just putting together my interior equipment (for V50). I’m really stunned, the views and patterns I’ve seen are too small. You can hardly recognize anything, let alone imagine it. Unfortunately, my friend has no V50/S40/C30/C70 with real wood Nordic standing around. The wood looks really nice. I just wonder how sensitive the surface is? Is the wood painted or otherwise treated somehow? How scratch-sensitive i the surface? Volvo also installed wood on the door handles, I wonder what that looks like after 2 years? I used to find wood in the car always stupid, but it becomes really more comfortable in the long run! The inlays alu should not be scratch-resistant either. Thanks already to the wood fans….Micha

I turned on the car, got out of the parking garage (where you drive normally slowly) and wanted to give gas on the road. Nix was… The car had no more power! “0 on 100” unlodly loosely 1 min. Mountain high was at 40 end. I think that he drives in a kind of emergency running program…!?!? After a few minutes it was gone again and he drove again quite normal. At a traffic light I turned off the car. Again started and again no power. The BC was watching! When I was “accelerated” with gas I had passed through a current consumption of 7,8l. So it just accelerates. But then it was gone for a short time! What I find strange is that there is no control light or any other message coming… Then I tried again in the evening! Again the same! At first no performance and then he drove again quite normal! In the morning I had only fuelled! At first moment I thought that I idiots might be petrol instead of Diesel fuelled… But the receipt has taken stock! It was diesel! Unless the gas station got the tank wrong or something… Now I have a date friendly on Monday. Let’s see what comes around.     hello..@all….I have to get something + going..me killed a rider today my mature at the front right of the curb….worse in the flank…what kind of mature stuff doesn’t help anymore…ups…so the assistance called me and let me go to the workshop..so now the +: I waited for only about 45 minutes for tows..in the time when I was waiting in my vicinity. he thought he needed 2 days for then mature because he didn’t have it in stock..ups.. I consider this despite automatic transmission and just quite many short distances for extremely high, or am I mistaken? The old Swede is year 98 and has 180,000km down. The gas system is from Vialle with a 100 liter tank, was built in in Holland and otherwise runs perfectly. I am otherwise very satisfied, only with such a high Verbra I didn’t count for it. I ride it very gently, usually let the automatic switch on at under 3000 tours. He is a miracle of acceleration, but God doesn’t know, but I don’t want to drive the consumption even higher.   • Frozen windshield in V70

    With my Volvo, the windshield always strikes from the inside in winter, the air conditioning has been maintained about three months ago and the climate/cooler compressor has been changed. Today, I changed the interior filter again, but it was dry. I noticed that the narrow bar below the windshield on the driver’s side is “loose”. Does the question now arise, is the bar just stuck or should it be stuck firmly with the windshield? e just plugged, could theoretically and perhaps also practically penetrate water and humidity into the ventilation system.
