  • S60 T5

I don’t have any questions… I just have to give my nervousness room πŸ˜‰ Today at about 4:00 p.m. it’s time… I get my FIRST OWN VOLVO!!! A S60 T5 BJ 12/2001 97tkm Oh man what a… steam hammer called it my father! My father gets his V70 2.4T today. I’m so nervous, I can’t say! I’m going to turn from a Mazda Mx-3 1.6i 65kw to a 184kw Volvo! – I could burst with pride! For my father this is the 10th V olvo in a row, the first car I drove after the driver’s license was a 740GLT… since it was clear – a Volvo will be! And now eat one! Can jmd with a S60T5 tell me what to make so realistic about top speed? Don’t misunderstand, I’m not a “cold heater”, but why buy a T5? πŸ™‚ A bit of what “high-octane” you need already in the blood! Hope this post doesn’t bother anyone… Thomas

  • No Internet connection, TCAM module?

Hello to the forum, maybe someone here has a piece of advice, three days I have no Internet connection anymore. Reception is full there, but at the end of the ascending triangle the exclamation mark. Twice now the TCAM module over the Defroster restarted. No improvement. Also the main infotainment system restarted, without success. So slowly it annoys. Software is up-to-date, and all hooks in the privacy menu activated. Does anyone have advice? Greeting Christian

  • Question about sitting at Inscription

Hello together, have a question to Inscription driver of the XC 90: Could such a equipment unfortunately never see in natura. How good is actually the side stop here? In the brochure it looks as if there is more to be expected here than with normal equipment. According to Volvo there will be no optional seat selection at the XC 90 in the distant future, as e.g. with the V 70. The seats in the XC 90 sport probably nobody knows yet, but should be reserved for this. A configuration with various snaps however makes sport more expensive than the executive. Greetings bkpaul

  • Oil loss on the right / gear side

Hello, after I had had the clutch replaced before 3000 km I now have to notice with horror that I have oil loss. During the clutch change two sealing rings have been changed with ( 9458178 / 6843481) now does not know the exact description of the rings. I suspect that the oil trap / flame screen are the culprits, see photos, on the oil tail stick he siffs out and steams at running engine. My fear now, it can be that the oil trap is dense and thus the sealing rings which are out now due again at the clutch change would be? He has run 314,000 km, whether the oil trap / when you have been changed times, no idea. Have times attached a few photos, someone knows the problem and knows advice. Thanks in advance.

  • XC90 financed as a business car or privately

Hello to all XC90 owners, my Volvo dealer said that the XC90 is a pure company car. Individuals would not buy it. Therefore my question to you, is your XC90 a business or a private car? Thank you Best regards Selenum

  • Volvo Workshops overloaded – Note for buyers of a used Volvo

Hi, in great disappointment about Volvo I had to get back to this topic. The reason for my disappointment is an unacceptable long waiting time for a workshop meeting despite a total failure due to an electronics problem. I am also interested in whether it was similar to other Volvo drivers. In the radius of about 50 km from Stade, between Cuxhaven and Hamburg, when selecting 5 Volvo workshops a waiting time of 1 1⁄2 weeks is the best possible result, what could be achieved by switching on the central Volvo customer service. Before it went direction 2 1⁄2 weeks. Because of the previous failure of a Xenon-scattered workshop, which could not be solved by exchanging the Xenon-burner and Xenon-control unit, it should even be a date in 4 weeks. Since it was then considerably time consuming to find a free workshop at all (>10 asked for help), however, the advice given to a Volvo with an electronic problem already gives me as a layman to understand that the diagnosis of Volvos probably represents a special challenge. In view of this workshop there was no need for help.

  • Sensus Navigation (2013) Update

Have now made the update (as of April 2018) from Navi via Stick. So far so good, but I can’t notice any innovations. In my surroundings, innovations have been made in the road guidance for the last 1 1/2 – years, such as gyro. But these things are not taken into account in the update. Does someone know how busy Volvo renews his cards? Am there a bit disappointed, can’t be. that you have such a long delay in updating the cards.

  • Volvo v70 Cross Country LPG

Hello, I have looked at a Volvo V70 T5 Cross Country AWD today and have torn a bit back and forth, because I don’t know how well I am. The vehicle was built in 1997 and converted to LPG, it has about 260,000km on the clock. It has probably been made a lot, quote from the advertisement: timing belt change including water pump, distribution gear resealed, while the -hΓΌlse-inspected and found very good. Oil change from engine, transmission and VTG, new exhaust and new cardan shaft medium bearing can be installed. In the (very short, about 10 minutes) test drive nothing occurred to me negatively, the engine runs absolutely pleasant and the gear switches buttery soft. Inside and outside the Volvo is fantastically maintained Now comes what makes me stutzig: When I asked what it is in the future, the seller told me that he has discovered that he is dripping a little bit of gear oil. I know that can probably have a thousand reasons, but should one better leave the finger?

  • Additional headlamps and washing system

Hello, since I have now also bought additional headlights, I wanted to ask you what experience you have made with the additional headlights and washstands? I did not have the original Volvo solution but the “Biltema” solution, i.e. : holding console behind license plates, relay circuit and 9″ headlights with stabilizing rods.
