  • double DIN radio for XC90 BJ. 2006

Hello dear Volvo municipality, I’m looking for a radio replacement for my 2006 XC90. Due to the double DIN solution not many options remain open. For example a Pioneer AVIC-F910BT for approx. 950EURO, or a Kenwood DNX9240BT for proud 1,200 EURO. Who of you already has experiences on this topic and would like to share it here? Thx

  • XC 70 vs V70…… Successor for Audi Quattro?!

Salu zsamme Some time ago I set my beloved A4 Quattro 1.8T (132kw) against a tunnel entrance with LPG. Before that, I had loved a bit of “more space”…at first thought of an A6.. But somehow I didn’t have any more balls on these built-in boxes(motor room), constant problems with chassis(crossbars) etc…. Is just about the time for something new….other…! I’m just playing with the thought of letting out a V 70 or even an XC 70 myself…. Jed It has its advantages, its weaknesses…and I had hoped to launch a very reasonable controversial debate…. Would be really grateful about every mustard….. What speaks for the V70 What’s wrong with it? XC 70 is the what…are the spare parts much more expensive than for the V70? Which BJ should be avoided? Up to how much km can you buy a Volvo without any problems? What can a good Volvo cost….? Which engine is the most meaningful in terms of performance/consumption..80% Landstr. bz e Autobahn Schweiz – i.e. 120 km /h… bissl Stadt …..Rest Autobahn….CA. 15-20,000 KM /YAR… what are special models that it is worth looking at? Audi had almost full aust. ….. What are things you should absolutely pay attention to when buying it= Checkbook- Sure, but what else? Is there rust? Mechanics? Electronics….. who drives his Volvo on gas.? without problems??? or what is the diesel? Would be really happy… if something comes together here…… in this sense Frankie

  • Detach/detach the V70 drive shaft at the front left of the gearbox

If you need quick help from the community, I want to expand the drive shaft at the front left to replace the wheel-side joint. The drive shaft is secured on the gearbox side with a spring ring. ? • Volvo850 Diagnostic Box Defect

Hello together! I would like to introduce myself briefly. I am Markus and live in Ostallgäu. Our car, a Volvo 850 2.5 20V 125KW/170PS. Year of manufacture 1994 combi switch. For some time I have been reading with you and must say excellent forum. Super! Now I come to the problem what I have. The thickness stood about 3 months, on the one hand because my wife has a company car and I have been working for a long time abroad. When I started the car last week, he does not run any more and. He didn’t hold the speed at all and the engine went out immediately. The lamp lamp didn’t go out any more. He always let himself start immediately and with a light gas until he was a little warm, he didn’t go out any more. I then first took off the plug from the LMM and sprayed in with contact spray. Cables are no lots also otherwise visible everything is OK. I have read out the error memory Diagnosis box A slot 2 and 6. It of course flashed. Then I have the error gel The Lambda light just doesn’t go off. Today I wanted to go to the bottom of the thing again and notice that the diagnostic box no longer blinks, neither slot 2 nor 6. Hab tried everything. My question, can the box go defective, can you just replace it???? The car has an immobilizer (VDO plug in the amature carrier) What can I do? The engine is not working well in cold condition, goes out because he doesn’t hammer the speed. In warm condition he runs at approx. 1000-1100 u/min, which is much too high. Freu mich über helpfule Reply. Greeting to all.

  • Tinkers Wanted

Hello to all moose fans, my name is Lisa and I am 19 years old. I have been a proud owner of an old V 70 (built in 1998) for two weeks and I love my dark green moose. It fits perfectly to me and I am very proud. I have the car from a work colleague of my mother. His father died and the son offered my mother’s car for sale. The car is actually very well there with its 160000 kilometers. My father is today, however, to the Volvo We rkstatt was driven and a huge barrel was opened there. The following has to be done: timing belts and inspection. Reduced costs approx. 800 euros. Furthermore, the mounts for the bumpers are rusted. However, this Volvo can no longer deliver. Due to the rust my elk would no longer come through the TÜV. On this page http://www.skandix.de/…/ however, such mounts are shown to me. Unfortunately, I am also not very technically savvy but this would have to be done. My father is already talking about a mistake. But I don’t want to give up the car. Does anyone know about it? Should I even go to a contract workshop with such an old car? Or rather to a tinkerer? I thank you very much for your help. Lisa

  • Cover Injection Bar

Dear moose friends, the cover of the injection strip can no longer be fixed with me. Obviously it is only clicked in, but that doesn’t hold any longer. In the workshop it seems to have been glued to the wall – see black glue (tea-like) on attached photo. Does one of you have such a bar left, maybe from a butcher?

  • Maintenance intervals or what we actually did?

On the other hand, Moin, have a short question. Does anyone know what is done during the various inspections or maintenances at the moose? Is there a brilliant lin somewhere in the omniscient Internet? Specific for the S80 T6, MJ 04. Have also read the forum all the time, but have not yet found any complaints about the model year, or has nobody written yet? Greetings, and already thanks in advance, Ulf PS: Does anyone know which route is the best in Germany? n the first week of September from Malaga to mother-in-law in Sweden (Värmland), and has to pick up my brother and family in Kassel on the way… I guess I’ll take the route from Stuttgart to Kiel, and across Denmark to Göteburg and then to the north… What time do long-distance drivers recommend?

  • gratifying surprise!

Hello to each other, I still drive my v70 bifuel, year 2002 , 90 Tkm, and yesterday experienced a pleasant surprise. After 5 years of moose time I surprisingly found that there is a very enjoyable feature with my moose. I find the space-saving possibility of a check/fuel card in the glove compartment very practical, but that with pulled keys still the electric window lifter and also the sliding roof for a unique closure because let was new to me – nice thing! Maybe you can use my thread to announce your volvotypical ideas/players/discoveries. Have a good trip! scout 2

  • Short experience report after chip tuning

Hello, after a long time of thinking, I decided to give the Xc90 a few more Ps. After my Volvodealer’s tip, I decided to do a tuning with which the control unit was simply reprogrammed? Unfortunately, I have no idea how it worked exactly, but took less than 20min. After I was on the road with it over 2500km, I can say that the Xc90 is much better on the gas. That, I call it getting deep air b The speed limit was probably deleted at the same time as I did not drive the car yet. The highest was so far 190km/h speedometer, which was achieved with less “start” than before and one had the impression that there was still something to come. Most clearly one notices the extra power when accelerating out of construction sites. To the consumption I can say that the so far significantly decreased, would almost say that at the moment I consume 1l less. So far there have been no faults. Greetings Patrick

  • V70 III Bj 2012 as Sweden Import AFV: transmission, battery, electronics

Hello! I recently bought one of these Volvo factory cars with Prins CNG system as young used. I am super satisfied, this is a very pleasant driving, and with a filling CNG (about 15-16kg) I manage the 300km. Can’t you complain! I notice a few details – does someone have experiences? 1. The automatic transmission is very smooth. When switching down from the 3rd to the 2nd gear, especially if you just let it run out and is no longer on the gas, it dangles e Is that normal? 2. Occasionally an error message comes, battery level weak or similar – I have already read with someone else in the forum. Is that because he was standing at the car dealership for a long time? 3. In the BC there is regularly an error message that the belts are not laid on the back seat – although there is no one there. Is this an electronic defect? 4. Does someone have experiences what retrofitting Bluetooth and/or Navi cost? Greetings Altenberg
