Hello guys! With my new V70 D5 I have now the first 2200 km down and now start to load the engine at high speeds – fully turned it up before but still not under load. The following result amazes me: the engine turns in manual switching mode in 1st and 2nd gear full 5000 rpm, in the 3rd quite casual 4800 rpm, more I could not try, was on the road in the city – please do not calculate now….was definitely faster than Question: Will the speed limiter be used later in the lower gears?? parkbank

V70-II-D5, sudden power loss, what is it?
My V70-II-D5, 163PS+Chip, year 02/2002, 175Tkm, has recently the following Macke: From the normal ride no more power comes out of the acceleration. Max. top speed is then 125km/h with fully penetrated accelerator pedal & the speed does not come over 2500/min. Sometimes the “sleep ride” goes from even after 10 minutes to 1 hour (does fun during holiday trips) again and then is rest for a few days or weeks until it occurs again. Yesterday I stopped then u and the engine turned off, after the restart everything was OK again. Does anyone know what it might be about?

“Schreiender” V70 in wet condition
Hello Volvisti, with my V70R from 2005 the following phenomenon occurred again and again last year: in heavy wet and snow-covered roads a high-frequency, screaming noise sounds, which cannot be changed either by heavy steering movements or by braking. On ski holidays this year I almost went mad to have about 35min. high mountain a screaming companion at the front right… My Volvo master thinks that any plates on the brake would be the reason he h at now written to Volvo.. Tire wear XC90 uneven?
On the inside of the tires there are still a minimum of 8mm profile on the Laengsrille after 29tkm, while the outer laengsrille has only 2-3mm. And this on all four wheels. Have you observed similar things? This is not normal, but it won’t be a adjusted track/sturch either, since it affects both axles the same way.

Hello dear community, I just opened up here and look for your opinion about a used V70 2.4 163 HP Black Edition. The vehicle has an EZ 03/2004 and about 31000km down. What do you have to look at or take a closer look at? Is such a purchase at the moment (Particle filter drama ) advisable? Did the vehicle test and did not find the engine bad. What does such a machine need on average? It was striking for me that the suspensions of the exhaust system (a kind of round iron ) already were very rusty?? So, let’s hear from you! In search of P0171 / mixture to lean….I’m still going mad
Moin to everyone. I need your help. It’s a V70, Bj 2000, 170hp, BRC gas system I’ve been searching through the search function for hours, but still can’t find the error. How it all started: the moose continues to run clean and evenly, the sensed engine run has not changed. Sporadic the Mkl. only rarely, now constantly after about 5 – 10min drive. That caused me to read out the error memory. I use Torque. Not the yellow. The error P0171 is displayed when reading out the fault memory (sometimes also Missfire cylinder 5…is there a connection?). The error is immediately there after the deletion, even if the Mkl is “not yet” on. P0171 means mixture too thin. The error is timed no matter whether I drive on petrol or gas. Since both modes of operation produce the same error, I do not have to rely on the fuel / gas supply, – Already carried out: – air filters checked (almost new and clean) – vacuum hoses controlled at the air filter – air mass meters exchanged and contacts checked – spark plugs exchanged (were anyway on, even appearance) – ignition coils checked – Lambda probe changed – vacuum hose to the vacuum sensor and the hose of the tank ventilation to the intake bridge replaced. – All obvious points in the supply air system (except for the intake bridge itself) sprayed with brake cleaner when the engine is running, no speed change. – The concealment and cable of the coolant temperature sensor is checked (display in the dashboard is fixed at three o’clock). – Hidden at the two exhaust probes controlled. – Seal of the throttle valve controlled. – Once again sprayed with brake cleaner, now also the top of the intake bridge and injectors. I don’t really know any more at the moment. I h abe to have the injection nozzle switched to Zyl. 5 first time to get rid of maybe P0503. Next action would then be to take off the suction bridge. But that’s why I fear something back without any help. Does one of you have an idea how to proceed further? Greetings Thomas

Timing belt change V70/1 LPT mj99 adjustable camshaft
After several searches and reading through several threads I open a new topic. Here it is as described above about the timing belt change ! Since I have already pumped enough into the repair of the head and also would like to trust myself to change the timing belt I have read a bit about it. For those who are wondering about timing belts changing head overhaul !? Yes the timing belt came just before 30Tkm new ! BUT ! I have the inner drive shaft cuff ! The fat came unfortunately also to the ZR … the teeth therefore look quite worn out. Since I don’t want to risk anything and fear that the belt will skip or slide through the fat at some point in time, I prefer to take the 200€ for the tooth strap into my hand. The real question is the difficulty of changing and the difference between fixed and adjustable camshaft wheel on the output side. Furthermore, I do not have any fixing possibilities. cjkeit seen egsp. By bolts to secure the gears before twisting. First of all thank you !

Original spare part or forgery?
I intend to change the crossbars at my XC70. Since it is necessary to adjust the track after that I decided to grab original Volvo parts after some consideration, even if these are quite expensive. 220€ per page I paid for it at Vikingparts. Today they arrived. For the first time with an original spare part completely unpacked and not in the blue Volvobox. Not even upholstery material has put Vikingparts in the package, so that the P aket arrived half cracked and the paint on the crossbars is already in some places. Apart from that, however, I have clear doubts whether it is at all original crossbars from Volvo. Normally all Volvo parts have an excellent quality. On the photos you can see that the rubber bush is quite pleated and the crossbar is covered with welding pearls. I bought an extra original part to be quiet there and am now absolutely not sure also What do you think about it?

Key rim lock missing in new cars
Hello all, I wanted to mount the winter tyres yesterday on my XC60 MJ17, but I had to find out that the car was missing the key for the wheel locks. And yes, I rolled the vehicle from left to right. The call to the local Volvo dealer, I spoke here with the friend workshop master, brought disillusionment. Volvo can’t open the locks because the key is missing. The only way would be to drill the locks, but at the same time it could the rims are damaged. Apart from the financial costs.
