  • EURE Opinion on the automated manual transmission – I-Shift is in demand.

After a long waiting time in July 06 I got my 1.8 EXEC. with I-Shift. (today 13,000 km and top 222km/h managed) It’s a nice wackling and for many people also an eye-catcher. Unfortunately I am absolutely not satisfied with the transmission. The car switches when it wants to. Sometimes it seems to me like on a Gaul, who does with me what he wants. In slow curves he wakes up until he switches at any time, before crossings he switches jerkily over several gears to the bottom. In the process, he cracks and “nieces” funny. Recently, he whistles like a vacuum cleaner. etc. ……… If someone drives with a normal switch like this, he picks head shakes. My son would get one behind the ears with this switching mode. Let’s see how long the clutch lasts this. For years, I drive with my butt and switch with my belly, certainly not always reasonable – but the switching software of this HONDA resists everything that I have done over 40 years. I only hope that the people of HONDA will also look in here. A QM questionnaire in the first week is not very useful. Today I asked, I would have put some crosses in another place. The A-gear has succeeded better with the new JAZZ. That makes switching really fun (7-speed automatic). So I had imagined this for the CIVIC. Make a test drive, it is worth it. ********************************************* CIVIC – 1.8 EXECUTIVE – I-SHIFT- 13 .000 km *********************************

  • BP Ultimate Diesel

I have now almost 10,000 km down my FK3 and until now always “normal” diesel fueled. Last time I drove the tank almost to the last drop empty and then once BP Ultimate Diesel fueled. Admittedly, the stuff is sultry expensive (with us in Austria more expensive than the most expensive gasoline), but I was curious and wanted to make the test on the example. How much does it actually bring to the Civic FK3? Well, despite all the unkennrufs I notice a difference. – The verbr Also: The BC showed me a consumption of 5.9 liters at the last filling with normal diesel. With BP Ultimate Diesel I stand with guaranteed unchanged driving mode (which I take care of exactly) at 5.7 liters according to BC, i.e. a reduction of 0.2 liters per 100 km. – Noise development: I can’t judge whether the engine has actually become quieter in idle mode by BP Ultimate Diesel. At the most in an area that is only perceptible if you have ears like a lynx, what happens to me. It is not the case. Nevertheless, the engine runs as usual calmly. – Acceleration: A surprise! When accelerating, I often had a core accompaniment sound with normal diesel. With BP Ultimate Diesel it is now the case that the core sound becomes quieter, whereby the turbo noise comes to the fore – less nailing, but louder turbo noise. Whether the acceleration itself has become better, I cannot judge – I have not stopped yet or the like. Subj From an active point of view it doesn’t go better, but also not slower – only the acceleration itself is now more pleasant for the ears, because the engine itself has become quieter (as I said when accelerating). I probably lead it back to the high Cetan number. – Final speed: I couldn’t test it so far. Conclusion: If it remains that the consumption is lower, I can quite imagine to refuel BP Ultimate Diesel regularly in the future. The engine itself has become quieter when accelerating and the turbo noise is louder. Otherwise, no big differences to the normal diesel. More information is available at: www.bpultimate.at

  • Timing Belts Change and control times

Hello Paul my name I have the following problem and that I wanted to change the timing belt yesterday with my Volvo S40 from 1998. When dismantling and so everything went great only then where the timing belt was off the camshafts have changed. I did not use a tool because I did not have one and the timing belt was due. Doof idea I know! Now the camshafts inlet and outlet are adjusted as well as the crankshaft. My question would also be if I had the camshafts on the markings should turn and the crankshaft also say 1. cylinder on OT, or rather not. Is the engine still to be saved or rather not? MFG Paul

  • Questions about Honda Accord Bj.97

Hello! Since my wife drives a Honda Civic 1.4 Bj 97 5 doory (exact designation????) and we are quite satisfied with it, I would also like to have a Honda. But an Accord, because much bigger. I love with a 97-accord 2.0i ES. What does the ES mean? (equipment????)What is the difference to the LS? The car has a Navi installed ex factory.Which Navi is that exactly?Could I replace the problem without problems against my Becker? (purpose of the GPS antenna) Think it might be somewhat outdated already. The Accord has 140,000km on it with service booklet.Very well maintained. What should that cost? (Bin from Austria and here the Accord is quite rare and accordingly you can find quite little price comparison) Who owns this model and could tip a few lines for experience? Thank you !! Werner

  • Interest in buying a V40

Hello, I once looked at the new V40 and also played something with the D4 on the configurator and would have a few questions since I have no idea of Volvo. 1. Is there a certain reason why Volvo has 5Cyl. with the 2l diesel? 2. Why there is no difference in consumption between the D3 and the D4? 3. What is the reliability Basically with the newer Volvo ́s (motor, transmission, electrics…) 4. The automatic transmission offered in the V40 is the more direction converter automatic or more direct transmission? 5. How is the processing generally, so when the car goes direction 4 or 5 years (folder noises..) 6. Is there a reason why there is no sunroof and only the panoramic roof? To the info I have until a short time allowed to call a Golf 6 GTD my own and am therefore looking for this again in this direction (optics, performance, processing…) Thank you already for your answers.

  • CR-Z deleted???

Hello, at www.accordforum.de I read that the development of the CR-Z is stopped. Do you know anything about it? On the Honda.de page at the News for Insight the CR-Z is mentioned. The CR-Z would be the only car that would hold me at Honda. If the CR-Z does not come, there is one Honda customer less… MAMA!!! I want a new Prelude, or at least the Accord-Coupe. HEUL!

  • Car paint protection

Servus, was I-net on the road today Due to some contributions in “weisicht wasfor Topics” because of paint care. Some have probably scratched off the paint with your new Civic with a washing system, so also with me, despite rag wash. Have a side out there and I went to them once directly. I looked at the whole thing for a while and they do everything there, and it looks very good I have to say. I find them have good deals, and to NANOVERSIEGELUNG the guy said: At N we talk about about 300 EURO. But doesn’t last 3 years as some providers promise. Every 1.5 – 2 years with appropriate care would be OK. Otherwise most ne wax seal is about 1 time a year.http://www.apz-online.biz What do you think? Greeting Lip
