I’m looking for a V70 or XC 70, preferably with a high-light assistant. However, only a few of them have on the market, so that the selection is enormously limited. Now I ask myself, is it worth it? What I read here in the forum at the V40 is not encouraging. https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/fernlichtassist-t6759944.html I prefer to refrain from using an assistant who makes more stress than relieves stress. Therefore, my question: How reliable and comfortable does the high-light assistant work for those who have one in their V70 or XC70, economically (motorways, roads, inner-city)? Gladly with the indication of the year of construction.

Vibration/slagering during braking
I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike, I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike, I’ve had a good time to get back to the bike. I’ve been driving a Volvo V70 III D5 AWD 215PS and I’ve got the problem that the car always starts to vibrate again in the bike. In that year I’ve been driving about 50,000 km and now he has 330.000 km on the clock. Bremdisks and pads I’ve already made 5x new. (Brembo, Volvo Original, ATE) After the change I mostly have 2-4tkm quiet and then it comes back again. (Slimming process, speed independent, at some point so bad that I can hardly drive anymore, because the steering wheel almost flutters me at the brake. Tires have also come back 4 months ago and been re-wokeed. As I was in doubt and no longer knew, I gave the Volvo to the brake at the front, the bike change again and again.

850/V70 I or 940 as Daily Driver?
Hello, for a few weeks I have been searching the www for information about the above-mentioned vehicles. After I asked my question a few weeks ago in the Hecktriebler forum, I was interested in what you are guessing for. We think about buying a second car for small money (about 1,000 – 2,000 €) with a little patience. Despite the low one-strip price we want (of course) a most reliable vehicle as possible. It’s about a gasoline truck for working 12 km (simple distance) which is also supposed to pull our caravan (1,500 kg). So these are the specifications. For the 850 it seems that the offer is larger within the approximate scope of the mentioned budget. Also the vehicles consume a little less? The 940 seems to be even more robust compared to that. Also, due repairs are cheaper. How is the opinion of those experienced with old Swedes? What engine and what years of year would you advise on one or the other? I look forward to your opinion!

Another ABS problem
So, my 850 10v EZ10/95 has now also the ABS light problem with estimated 350,000km. Once after the start stopped and after a few minutes went out again, the next start it stayed on and lights up since then. After this can hardly be overlooked here in the forum, I did not worry at first –> Steuergrät solderen! Brav with the 4mm-six-edge three screws at the STG solved, in order to then miserably despair at number 4 (the most difficult to reach) then… I have now certainly 5 different hexagonal nuts, a Torx-screw with levers, various pliers and actually the correct outer torx-nut from the car mechanician tried out. The screw does not open! The head just seems to be too round… Now the question, to people who have built the control device apart already times: Is it in your opinion a way (manage?) to get the thing out without having to unscrew the screw and without destroying the board or other important parts is actually to be destroyed?

Learning to use remote control. Or: How do I drive the customer crazy…
Hello forum, I don’t have to give it a key when I buy from the cabrio. Saying from the seller: “I don’t know if my father has ever had one?” Ok, I didn’t think it was bad, I took that from the winter V70 and let him learn. Have looked here and on the Internet a bit and nowhere found a source that says that the radio remote control was standard equipment. I didn’t want to take up the dashboard on suspicion. Fortunately I got a receiver now and wanted to start programming. I packed the receiver and then drove to the next district with (former contract) Volvo workshop. Small booth, some 850s and X70s on the farm, I thought, here you are right. Young man at the reception, actually quite friendly. “Hello, I would like to let the key be taught here today, but I don’t know if I need to have one more computer.” “So easy that’s not, there we have to make a appointment”.

Seats from the 850s in V70I fitting?
Hello dear community, I would like to buy my moose new seats. Can you tell me if the seats of a Volvo 850 (front seats and rear bench) fit into a 97 V70 2.5 celebration? How elaborate and complicated is the installation and installation? Is there a guide for this somewhere? Thank you and many greetings, Holger

Injection nozzles only slightly inject a then no more at all? Petrol pressure 3 bar. I guess now that it is at the immobilizer, or do I see this wrong?

Volvo 850 T5R Power loss at turbo effect
Hello again. I hope you can help me. I have the following problem: As soon as the charging pressure indicator is in the middle and the turbo should be in use, it accelerates enormously power – it accelerates much slower than it should. Sometimes it is also short. Error code is not stored. What could be the cause? I think of something like solenoid valve for turbo control (N75) but measured it and the values fit. Membrane of the wastegate works.(tested with pressure pump) Mention the car still runs normally in idle run. Also when driving as long as the effect of the turbo does not use. Recently it was completely maintained…. was made: *Service incl. oil change, petrol filter… *complete ignition system new *dish belt incl. water pump *all vacuum hoses new *complete charging air penetration new *new air mass meter *new camshaft sensor *new turbo (18T) *crank housing ventilation incl. all hoses new *dail seal new, exhaust manifold seal new *complete charging air seal new *complete charging air seal new *new air pressure meter *new air meter *new air meter *new air meter *new air sensor *new air sensor *new air sensor sensor *new air sensor *new air sensor *new air filter *new air filter *new air filter

Volvo 850 2.5 20V 170 hp has no power
Hi, I got my Volvo 850 2.5 20V with 170 hp again the nen buddy now about 2.5 years, because he does not need it anymore, but somehow he has no power. In advance, I bought the car about 3.5 years ago, according to Tacho he had run at that time about 310T the KM counter stood but there already, then I drove about 25T and my buddy 2.5 years loosely 75T, so he already ran clearly over 400T. The engine still runs as I got it at that time, he really did not have power at that time, he runs with downhill and back wind 170 to 180 KM/h and does not accelerate really fast. The tooth belt is new a year ago, my buddy had made it once and spark plugs also, it can not be that, the engine runs very well, I would say, no clapping in the stand he really runs great and very calmly grasps like a thick V8 am therefore really surprised. Oil consumption was and is still very high 1 liter on 1T he does not have a clue about the performance.

Ventilation again (power)
Hi all, I got my v70I (year 96) three years ago in December. short time Later (January) my fan got off and I quickly bought and installed one at Polar Parts. At that time I didn’t know this forum or vehicle parts Albert 😉 and it had to go fast because we had only one car. This year we have a second car (a 12 year old golf), whose heating keeps the windows free without any problems, while with my elk the heating has to run on full gas! I can’t imagine that this was so from the beginning! Can that be that the cheap fans also have less power?
