Hello people!Right from the front: Yes I know there are so many topics about oils, but they go so far in detail that I don’t know what to buy… I want to make an oil change in my Volvo v50 over the next few weeks. LEIDER I am very confused by several topics here in the forum and in other Google entries, which oil is really the best for my 2.0 diesel. Now in the manual, what is from 5W30, in forums, however, is recommended times 0W30 times 0W40 with several letter combinations before.I have completely lost track.I would like to buy a good or a VERY good oil because I don’t want to be stingy at such things. Can I recommend what oil I can buy with a very good conscience? I don’t pull trailers and drive 90% alone with the car, live in flat land and the temparatures rise with us at the Baltic Sea as well as ever -15°c Can I take this here:https://www.kfzteile24.de/details?… Here again the cut-out from the service:

Noise passenger side dashboard above
Hello Elchgemeinde, my little friend V50, 2.0D, Model 10, is now doing all the honor of his equipment line “Summum”… Say, he hums, or snorts easily. The whole thing is best reproducible in thrust operation around the 2000 tours. I would suspect the difficult to locate place in the area of the right dashboard – rather up towards the window window window. The SuFu was not target in this case or I used the wrong keywords 🙁 Would be nice if I got a tip here. Greeting bibodo

Wind noises and snoring at B-pillars definitely gone!!
As already announced in a Fred before, I once made a photo series with detailed explanations, how to fix the problems known to us very effectively. The car is much quieter. One no longer has the feeling that the windows do not close exactly or similar. The time spent is approx. 1 – 1.5 hours. Who dares not do this I like to do it (area Ruhrpott – Cologne – Bonn). If anything is unclear… ask. Greeting GuidoKlapper- und müllfreie B-Säule

Chip Tuning V70 1 2.0l 126ps
Hello, I’m thinking of buying a stage 1 chip tuning for my V70 2.0 with 126 hp. It would be 126 hp -> 138 hp and 170 Nm -> 187 Nm.https://www.turboperformance.de/…/2.0-10v-126PS Has anyone already tried this with the 2-litre engine? Doesn’t that bring anything or is it worth it? Best regards Albert

Volvo C 70 no demand for sale
Hello, I think about a vehicle change after and started 3 months ago to offer my convertible from 2007 at (mobile etc.) . So far there was almost no demand ? That has surprised me very much , because a mileage of 130000 is for a diesel yes not so the problem . And also optically he makes still a very good impression . I still need for me a Combi , and would also want to stay with Volvo again . That it is Nov. and one can sell a convertible worse in winter is already clear to me . It is also not an emergency sale , but that no buyer finds me already thoughtful . What do you have for experiences .

Need your help with the V50 decision (vs. V70?)
Well, if you’re researching on the web, you’ve got a shared opinion about the V50. The Ford level seems to be showing up somehow. I’m originally from the V40 (it’s more or less half Mitsubishi). He didn’t even have a few problems…. Trend is definitely going towards the Volvo 5 cylinders, just because of your conscience. Are there any experiences on your part, if all the “diseases” of the V50 with the facelifts have been reasonably corrected? I’m interested in a model year from 2011. Or say, I should rather avoid something else. I’m aware that there are problems with every vehicle or not and that you can read dizzy on the Internet. Alternatively, there would be a V70 in the game, but then it would be more of a year 2005, because of the price. At the V50 I would tend to be a diesel, at the V70 to the gasoline engine, there is nothing in the tax sense… Hope you can help me something… Thank you!

Various questions about the Volvo Navi RTI
Hello, for a few days I have been driving a V50 with RTI Navi. I have a few questions about the operation: – At the start I can choose between simple and advanced mode. How can I switch to one of these variants after selection? – The TMC function gives me riddles. I have set the standard option (IMHO semi-automatic) in the traffic message options. In the rush hour I entered a STrecke, where there are guaranteed 4-5 traffic jams (permanent construction sites etc.). After some time the TMC symbol was displayed on the top left of the map – but no announcement or similar. How can I read this traffic message now? In the traffic message menu -> I always get read messages: “No traffic message available”. – 500m in front of the destination in a small village where there are guaranteed no traffic changes, I want to get there and again the message “changed traffic situation – new route 150m shorter, accept, reject or display” (meanwise). – How can I fix the TMC station? How can I stop the station without stopping my channel? I just have to stop the route again.

Volvo V50 2.0 FlexiFuel can be converted to LPG – what to note ?
Hello, For a week now I am proud owner of a V50 2.0F R design. Now the question arises: Does it make sense to install a Prins LPG gas system in the car with the FlexiFuel system or should you continue driving on ethanol (E85) ? I intend to have a Prins VSI II with a 62 L tank installed, of course with the loading floor increase of about 2cm from the AWD model. The offer from the gas builder of 1900€ is already available – what about the ethanol sensor at LPG operation – “spins” which then does not exist without flow? Who has already been able to gain experience here and what other things to consider ? Thank you for your input.

Sense of the auxiliary air pump / secondary air supply??
Moinsen, it asks me a question: What is the purpose and purpose of the secondary air supply available in some Volvos? I don’t see it yet… Second question in the context: does a return to “without secondary air” result in a deterioration in any way? Is the sec-air captured and regulated by the engine STG? Background: on my AWD is a hose of this control (from the “valve” to the downpipe, directly behind the turbocharger to pump” completely porous and hardened, therefore broken. The new part arrived yesterday. A soft, supple hose. Logically, this, because hot exhaust air will be transported again in the future hard and porous. Therefore, I am looking to expand the entire stuff or upgrade to the exhaust preheating “before Bj 96″… But only if this does not cause any disadvantage. Unfortunately, have my laptop in the workshop and can therefore not be fitted to’s Vadis… Markus

The good one gives up his mind.
Well, that’s probably it with my buddy. after more than 500000 kilometers the cylinder compression is gone. However, I don’t think in the least to put the loved ones on a junkyard, he really doesn’t deserve that. I think, if you drive with such a working animal many, many kilometers, much, a lot of heart blood and even more money, then suddenly a little more becomes out of a 22 year old car and you start to love it. Long speech, short sense, the engine is most likely to be according to my knowledge. nevertheless, have driven it again to the Volvo workshop to be sure, but those also mean that it is more like that. Yes… I plan to expand the old engine and replace it with a younger 20 V selected by Volvo. That will cost so around 1000€, but that’s really worth it. However, can I possibly even have a turbo engine installed? That would be pretty cool, as I think, but rather a dream, or? MfG Moritz Moritz
