Hello together, yesterday I bought the first Volvo of my not so young life: a Volvo C70 Momentum 2.4i gasoline with 125 kW. The car has only 71000km down, partly the previous owner (or his wife, because it was her car) did not drive 5000km a year. Nevertheless, the C70 regularly received its customer service. Also he had almost new summer tyres and also new winter tyres are included. Technically he seems to be very well maintained. Externally, there are some parking racks, but I want to eliminate them with the time. I am happy about my new purchase. But what bothers me, that’s the question about the timing belt change! This has not yet been done (is also no wonder with the low driving performance), but at least the car is already 10 years old! So my question: When should I let the tooth belt change at my C70? What are the maintenance intervals at all? Many thanks to you all for your answers! mfg racingherb

V50 1.6D Rucking
What was the idea of my V50 1.6D MY 2007 (i.e. VFL) with approx. 180tkm is a little bit of a bit of a refuelling since the summer of last year? It was a strange thing to say, that there was always – not reproducible and apparently arbitrarily. At first it was only a small “slip-off” – the car went almost full into the engine brake and after a millisecond back to the previous gas level again (also Tempomat just stay on). There was no error in this case (have been read out in a contract workshop). So nothing changed and went on, was also not a bad thing, only a little bit surprising. Since I had it several times in a short time now, I took care to know whether any regularity starts up and the following thing occurred to me: – It only occurs on a warm engine – It occurs all 400 – 600km, sometimes a small Ruckler in between, but longer rucking again only in this interval. – Refresh it can be put off, wait, again, again, again it runs perfectly last week on the highway half the resounding was absolutely no part of the time.

V50 2.0D DPF Sporadic no power, emergency running program
Hello guys, I have a funny problem with my V50. And it started last week that he jerked at speeding up. And now on the weekend he suddenly had no leistng, but went away again. Yesterday evening came out a message: engine system, maintenance required with a yellow triangle with exclamation mark. This morning the message was still there, but he suddenly had no more power (no more than 2000 revolutions). Was dan today at noon in a workshop and had it read out. There came out the following: OBD error code p2002: soot particle filter bank 1 – efficiency under minimum error code p2452 – diffusion pressure sensor soot particle filter, function flawed. Error code p2454: -difference pressure sensor soot particle filter, signal too low Now the workshop told me that they can’t know about it and do nothing. I should drive to Volvo. They said to me that the particle filter is full or a sensor is broken and I should make a quick lap on the highway to burn it free. Now I know the car has a good time to do it. I have a good time to do it.

Hanging out the vertebrae and oil in the surrounding area
Hello, after a long time I have again a problem with my V70 D5 my09. The faithful companion has unfortunately hung out the rod of the swirl flap independently, which is not the biggest problem. However, the friendly of course wanted to sell a new swirl flap for limp 800€ ?? For the suspended rod there is yes ne reperatur solution for little money, however, he has in the area of the swirl flap also some oil tracks which according to volvo are quite bad, but according to my workshop of trust only oil residues from undertouring or short distances drive. I now have to admit that unfortunately because our city car was in total damage and my wife of the often short distance was on the road. From the oil I attach to you a photo and it would be nice if you could say your opinion about it. Car has now 170tkm down. I arrived soon the tooth change is there and I wanted to look at it all. Thanks in advance!

Rain sensor – is retrofitting worth it ?
Hello, for a few weeks have a used S80 (BJ 1999) with a great equipment. Only the rain sensor is missing. From my last rental car I was very spoiled by the comfort of an existing rain sensor (except for the rain sensor in the Renault, which was scrap), in the current weather situation (continuously changing light precipitation) you have to constantly huddle without rain sensor at the windscreen wiper. Especially during long highway rides this is annoying. Therefore my question: how well does the rain sensor work ? – is it worth retrofitting (is that at all ?) ?

Your Volvo XC90 (2002 to today)
The magazine “AUTO TEST” will soon publish a second-hand car purchase consultation on the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) and will also use the experience of the MOTOR-TALK users who drive such a car. If you would like to participate in this, I would ask you to answer the following short questions in this topic: 1. Your Volvo XC90 (2002 to today): Year of construction, model and motorization? 2. How many kilometers did you drive with it and what proportion does urban traffic have? 3. Number of required workshop stays/costs: too low, appropriate or too high? 4. Do you particularly like the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) …? 5. Do you particularly resent the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) …? 6. Would you buy the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) again? I am happy if one or the other takes part. Please don’t write too much, short quotes have the chance to be published (at least if they are representative).

Reviews XC70 D5, 2005, 136 kW searched
Hello! After some comparison rides with other XC70 / V70 and S60 models I notice that my own XC70 D5, 2005, 136 kW in the interior is very loud, roars like a leaky exhaust (but that’s definitely fine), the acceleration (11 sec and more to 100, problems with overtaking in the range around 100-120 kmh..) not intoxicating, very long starting time, until 2000 rpm it lasts miserable long, then finally comes the “Schub”, but soon after that is gone and from 3000 rpm only ends in volume, and not least an enormous consumption of not under 8.5 liters diesel on motorway rides, in normal day use was the peak value 10.0 liters on 100 km (!). S60 and V70 drivers (all with the 185 hp D5er), who have made a test ride with my car, were each of the opinion that “there would be something not fit”. Also my ride with a S60 and a V70 have clearly shown that the behaviour of the vehicles is quite different, as yourstance is to take note of the order of the X70, how you have seen your fault.

Cooling water loss……heat exchanger?!
Hello dear people, the Sufu spits out a lot on this topic, but nothing that I can so easily connect MeinV 70, Built 2000, 140 HP has slight waste water loss I have to drop off and then something, I have excluded the heat exchanger so far because my carpets in the footroom are all dry. Today I changed the preliminary resistance from the blower, but I noticed that all cables in the area are slightly damp, from touching clearly cool water. Could that come from the defective or leaky heat exchanger? Thank you and greeting from VB, Peter
