Hi together, it wasn’t exactly planned like this (I had to take something with me in addition), but the XC70 had to be taken the week again correctly 😉 In the picture my return trip from Hamburg, respectively the loaded truck donkey just before the descent (there was a full tank to it ;-). Almost 500km of easy track – the level dampers were sorry. To the picture: I had the Stollen tires on it, because my new tyres are just pulled on at the dealer – normally I drive such Routes NOT with SOLCHEN tires 😉 By the way: I drove with the fully charged XC to my previous fuel record. Since I had driven to 98% with cruise control at 120Km/h, I had an average consumption (extra reset before the ride) of 7.1 l/100km 🙂 Who has had his station wagon so full (and has a photo of it)? Nano Nano! Torsten – the XC fan (and has already had his 850s fuller. Somewhere in the MT there is also a picture of the box 😉

Motor control communication disturbed!! What now? V70 2.4 T
Hello, my V70 2.4 T runs at outside temperatures below 15 degrees a bit rough and unround when accelerating. Especially in the 3rd+4th gear. After LMM, intake air temperature sensor, spark plugs, TVC etc. the fault is still there. The car accelerates a bit thrusty and partly tough and slightly rough at 2500-3000 revolutions. Especially after today’s exchange of the temperature sensor, the thrust-like acceleration was added. As if the turbo switched late in the 3. +4. Especially gear. Does the car have to learn the new temperature feeler first or something like that? Is that something??? And: It was in the error memory today: “motor control unit– communication disturbed-!” The error can not be deleted. I got a new software for the engine control on it with Volvo 2 months ago. Can that be because?? Is there something no more?? I had the car read out today in the free car-fit workshop, where I also bought the car. The update 2 months ago h at but made at Volvo. Should I contact the Volvo workshop again and ask if it has anything to do with the update?? Can a faulty engine control unit or a failed update lead to the defects and problems??? Can an update paralyze the communication? What does an engine control unit cost?? Many many questions…I know….don’t complain! I’m in despair! I don’t want to go to a workshop anymore. And don’t have any more money! Greeting! And THANK YOU !!!! PS: I’ve got grad Calling the Volvo workshop: Could of course not have anything to do with the update. And: If the communication was disturbed, I could not have read out the error memory. But the error memory worked. Have also deleted an error etc.! Well: Funny that I mean that the jerking only occurs at cooler outside temp.!! I think it will remain a mystery!

Tacho deviation according to PDA-Navi in V70 ?
Hello guys, maybe the one or the other has already made this observation: Tacho-Display Tempo 100 (set with cruise control) View of the PDA-Navi (MN5) : Display at 92 to 93 km/h Higher speed brings even higher deviation. (at 120 are approx. 110 etc.) Who is right ? I would vote for the Navi, if the thing can navigate exactly to 5-10 m, the speed calculation would have to be quite accurate, or am I wrong. Oh, measurement with standard tire en (205er on 16″ rim, that’s not what it should be). Tachos “may” – I think to remember – 4% differ. O.g. values are already strongly above… Would also be important in contact with the green-dressed and their shooting systems 😉 Who has similar experiences ? LG Walter

Summer tires in winter
Hello, have just heard about my XC90 order that the car will be delivered in winter on summer tyres without M+S identification. Do I expect too much that Volvo will not deliver cars that cost me – hardly ever leave the dealer’s yard – 20€ or 40€+1 point? Or have I missed the option somewhere “deliver with winter tyres”? Is that so with all manufacturers? Greeting Ralf

XC90 problem automatic air conditioning
Hello you! Outside it gets colder again and there comes again, the almost forgotten problem: cold feet, draughts, wrong working climate automatics With me will then give again a new workshop round. Many have reported that on longer rides the climat. suddenly switches to cold or wildly regulates. Maybe it is (as already mentioned) the following cause: the enormous heating up of the center console fittings is well known. Maybe it is really because the temperature sensor for the room temperature is also in this panel!! It sucks the air somehow via a small fan (at least the workshop master says) but is firmly connected to the surrounding heated parts. That would explain everything or? Who knows why the temperature sensor is in the middle – where it is supposed to be a two-zone automatic. The friendly spoke of two sensors, but where the second one sits He couldn’t tell me. Furthermore, the fan noises are enormous loud, but only in heating operation – it sounds like,(especially with the middle outflows in the dashboard) as if the fan is running against almost closed flaps – that would also explain the small amount of warm air from this area. What have you researched so far??

Volvo 850 Motor 5252 OT – Point setting
Hello everybody! Ask for your help! I have already read a lot about this here but unfortunately nothing clear! What happened so far: Since my Swedes Steel was very bloated at the last stop and go, I decided to renew the shaft seal, but without disassembly to the head(compressed air). Everything went well! Unfortunately, after a short time, a Simmering pushed out behind the exhaust camshaft wheel. I then took off the one wheel and pressed the ring again. Because the wheels pressed in again. r da longholes have, I did not get the previous setting. I then read a lot about the grooves at the other end, markings on the NW wheels and markings on the crankshaft. I then bought a tool set for setting and locking. I fixed the NW with the help of the tool at the distribution side. One groove above and the other below the Zyko upper edge(picture1). Marking NW wheels at the front fits approximately also (picture2). n pure(Fig.3). My problem is now the crankshaft. On the one hand I have read that the small bridge on the oil pump housing and the notch on the gear of the OT is (Fig.4), sometimes not! At the OT measurement (pen in spark plug hole) this point would be about 3-4 teeth further. the bolt for locking the KW is also identical with the oil pump housing. What is the OT KW and what does the notch on the rib belt wheel have to say (Fig.5)? Oh, come on, let’s go!

Heat exchanger (indoor heating) XC60 I D5 BJ 2010
Hello, with my XC 60 I BJ 2010 unfortunately only a lukewarm ventilation comes from the heating slots in the interior. The Volvo dealer said it would be the heat exchanger to change. But you don’t necessarily have to use an original spare part. Has anyone already had experience with the exchange of the heat exchanger? Is this very complicated? Has the XC60 always installed an additional electric additional heating in addition to the heat exchanger? that these would only fit with vehicles without electric additional heating. Thank you!

Volvo Price Lists – Collectable Thread (1993 – today)
In recent times, buyers of vehicles are also increasingly coming into the forum, whose vehicles have been bought as leasing backers or used cars. In the purchase decision, details are often sought for comparison, which result from the price lists of the respective model years. I would like to collect the price lists for the vehicles of the SPA- (60s and 90s series) and the CMA-platform respectively, if necessary create FAQ-articles daruas and thus bundle the price lists centrally and thus I would like to concentrate on the German price lists. So if someone has price lists lying around as PDF of the model years from 2016, please post here as an appendix – I sort them accordingly. Helpful would be information in the post about note: Discussions about the content of the price lists please limit in this thread to the absolute minimum – otherwise the last bit of clarity suffers

The driving beam shall not remain on:
Good day dear community, I unfortunately had to cling deep in the Swedish forest at night, which my main light does not work. Light horn works perfectly, therefore then almost an hour lever-holding through the Pampa thundered. Since the light horn works, my first idea was to do something with the lever/switch. I removed the turn signal switch afterwards, but the contacts of the board were only slightly dirty and the cleaning did not change anything. My next attempt would be Checking the corresponding relay, but where is it? Inside clicks under the glove compartment, I see only safety. Also interesting is that yesterday when demonstrating the problem it worked the first time (remote light remained on until repeatedly pressing the switch), but then no more. I tried to reproduce today, but today it didn’t work the first time. Other ideas and impulses are welcome. Thank you and nice day to you.

Having been to the HU today, can be seen my old V40
Hello Volvo V40 friends, after a long time I found my way back to the forum. Due to the move and the use of a company car it has been quiet around my small 2.0T, so I had the appointment of the HU in July completely missed, so that our happy gentlemen in green with a small note made me aware of it, thank you so much! So today went to the TÜV (better said my better half was there, well, women bonus and so ), after I had I haven’t done so much about it for the last 2 years, except for regular oil changes (premier brake pads and brake fluid renewed, nothing else) and the result is not as bad as you can see from the TÜV report. I have to see where I can fix the stuff, but I have to say, the V40 is real solid!! Now that I have cleaned it again, he does something again, design technology is still one of the most beautiful combos on our streets.
